1. Scary Numbers In Favor of New Arab State
emanon ,   USA   (04.12.11)
No way there should be even 1% in favor of he creation of a new arab state in the Middle East. These numbers are still too close for comfort. More importantly, what does Israel want? The last time I checked Israel was not part of the US, but an independent country. Let them act like it!
2. "Island of stability and democracy" is not a mere slogan
Tahl   (04.12.11)
The recent turmoil and riots throughout the Arab world underscore the fact that Israel is indeed just that - making it the US's most reliable ally in the region. And Americans come to realize that.

Ive noticed recently support and interest for PSC Palestine Solidarity Campaign waning and why? They are increasingly seen as shallow, cynical, self seeking and devoid of any ideas. Trying to boycott Israel Jewish businesses and academics seems to have become an end in itself and playing on Victimhood is backfiring when seen against Abbas intransigence and Hamas aggression Try talking as I have to any of their activists about the route to peace - and they have no agenda, offer nothing constructive - indeed show no interest in changing the status quo for the people that matter - the Palestinians in West Bank and Gaza
5. While the Muslim-Arab world is in turmoil, the single most..
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.12.11)
...reliable liberal democratic in the midst of it and the longest, closes and most loyal ally of the US in the region has been Israel, standing there like a rock in the face of the rise of Islamism that is spreading in the region, threatening both Europe and North America. If Israel were not there, the EU, Canada and the US would have to invent it. But Israel is there, at the fore front of liberal democracy. The only question is: Does the President of the US realize this reality and knows to appreciate it...?? With the amount of built-in hostility the present occupant of the Oval Office has demonstrated towards the nation-state of the Jewish people, its leaders, its institution and its people, one wonders whether emotion or reason dictate his steps.... It is time for a change....!!
6. clever linking
cynic ,   nevaland   (04.12.11)
whenever there is this kind of poll where you put israel vs palestinian issue, Israel comes out as some sort of winner. But link 'Israel' + 'our taxmoney' and suddenly the view changes. Try it. Look up a poll to sending our taxmoney to Israel and people are suddenly not so supportive anymore. oh...it's 76% against sending money.......
7. SUPPORT WILL CONTINUE TO DROP
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.12.11)
Even with the recent Gallop Poll 2011 taken every year in February for the last 30 years or so, the Pals drooped from 20% approval down to 17%. that drop occurred in just one year. In essence the Pals lost 15% in one year. What happened in the last year? First, the Pallywood crowd was busted on the flotilla. Pretending to be a "humanitarian aid issue, it was proved wrong: 1) No aid was needed in Gaza. 2) 3 of the 6 ships carried no aid. 3) the ships that had aid, most was useless i.e. outdated medicine, old useless medical equipment, clothes that were old and not usable, shoes with holes in the soles etc. 4) Video's caught the terrorists lying, they started the fight but denied it the world saw the truth. 5) Pictures and video's released showed Gaza to be fine,NOT the "prison camp" portrayed. Just another Middle class region. 6) Jordan started a border skirmish with Hezbollah's help tried to blame Israel and got busted again lying as the video's came out proved them wrong and even the UN sided with Israel. 7) Hamas killed 4 people in a drive-by shooting as the talks started in the fall, and held a victory parade to celebrate the killings. People are catching on to Pallywood, they don't like be cynically manipulated. That is what's reflected in all polling in the West. Put simply even people of "good will" have caught on to the fabricated stories to elicit undeserved sympathy. Just the last TWO WEEKS we've all seen it again. Hamas barraged Israel with hundreds of ROCKETS then declared a unilateral ceasefire in a cynical attempt to avoid Israeli defensive retaliation. Then accused Israel of "aggression" for responding to the attacks? Nobody is buying it, except for the usual suspects, i.e. Arab League, UN etc., but it was too late. Hamas was busted with their Pallywood crap. Watch support continue to drop. Israel is the only stable country in the region. With or without a new Arab country, the way things are going, why would anybody want another unstable Arab country?

