1. seems not to be getting the retards sendingthese missles
(04.09.11)
so keep on fighting them please until you get this stopped.
2. Our strategy is worth nothing.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (04.09.11)
This tit-for-tat crap is ineffective. It will do nothing to establish deterrence. It's more a PR effort to make us believe the gov't. is doing something than an attempt to cause Hamas any real damage. With Ehud Barak as Defense Minister, you can be sure we will do nothing meaningful. The underlying assumption of our make-believe retaliation is to not ''escalate'' the situation. In other words, we are playing Hamas' game. But escalation is exactly what we should do - every incident, even one mortar, even one missile, should elicit a very disproportionate response. What Hamas is now doing should elicit a massive attack on Gaza, including the destruction of major infrastructure.
3. Words words and more words
Sagi   (04.09.11)
Every Minister and deputy and every other General add their two cents worth. Words and words but no action. It could have been finished years ago.
4. When will this retard government start cast shield 2?
Mel ,   Chicago   (04.09.11)
5. So it would seem, #2
Cameron ,   USA   (04.09.11)
These pathological runts will not relent until they're scared out of their wits, and wounded to the point of inaction. You still providing that lot with petrol and electricity?
6. "Attack is the best form of defence". I learned
tanya ,   tel aviv israel   (04.09.11)
these words in the Soviet Union primary school.
7. #2. Our Disproportionate Responses
Yaakov ,   Be'er Sheva, Yisrael   (04.09.11)
I cannot agree more with #2 Terry from Eilat. The PR semi-war that we are fighting now is not only irrelevant toward any sound strategy leading to any semblance of victory, since that is not what is being fought for that purpose, but very dangerous because one day there could be a high number of 'truly innocent' civilians. And I remark 'truly civilians' meaning Israeli civilians, since the majority of Arab civilians not only sympathize but actively help and collaborate with their cowardly but beloved terrorists. Our politicians need to recover from their high fiver provoked by an undue and dangerous love for world acceptance – mainly our favorite hidden enemy, the misgovernment of the USA. We have no option but to stay “alone,” meaning without any goyim powerful friends. And I do believe that such is the best place to be at this historical junction, because it has always been in such moments of high uncertainty that HaShem unsheathes his majestic Sword against our enemies. Having said that it is my opinion that much blood would be saved if our politicians would wear their pants like men and apply themselves to truly finish this quagmire. Our minimalist responses are disproportionate in the sense that they do not invoke the terror among Arabs that their constant bombing and rocketing of school buses and schools would be creating among the Israeli population were we not the most courageous people in the world. Let us remember that each of us has 333 Muslims per capita to struggle with; no other nation has had such odds against her. If we would instill in them the fear they are trying as hard as they can to instill in us, they – being a mass of pathetic cowards as they are, proven by their own miserable actions of hiding behind their women and children and by their flat defeats at our hands when they had the advantage of numbers and weaponry – would cry and beg for peace. But up to this day they have always had the cooperation of other imperialist and colonialist countries (Europe, England, France, Germany, America, Russia and the highly fetid UN) that filled with antisemitism lend them a shoulder to cry on and a hand to prevent them from being utterly defeated and brought to the surrender table. It is absolutely and inevitably needed a truly proportionate response from us that will bring the Arabs to their knees and the rest of the world to consider that this time, this time, the Israelis shall not go down to our demise crying and hoping that always close hands will finally open in solidarity for our just cause of peacefully living, and living in our historical Holy Land without partitions and shame. And if the world was not so blinded by their spiritual and social AIDS, they would realize that by aiding and abating the Arabs in their attempted conquest of the HaShem-apportioned Israeli Land, they are simply creating all the necessary conditions for one Final Day HaShem delivering a Fair, Just and most phenomenal response on our account and no goyim piece of land shall be safe. Isn't it most interesting to see that the very people who willfully refuse to accept the predictions of our prophets are the ones creating the right conditions for their fulfillment?
