1. Let me get this straight
BH ,   Iowa   (04.15.11)
The leader in command of the fourth most powerful military in the world is going to travel to the most powerful country in the world in order to surrender to an illiterate mob of porcine baby-killers whose only import is welfare and only exports are propaganda and terrorism. ... and that is what's considered a nationalist in Israel. If the PM would suck it up and tell BHO to go pound sand, the US Congress will be behind him 100%.
2. bibi invited by boehner to congress
moron ,   galut   (04.15.11)
do not kow tow to american left--the republicans cannot be more pro-zionist than the israelis but would like to support israel even more
3. Who want's to bet this trip will be disrupted...
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.15.11)
...by a terror attack.
4. NOTHING WILL COME OUT OF THIS
T ,   SA/USA   (04.15.11)
Hes not going to say anything in this speech next month that will satisfy the Palestinians. The Palestinians want him to stop the settlements. There is no particular peace plan unless it involves the total freeze of settlements. What good is any plan that doesnt freeze settlements and gets peace talks moving? The Quartet shouldve made its move on April 15th. Were heading towards a september diplomatic tsunami.
5. Mr. Prime Minister:
Israeli 2   (04.15.11)
Just tell them. Let's quit playing games..we all know the fanatical Arabs and the anti - Jewish lobby do not want peace and since they control the rest of the docile Arabs, there can't be any true, long lasting peace. I suggest transfering all of the so called Palestinians to Jordan. You will be getting a big round of applause and you will win the next election for sure.
6. On his knees before obumma, on his feet before congress.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (04.15.11)
No one realistically believes, not even obumma in his lucid moments, that the arabs will ever sign a REAL peace agreement but they all have to put on a show, even the crackpots.
7. He's not a strong leader
Rachel ,   US   (04.15.11)
So who really know what he will say?
8. Bibble
Ussishkin ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (04.15.11)
Its like dribble, like drivel, which is what Bibi speaks these days.
9. No time for Bibi words - time to act.
Pinhas Bayit ,   Bet HaKerem   (04.15.11)
It's hardly worth a whole speech, but for a man who believes in the power - and sound - of his own voice there'll be no telling Bibi not to bother. All he really needs to do and not say in a speech anywhere, is to get back to the negotiating table. Anything else is pure obfuscation, typical Bibi. As we all know, the weakness of the Palestinian position has now been turned into a dynamic, leading to the UN General Assembly vote in September. Anyone thinking or saying that the Palestinians are divided and helpless needs to remind themselves of how we were on the eve of the vote for partition in 1947. And we too were under occupation and not all of one mind - remember those jolly nice men in Lehi and Etzel? The position has been reversed and the Palestinians will have a majority at the GA for their independence. It would be better for Bibi not to make speeches but to resume talks urgently to find a way for Palestine and Israel to cooperate, or face pariah/outcast status for Israel for decades to come.
10. you dont count...
eporue ,   europe   (04.15.11)
he never feels the need to tell those "important" things to you... whatever, he will mess it up - as usual... not one thing, he didnt drive 100 % in the mud, by now.... lol...
11. To 1 - Boehner Not Demanding Surrender
Mark ben Josuf ,   USA   (04.15.11)
It is also not polite to refer to Cantor and Boehner as porcine baby-killers. They are just Republicans.
12. Something smells
Beauchard ,   Amsterdam   (04.15.11)
Look I do not agree with Netanyahu. I do not think he has much to offer. Actually I think he is a charlatan. On this talkback I read comments from people who agree and disagree with me. Haaretz is different. They hate Netanyahu so much that they only publish antisemitic comments in the TalkBack. You know the Jewish/Israeli conspiracy controls the US etc. type of thing. Who need external enemies?