9. 49% Disapprove and that number is growing
Jon ,   Baltimore US   (04.12.11)
Claim all you want that the Palestinians have no claims, no country, no God given rights as you say the Jewish people do; but more andmore people see that Israel is only trying to hold on to land it stole from it's neighbors in a war we supported 40 years ago and will not give the landback nor freedomto the people who live on it. They stil seem to think they can wish the Palestinians away and make the international community support the ethnic cleansing of the entire west Bank. More andmore people are seeing that Israel has just been stalling for years and will continue to do so rather than make a true peace. We need to stop supporting it with American tax dollars and risking the lives of our soldiers for radical settler extremists and racist governments. We have had enough and need to stop blindly supporting them when everyone in the world cansee we are wrong.

'Ethic cleansing' hey? How come with all this 'ethnic cleansing' the Palestinian population by their own figures (See Palestinian Bureau of statistics) has quadrupled since the 6 day war? How come, with all this 'ethnic cleansing' the Palestinian economy is doing so well? How come with all this 'ethnic cleansing' the Palestinians continue to refuse to negotiate with Israel?
11. No. 9 Jon
NYC Girl   (04.12.11)
What a bunch of hyperbolic nonsense. No American soldier has ever died (or even fought) to protect settlers, or any Israeli for that matter. Not only that, but Ariel Sharon warned Bush that going to war against Iraq would eventually come back to bite him on the ass. So even the accusation that Israel pushed America into a war against Saddam Hussein is nonsense. The problem is that you apparently have an agenda that makes it impossible to separate reality from your wet dreams about the Palestinians. And as far as your charge that there's any sort of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians, when is the last time any population increased while they were victims of ethnic cleansing?
12. Brainwashing of uninformed american public no longer works
christianpalestinian ,   las vegas   (04.12.11)
The entire world (including most americans) has grown sick and tired of israeli policies towards the occupied Palestinian people.
13. Israeli Support is Actually Higher
Ron ,   OC, US   (04.12.11)
Since the targeting of the scholl bus, Jerusalem bus bombing and the Fogel family murders Israels stock has gone up. Not because the Jews are victims. But, because Israel hit back hard and the Iron Dome technology. Israel's stock was higher after Cast Lead than before it, in spite of Goldstone.
14. If Israel would speak with one voice
Rachel ,   US   (04.12.11)
the numbers would be even higher. Instead you have idiot Barak screaming about a tsnumami and yellow Bibi considering giving up MORE land. Israel has a strong hand to play but weak players.
15. Who Cares What People Around The World
Brazen   (04.12.11)
think of a pali state. This is a Myth the more you say it doesnt MAKE IT SO. The Important poll is what the Israeli people say, nothing else matters PERIOD.

17. Poll support for Israel
Edward ,   Savannah   (04.12.11)
If there's one thing for certain in the U.S. is that there's a heck of a lot of support for Israel than what is reflected in this poll. Only a SMALL amount of people get asked these questions so they have to "average" out the percentages. If there's one thing that WILL bring down that illegal alien Muslim poser in the White House and land him in prison where he belongs will be for him and his crowd to actually do something that would threaten Israel's existance!!! He can stick his finger in Netanyahu's eye, but that's as far as he better go. Too bad Netanyahu and government don't take more advantage of this situation.
18. a Friend?
Aidy Griffin ,   sydney australia   (04.16.11)
What does the US get out of its alliance with Israel - apart from loathing in the entire Arab world, an empty wallet and depleted military stocks? The answer is zilch Israel is a costly headache for the US and the US doesn't derive a single tangible benefit from it. When the cost of having a single ally is the alienation of the entire region where is the sense in that? Wake up USA you are being conned and fleeced.

Fully correct. I read exactly the same in an article by the Sun's foreign correspondent and in an editorial in the Star on the page 3 opinions page.. Its clear the Pals have missed the bus

You are so correct Mark. I as hearing another fairy Pallywood tale. Seems they are saying the Us gives Israel over 3Billion $ a year to buy military equipment. They even say Israel gets it in cash at the start of the year and Israel invests if for in US bonds until they spend it. then it seems Israel has to spend only 75% of it in the US and incredibly Israel can specify how much parts the US suppliers have to use from Israeli companies. It gets even better seems there are no receipts reporting or accounting. You could not make it up. Could you?