8. Haniye - quite a piece of work
Moragh   (04.09.11)
Whilst he's telling the world and urging Israel to end their aggression, he's busy dropping his rockets on southern Israel. At least I have to give him a "well done" on one issue in particular and that is that the circus clowns at the UN believe him and condems innocent Israel. How did clowns (members of UN) ever manage to sit in at UN meetings re. Gaza vs. Israel and point their ugly fingers at Israel at every opportunity they get. The "bucks" must be good huh? I don't suppose these clowns are aware that G-d is watching and taking note. Oh! sorry, I forgot, a friend told me they were all satan lovers. Yes, of course, now I understand their hatred towards Israel and G-d. Goodness me! once again my apologies. It is absolutely horrid how One forgets once One hits 90. Whilst Haniye is telling the world, and urging Israel to stop their aggression, he's busy dropping his rockets (in the first place) on Southern Israel. Can't your rockets go any further Hanny boy? At lest I have to give him a "well done" on one issue in particular and that is that the circus boys at the UN actually believe him and condemns Israel. How did clowns, commonly known as 'Members of the UN' ever manage to sit in at meetings in favour of parasitic Gazans vs. Israel. I guess I will die never knowing who killed who. And that silly looking man (or is it a woman) wearing a little white cap, or, wait a moment, could that be his head bandaged up after a strike from one of Israel's rockets. Ach! poor thing. Get well soon!
9. Israel could use its "secret" weapon for a change...
Menachem ,   Israel   (04.09.11)
IDF. What's the point of having one of the best armies in the world if we don't use it properly? Lock up Defeat Minister Barak for 1 week and give free hands to IDF and the Gaza problem will be a history.
10. 2 Terry
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (04.09.11)
I understand why you believe that the lack of a full response means "we are playing by the rules of hamas" but I also agree that by playing all of our cards in one go isn't the way. Having the threat of potentially "much worse to come" cannot be a threat anymore after the threat is carried out. Especially if a major operation like previous Gaza Op is carried out before they rocket Tel Aviv. The IDF recently said that there wouldn't be an operation against Gaza which i read as "there is an operation against Hamas Rockets in the planning". The question is when we play our trump card and we don't see the whites of their eyes right now.
11. Hamas
Jorge ,   Israe/USA/Argentina   (04.09.11)
What happens with the victorius speechs? It seems that they are busy living underground the "heroic resistence" The only winning thing from hamas is the war in insulting.
12. Barak is a miserable incompetent
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (04.09.11)
and pantywaist. He hasn't changed since the bleak day in 2000 when the rug pilots brutally lynched two of our soldiers - and he responded by striking a few empty buildings. He needs to be replaced by another Arik Sharon.
13. Israel's 'acceptable'status quo
Marcel ,   Florida   (04.09.11)
What ever happened to the idea of ending the threat from Gaza permanently instead of tolerating this growing monsters new found abilities ? The political and IDF morons in charge have forgotten the concept of defeating ones enemies and so this will go on and on and on and on until more and more Israeli's are killed by Hamas perfecting their weapons and targeting. How did Israel get so stupid ?
14. I guess they want to keep doing this for another 60 years
Lavy   (04.09.11)
Stop this never ending war once and for all please for the lovwe of G-D.
15. Reason Barak will not protect Israel ??
Tom Hoban ,   Lincoln USA   (04.09.11)
People in the United States are strongly wondering if Barak is not receiving money from Hamas and Iran. Take the handcuffs off the IDF and let them do their job. Why else would a country tolerate such abuse ? No other Nation would tolerate it.
16. Dumb Statements
Dan Ness ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.09.11)
It was stupid to claim that an attack on a school bus had caused the elevated counter-attack. The leadership should be conveying the message that any attack on any of our civilians, old or young, will bring death and destruction on the enemy in greater proportion. Unfortunately for us we have "talking heads" for our present leadership.