13. In his speech to Congress
Brod ,   USA   (04.15.11)
In his speech to Congress, the PM should include a statement that says, "Judea and Samaria are Israel's liberated historic homeland-Land of Israel which Israel liberated from the Islamist-Jihadist occupiers in 1967, just as Spain liberated its historic homeland of Spain from the Islamist-Jihadist occupiers in the 15th century. Judea and Samaria are GOD-GIVEN to Israel since the time of our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob 4000 years ago. These are our land that was promised, given, and restored to the Jewish Nation by GOD Almighty as clearly stated in the Holy Bible. Our Prophets Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Amos have propeshied of GOD'S Covenant of restoring Israel in Diaspora back into their Ancient Land of Israel 2500 years ago. This prophecy was fulfilled in the 20th century when Jews from all over the world returned to their GOD-GIVEN and GOD-RESTORED historic ancient Land of Israel. While ancient civilizations and invaders had come and gone into the dustbin of history, we, Israel, have remained to this day because of GOD'S Providence to Israel. Dark forces, aggressors and usurpers have tried and are trying to take our land, but have failed and will fail because they are trying to defy GOD'S Providence on the Restoration of Modern Israel in her Ancient Land of Israel..."
14. #11 - Boehner and Cantor...
seadog1946 ,   LowerHarbor, NYC   (04.15.11)
Boehner is very emotional... emotionally disturbed, perhaps. Cantor should register himself as being an agent of a foreign government. Both are politicians and politicians = liars.
15. #14 Obummer is the foreign agent
Claudia ,   Tampa USA   (04.15.11)
Such insight you have. NOT. Your and your liberal anti-American, Anti-Israel,Anti-Freedom, Anti-Ally socialist need reminding that America is a republic, founded on principles that you can not understand & apparently despise. You and right in line with Obummer calling names and making improper accusations, just like his campaign speech on Wed. What a mean, spiteful politician he showed himself to be. Odd American Jews can not see the truth of their liberal party, that will lead them into the same devastation as WWII. Boehner and Cantor are at least extending respect to Bibi as the leader of our ally, Israel, a hell of a lot more than your hero can muster. Obama has proven himself unsuitable and incompetent to lead this great country, and undermines America & our allies each and every day. I can not wait for our next election, we will toss him out in disgrace.
16. Wish someone like Feiglin would go instead.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.15.11)
Israel must stop begging for security and peace and assert our rights. Judea and Samaria rightfully and legally belong to Israel. Yet all Bibi knows how to do is beg those who want to destroy us to sit down at the table with us. I wish someone like Moshe Feiglin was going to Washinton instead of Bibi. Feiglin would not beg for security. He'd assert our rights and present legal proof that Judea and Samria are ours. Since many international legal experts have proven Judea and Samaria are ours, it's criminally irresponsible for Israel's government to hide the proof.
17. Re could at least repeat Rabin's last speech
Ralph Haglund ,   Lund, Sweden   (04.15.11)
NO to a palestinian state. Israel must ALWAYS remain in the Jordan Valley. Israel has full control over area C. Pretty simple. That was the Labour of those days.
18. #9, agree, calamity is coming this September.
Michael ,   California, USA   (04.15.11)
Unless negotiations are resumed, Israel will be isolated, going from one international defeat to the next. Seculars will have a very hard time preparing for war while the useless Orthodox will be disrupting. For a while it will look like a civil war has already started. What can Bibi say to the Congress that has not yet been heard? That he is weak, isolated, struggling to survive? No, Bibi will drum up some propaganda then go for an additional schnorr among the tested sources. Where is the pride?
19. #15, what a mouth! Notice that Barak has thanked Obama.
Michael ,   California, USA   (04.15.11)
20. # 18
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.16.11)
Yes, yes, right on.......& we love you too Michael....NOT.
21. Indeed!
Alloptionsonthetable ,   DC   (04.17.11)
Another example of the republicants being anti human rights, anti justice, and anti peace. How they can square the billions given to Israel over the years with their desire to cut the budget is beyond me. What do we get for this expense except a "democratic partner" in the region that does not have a Constitution, or internationally recognized borders. Let's watch as Egypt and Tunisia become the new democracies in the region...for the price of a couple of Facebook pages. Congress may want to see you Bibi, but don't kid yourself in thinking that they represent the will of the American people.
22. shameful
Alloptionsonthetable ,   DC   (04.17.11)
What kind of remark is that? When was the last time someone came to speak on US soil and it resulted in an act of terror? You haven't a clue as to what you're talking about. It will be disrupted by protests and calls to end the AIPAC occupation of the US Congress!
