I am a Texan born and bread. This article, if intended to reflect the majority of Texan Jews' experiences, is flat misleading. I live in Dallas with my Jewish wife and kids, work at a corporation, and commute to work everyday in my car. Sorry, never really liked horses. I belong to a shul of 450 families and grew up at one much larger. While it is true that we are minority and this sure ain't NY, I have rarely experienced antisemitism and have a cordial working relationship with my Christian coworkers. As a former Texan and current aliyah activist, I believe that Texans make fantastic olim! Not only are they equipped with the necessarily large quantities of both hardiness and "national" pride, they are honest, fun-loving, and good humored people who love being a part of the Israeli immigration adventure.
