1. Turkey, a secular Muslim nation
ezer   (04.14.11)
It's like saying pregnant and non-pregnant. Please make up your mind you are either secular or mouslim but can't have the cake and the icing at the same time.
2. Then we sink it
david ,   uk/rsa   (04.14.11)
3. IHH flotilla
marcel   (04.14.11)
erdogan says the flotilla is not his business yet he enables them to load knives and guns on the boats at turkish ports. This is a raving liar as his college mate pointed out-saadi. he's a loose demagogue. And he still thinks the jews are subject of the ottomons to wear their stars of david and bend down to him. Well he can kiss our rear ends many turks are good and fine people . Yet erdogan is taking turkey to an orthodox full veil state which is why he protested france's prohibition of the burkha. The IHH is on notice.
4. Israel did your part
Pedro ,   Brazil   (04.14.11)
Asking Turks to stop the flotilla. They refused. Now is Israel duty stop it. And be aware the next time maybe you confront security person with guns.
5. Brilliant move by Israel
Cynic ,   USA   (04.14.11)
Since Turkey has committed itself to a position where it says it has nothing to do with these ships, they will have no standing to complain about the actions Israel will take when it stops the ships.
6. lets see if mossad know anything about ship repairs
zionist forever   (04.14.11)
Wait for about a week or so before the flotilla is due to leave then send Mossad to Turkey and let them loose on the ships. No need to sink the things just sabotage them enough to delay the trip. The passengers have to arrange this long in advance and they have timetables can't just drop everything and go to Gaza as soon as the captain tells them time to set sail. Do this right and we can put this thing off by months which also gives the politicians time to try stop it from sailing at all. Sabotaging the boats before they set sail avoids the risk of another Mavi Mara.
7. NATO needs to dismiss Turkey from membership
Claudia ,   Tampa USA   (04.14.11)
It is glaringly obvious that Turkey has no business in NATO and that their interests do not coincide with those of all other NATO countries. This stupid experiment has run it's course, as the Turks have butchered Christians both in their own country and in Lebanon with abandon just as they do to the Kurds. Their Muslim leadership has imprisoned any of the military that might have disagreed with their descent into the darkness of Islam rule. The Turks and freedom no longer have a common base.
8. It won't matter
J K ,   NYC, USA   (04.14.11)
Israel can do the right thing and ask all parties to help avoid another Mamara, but guaranteed if it goes down the same way they'll be blamed nonetheless.
9. Solution
Seth ,   Boston, MA   (04.14.11)
Do not put the fine IDF soldiers at risk by boarding the terror boats. Just disable the boats and let them float in the sea until their Turkish Islamist buddies come and rescue them.
10. Sink IT!!!!
Moish ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.14.11)
11. So much for Turkey's 'no problems' foreign policy
Jacob Blues ,   New York City, USA   (04.14.11)
Israel should plaster the response by the Turkish Government on every wall in its press room. Along side this, Israel should place pictures of the Victoria, and the military cargo that was intercepted. Then, it should place a picture of the school bus that was blown up by HAMAS using an anti-tank missile. And when the IDF intercepts the Mammi Mammara again, and Turkey screams bloody murder, Israel should mail poster-sized copies of these images, along with Turkey's refusal to diplomatically prevent any future dust up.
12. "Not Ankara's concern" = Turkey has no rights to consider
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (04.14.11)
By taking this position - "not Ankara's concern" - Turkey has legally established that it has no maritime rights in the matter of how Israel deals with the flotilla. And by announcing that its policy is not to interfere with the plans of IHH - a designated international terrorist organization - to sail from Turkey into a lawful blockage zone around a terrorist entity (Hamas' base in Gaza), in violation of Israel's territorial waters (Israel lawfully controls Gaza's waters under UNSC242), Turkey is establishing a case for the US Congress to embargo arms deliveries to Turkey in the future, including Turkey's F-35 deal - which won't be shipped until long after Obama is booted out of office in 2012. Turkey has no friends or constituency in the US, where there is large and influential Armenian and Greek populations that HATE them. And now with no USSR worries and Turkey aligning with US enemy Iran, who needs them? Very few Turkish-Americans here, so who goes to bat for Turkey in the US?? The Jews, based on Turkish friendship with israel. BUT NOT ANY MORE!!!!!
13. Then dont complain when we hit that
Dyslexic...... ,   Israel.......   (04.14.11)
ship. When these people come looking for trouble they will find it.
14. Which flotila will have a nuke rocket from iran?
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (04.14.11)
15. Here's what ya do
John   (04.14.11)
1. Continue diplomatic requests to the Turkish government to stop the provocation. Agree to allow humanitarian goods in via 'normal' channels. 2. Continue requesting the Turkish government's assistance and make it known to the world. If that does not result in positive gains.... 3. Sink the boat if it threatens a naval blockade and sue the Turks for any cost of the operation.
16. Torpedo IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David   (04.14.11)
17. Now U can't cry when these boats roast
EZ ,   US   (04.14.11)
It is now out of turkeys hands: theyve in essence, given permission for Israel to do what it has to. This was a huge mistake for turkey: irresponsible and reckless: and they'll have to pay a heavy price. They should have just forbidden the floatill and demanded that the proper channels be used. Otherwise they are clearly supporting terrorists. If so, it was a very bad choice.
18. Flotilla Schmotilla
Sam ,   Nanuet USA   (04.14.11)
We should organize a flotilla to turkey to draw attention to the plight of the Kurds in Turkey and the Armenian Genocide. Lets see how Turkey likes that.
19. Don't risk the safety of our soldiers! Just sink it!
Yaniv ,   Israel   (04.14.11)
20. First you ask politely, then you demand, then threaten
Harry Wright ,   UK   (04.14.11)
and when all fail, finally you act. Determine a distance within Israel's territorial waters then blast a hole in the first vessel that reaches that mark after a final recorded warning. If others still continue coming, blast those too. I hope the passengers all wear life vests although those are ineffective against Israel's trained sharks that prowl the waters. Will Zoabi the first shark attack victim? I hope so.
21. No worries
Jacob Erickson ,   Holon, Israel   (04.15.11)
Turkey doesn't want to stop the flotilla, don't worry, we'll do it
22. To #1 Israel a secular Jewish nation
Deutronomy 28 ,   World   (04.14.11)
It's like saying pregnant and non-pregnant. Please make up your mind you are either secular or Jewish but can't have the cake and the icing at the same time. Lol
23. Absolute Hypocrisy
Israel ,   Israel   (04.15.11)
Not only do the Turkish publicize the fact that Israel is asking for them to help to stop this from happening - they want to claim damages for the last incident? What on Earth...
24. #7-Under these circumstances
Ypip ,   Canada   (04.15.11)
'the system' would end up doing more harm then good. Congress and Parliament should be asking some tough questions about it, and about the utility of continuing the pretense that Turkey is still a Western ally.
25. If "not Turkey concern", then they won't mind if we sink it
(04.15.11)
Let's put this latest Turkish hypocrisy and provication to the test. Turkey should remember that this is its second act of war against Israel.
26. Did you know....
Dan ,   Chicago usa   (04.15.11)
That Palestinians in Gaza have longer life expectancy and lower infant mortality than citizens of Turkey? Perhaps we should send a flotilla over to Turkey...ya know, to help with their humanitarian crisis.
27. Just take out
sIMPLE mIND   (04.15.11)
the ships propellers.
28. if
