those who hate the palestinians and other arabs are also anti-semites. we all know why. anti-semitism/anti-semite are one/two of the most used words.
6. YNet, I've got a beef!
John ,   Alaska   (04.15.11)
The article reads ... after a group of settlers arrived at an area located between the settlement of Itzhar and the Palestinian villages of Asira al-Qibliya and Urif. ... Why is it that the places where Jews live are called "settlements", while the places were Arabs live are called "villages". This phraseology implies a sense of permanency in the Arab villages, while many or most of these Arabs are recent arrivals. Further, it implies an agreement with the world that the places Jews live in their own land are somehow temporary and not legitimate, while these Jews are in fact returning to a homeland with a Jewish history that goes back for millennia. If you could, please call the places where Jews live "villages". It will imply that these are in fact places where the Jews have a right to live.

Mirriam Webster gives this defintion of "antisemitism": hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or racial group Only recently have Arabs started misapplying this word to themselves. Co-opting a word with significance to Jews, just like in the 1960's they started referring to themselves as "Palestinians". But just as you have no claim to the Promised Land, you have no claim to millennia of persecution against your people. The children of Ishmael have been among the most virulent antisemites in all history. Making the name apply to them as well as Jews is just a way to steal for themselves sympathy and minimize the suffering of the Jewish people through history. IMO, however, you can have the "antisemitism" derived words. The Jews should call the treatment the Arabs and others have given them by what it is: "Hatred of Jews". Perhaps this makes it specific enough that you can't pretend that you don't understand what the term means: "hatred of Jews". As in "the motivation of B'Tselem to malign Jews".
8. Complaining about white racism is bad?
Basil ,   Morgantown, USA   (04.15.11)
We see people who talk about anti-Semitism, though the Arabs there have in their veins the blood of the ancients, the Semites from the Hebrews to the Canaanites and Arabs. If someone shows video footage where the Arabs are abused they are called anti-Semites because for some people racism against Arabs is acceptable. I am sure there are Arabs who think that way, too. Those who think that are allowing darkness into their hearts.
9. Not Good: they should b handing them stones!
EZ ,   US   (04.15.11)
It would quicken the pace of the pals self-inflicted demise!
10. Did you notice
Yosi ,   Gilo Israel   (04.15.11)
that Bshalmim didn't show the Pagastinians and what they were doing? Did you notice all the rocks flying to the Jewish men? What, did they come from nowhere? The Pagastinians were the ones throwing them. Leave it to Bshalmim to edit and then lie as in so many of their clips. Thanks, by the way, to our good friends Albrecht and #5 dellusional for their Facist comments.
11. another B'stelem Pallywood production!!!

Another B'stelem pallywood production !!!!

Howard Immanuelson ,   US   (04.15.11)
Yes, we do know why that term is heavily used. Partly it comes from posters such as yourself that makes an assumption as to what the term anti-Semitism actually means without bothering to look it up in a dictionary. Hint -- it does not apply to Arabs.
14. Rottenmooser
Shmuel ,   Au   (04.15.11)
You clearly are very unhappy in Germany. Why dont you make alibaba and move to Israel. It's fully funded by the German government and you won't ever have to dress up in Lederhosen again...
15. You gotta enforce the law equally
Karl ,   Santa Cruz   (04.15.11)
That's the only way you can have the moral upper hand when dealing with the leftist media organizations. The IDF should know better.
16. I didn't see any targets...
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.15.11)
just people throwing things down a hill. Were there any injuries reported? This video doesn't show the entire story. do palestinians get arrested for throwing stones at anyone, including each other?
17. Where are the intended targets and who fired?
leo ,   usa   (04.15.11)
18. The soldiers job is to protect Palistinians?
Shmueli ,   Haifa   (04.15.11)
Actually they are the IDF, ISRAEL Defence Force, protecting Israeli citizens from would-be attackers. If the Palistinians wanted to become Israeli and enjoy the same rights and benefits of our legal system, they are welcome to become citizens; all that is needed is for Israeli Judea and Sameria and then they would all become citizens. Unfortunately, they all block such moves and thus are not citizens and do not have the rights of citizens.....their choice.
19. HEY 14, that's my guy you are talkingabout
(04.15.11)
hey knock it off. that's my guy you ae talking about..and yes, i am jewish and he is mine....and he is more zionist than most jews are EVER!! so shut it and zip it.....Amy
20. First aggressor...
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.15.11)
If the IDF had stopped the settlers BEFORE the Palestinians reacted, the rest would never have followed... Not stopping the first aggressor always brings a reaction from the one being attacked. We of all people know that!
21. I am sure that didn't leave anything out....
Yechiel ,   Jerusalem Israel   (04.15.11)
I am sure either the arab terrorists or the bt'salem terrorists edited the video showing arabs planting explosives or throwing rocks or starting fires as they do.
22. Their called settlers or settlements
Abdalla   (04.15.11)
Because they don t belong there you don t call it a settlement in israel. Only when it's outside Israel proving that they are outsiders not main stream Israelis
23. #22 Abdalla Wrong!
Phil ,   Ireland   (04.15.11)
In my country we have a community of people called Travellers. To them people like me are called Settlers even though I was born in Ireland, my parents were born in Ireland, my grandparents were born in Ireland, my great-gandparents were born in Ireland etc... So being called settlers doesn't mean you don't belong there.
24. # 19 @ Amy
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.16.11)
Kudos Amy, nice post. When are you & Chris making aliyah?
25. To #22 Wrong - they BELONG there
John ,   Alaska   (04.18.11)
And therein lies the point. The land is disputed. I and other reasonable people believe the land belongs to Israel as territory captured in a defensive war against Jordanian aggression. If the ersatz "Palestinian"settlements in disputed land are called villages, then logically and reasonably, places where Jews live should also be called villages.
26. can't see target of rock throwing
Ra'anan ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.15.11)
IF they were throwing rocks at Arabs, then why weren't the Arabs shown? Why were Arabs on Jewish land??? Isn't this the same settlement where 5 members of the Fogel family were murdered by neighbouring Arabs???