17. Israeli inaction is shamefull
Tomi Weiss ,   Serbia   (04.09.11)
Israel should go and take the whole of Gaza withouth hasitation, arest, expell and neutralize all Hamas memers and activists and bring to justice all Islamic criminals from the strip. This situatiion have to e terminated NOW!!
18. We are "occupiers"
Sagi   (04.09.11)
and as long as we "occupy" an area in which we can breathe free air we shall have enemies. Only when we make it clear to these enemies that they will cease to exist if they do not leave us alone, will this on going saga end. We do not speak a clear language nor do we take decisive actions. Tit for tat is not a policy that will bring any conclusion. Only total capitulation, down on their knees begging for mercy and then we shall treat them like equals and we shall rebuild their land and country, something their brothers should have done years ago. A contribution of one day's oil production could have had them living in wealth and honor but they prefer to "destroy the occupier". The only "occupier" that they should fear is the one occupying their mind with destruction instead of construction, negative instead of positive.
19. JESUSALEN
JESUSALEN ,   JESUSALEN   (04.09.11)
we killed a lot of civilians to us every civilian was a terrorist these are now in civilian clothes that makes everybody free game but if they came in our perimeter we lit them up and when we would pull the body out and when we would search the car we would find nothing this took place time and time again no harm,no foul, that is ok do not worry about it because this is a new type of war this is an eradication i honestly feel we are commiting genocide over here i do not believe in killing civilians and i am not going to kill civilians for anything
20. nothing in this aticle convinced me any of these
ralph   (04.09.11)
experts knows anything of value. history appears to have taught them nothing. our politicians and military elite learned nothing from the lebanon war to tday. if they had been in charge in 40-48 there would be no state.
21. Those Grads Are Giving the Desert Sand Hell
World Citizen ,   the world   (04.09.11)
They never hit anything but dirt. It is almost as if the people aiming them deliberately pointed them in the wrong direction. But then again, maybe they are being aimed into the desert on purpose? Maybe those flying pipe bombs are being launched by Israelis dressed as Arabs to give Bibi a reason to murder Palestinians? He is looking for an excuse to expel the Palestinian people from their homeland. Israel wants another war before the UN decides to recognize Palestine as a nation under Resolution 377. Israel is fooling no one.
22. rockets
sp ooky ,   birmingham uk   (04.09.11)
this is a tatic , used many times before, by armys world wide its called probing , see how for they can go before a repsponce testing the idf before the big one comes .from hamas , remember the first line of defence is strike first
23. Hamas intent
R Blum ,   USA   (04.09.11)
It is obvious that Hamas is trying to incite the uprisings in the Arab world to target Israel while they are already hot under the collar. Journalists: always cite the exact number of missiles/rockets launched at peaceful Israeli habitations, and reiterate the exact citations of the genocidal Hamas Charter that targets men, women, & children. This way, when transparent protestations that Hamas did not target a schoolbus appear, the lie will be clear to any observer, not only to Israelis. Do not assume that the world is against Israel unless an effort is made (which should have been years ago) to clear up the exact facts in English, French, etc. This cannot solve the situation on the ground but at least it will clear up repeated geese chatter in the Western media.
24. #21. What seems to be your gripe?
flyingdoc57   (04.09.11)
I don't understand what your big problem is. Hamas is, as you put it, hitting nothing but dirt. So what. Israel is hitting nothing but cockroaches. Are you an entymologist, whose heart bleeds for some dead cockroaches? Israel is doing Gaza a big favor, providing it with free pest control. Perhaps some day, human beings will (once again) inhabit that land, and will appreciate the eradication of the cockroaches and other vermin that presently rule. P.S. And now, we await postings from Matty Groves, under the usernames of Sol Jacobs, Barry Grau, Bernie Thau and others. Come slither out from under your rock, Matty. It's O.K. We Jews won't harm you. We merely want to make fun of you.
