1. happy passover
bob Levy   (04.15.11)
I certainly hope the lull in our response will be shattered too.
2. Did you really think it would last longer than a week?
Mikey   (04.15.11)
After 10 years of living under constant rocket barrages? I was skeptical. The beast is hungry for blood, the beast knows no rest. It murders its friends and supporters, won't it murder your kids? Keep on petting it with silk gloves and appeasement, it feeds on it.
3. I'd much rather hear about how many a-holes we dispatched
leo ,   usa   (04.15.11)
to meet their maker.
4. hamas
sas ,   israel   (04.15.11)
did not take them too long..................
5. More proof that Hamas does not want peace.
Brian Cohen Judean P ,   Judean Peoples Front   (04.15.11)
What more proof do people need? Hamas is the enemy of peace. The Palestinians should be suspended from the UN until either Hamas obeys international law, or is defeated in another Palestinian civil war.
6. and the no fly zone................
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (04.15.11)
What a buch of clown u.n.

8. If I Were An IDF Officer In Charge Of
Brazen   (04.15.11)
protecting this area just ATTACKED I would POUND the area that fired the rocket WITHOUT IMPUNITY. Shabat Shalom
9. Barak' tactics a disaster
David M.   (04.15.11)
Barak has to go and needs to be replaced by someone who knows how to defend Israel and is not an appeaser and a self-centered jerk.
10. I believe you have found the equation:
Lombardi   (04.15.11)
20 dead terrorists = a week of silence. You better go for much more the next time.
11. oh too bad no one was killed.
Golan ,   Modiin   (04.15.11)
if someone was killed we could hear the psycho left and the UN and American, and Eurotrash would self righteously demand Israeli concessions and "something small" to "calm the situation" like giving Arabs the Golan or Jerusalem, or Tel Aviv.
12. Who also besides Hamas has Grads?
Stephen in New York   (04.15.11)
Maybe only Hamas has Grads. Or maybe Islamic Jihad and others also have such missiles and Hamas will never control the Al Queda and Salafist groups that have found a cozy home in Gaza under Hamas rule. In either case, eventually it will be necessary to resolve things with Hamas.
13. Nu, Bibi?
Chatich   (04.15.11)
"The message is simple: We will not stand for fire on buses or on our children. We will not abide a situation where Israeli citizens are sleeping in shelters – anywhere." The PM spoke these words yesterday. What will he do now, talk some more, bomb fields and empty buildings, or will he make the dogs of gaza pay? We're all waiting, Bibi.
14. To: Stephen at No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.15.11)
It doesn't really matter who has what or who does what; Israel has made it very plain that Hamas will be held responsible for all acts of terror emanating from Gaza. Hamas is not able to control all the individual terrorist groups operating in the Strip, but they will be made to pay the price.
15. Why is Gaza Still Standing?????
Mike Hoch Hertz ,   NY USA   (04.15.11)
Enough is enough!!! Baruch Hashem no one was killed. The fact that they shot Grads at Israeli Citizens should be enough to justify an overwhelming response. Israeli blood is not cheaper than palestinian....Make the Terrorists Pay!!!!
16. in answer to #13 ''nu bibi''
chaim.s ,   54th st. brooklyn   (04.15.11)
what do you want from poor Bibi? he is nothing but a little lap-dog poodle,to his master Hussein Obama, this little spineless coward, does not even go the bathroom without the approval of his master,Hussein Obama.and of course Hussein Obama will never let him hurt his brothers in Hammas. citizens of Israel;shame on you for putting up with all this abuse./
17. Arab riots
Omri ,   Israel   (04.15.11)
The Axis of evil is so eager to turn the Arab riots against Israel to spare themselves. I say, wait until stuff in Syria stop, wait another month until everything is calm again. Then kick the crap out of Gaza. We can't sit here doing nothing when they have advanced anti tank and anti ship weapons ready to kill hundreds of us on order from Iran.
18. Israel should at least take back the northern part
david ,   uk/rsa   (04.15.11)
19. YES THEIR READY FOR A...
Mark fromGeorgia ,   USA   (04.15.11)
Country, all ready, is that what the UN said this week? As we can see, they want peace with Israel too!
20. My IAF jersey arrived. Looks good.
Ypip ,   Canada   (04.15.11)
Thanks guys! Happy Passover.
21. Not so simple
joe ,   st louis usa   (04.15.11)
Deterrence: how do you achieve it? During IDF operations terror leaders stay safe in their bunkers, and don't really care if civilians are harmed. So even if most Israelis did support causing random destruction in Gaza (which they don't) doing so wouldn't deter the leaders anyway. To deter terror leaders, you have to hit them personally: thus leaving their replacements both scared and humiliated. That takes information, patience and precision. I wish it were as easy as firing a bunch of rockets in a westerly direction, making some dramatic gesture. A lot of people wish that it were that easy. But it is not.
22. Hussein Obama's first name... Barak. Just sayin
joe ,   st louis usa   (04.15.11)
Agree with the guy, disagree, whatever, but jeeze give his name a break. Fine, Hussein sounds Muslim, and Barak sounds Israeli. Obama is neither.
23. Only Israel
USA   (04.15.11)
Only Israel is a country living with this abnormality of rocket fire and terror. Only Israel is a country expected to surrender land for peace to it's enemies who dream only of another holocaust.
24. Hamas
astounded ,   tel aviv   (04.15.11)
Hamas is to be applauded for the great care they always take to ensure that no harm to either persons or property results from their rocket 'barrages'. Incredible how they have fired thousands of rockets over the years, yet killed nobody. Not that I'm downplaying the deaths of a few dozen Jewish chickens, of course:)
25. To: No. 24
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.15.11)
Killed no one? Check your facts.
26. #24 astounded, nice try...you are astounging
joe ,   st louis usa   (04.15.11)
First of all, I doubt you're Israeli or in Tel Aviv. If you were, you'd know that Israel spends BILLIONS on bomb shelters (even in Tel Aviv!) civilian trailing, siren systems and...oh yea - Irone Dome! Israeli civilians must run to shelters and live in a state of siege when those sirens go off. Hamas on the other hand builds bomb shelters only for its military commanders, and locates them in places like the basement of shifa hospital. Hamas is TRYING to kill civilians, they are just really bad at it. Though they're pretty good at killing their own civilians with misfires. Foolish foolish incompetent people. Oh - and aside from the chicken coops Hamas rockets destroyed several Israeli homes this month. No deaths: because the residents had run to shelters. And also there was that small incident involving the school bus and the anti-tank missile. Or did you miss that?
27. Testing 1,2,3
max ,   washington dc   (04.15.11)
Hamas is testing Israel resolve to defend its citizens against harrassment and deadly missiles from Gaza. Obviously Israel's tolerant response has not stopped the bombardments nor has its verbal warnings.
28. How many attacks by rockets or suicide
jason white ,   afula, israel   (04.15.11)
murderers happen on our Shabat or holidays? We should hit them back on fridays when they go to pray or on their holidays. They show no respect to other religions and they should get no respect in return. If they are firing from a residential neighborhood, then hit that neighborhood and the kill andwound their civilians. They try to kill our civilians, let us kill their civilians and the hell with world opinion!
29. Better Deterrent
shlomo ,   USA   (04.15.11)
If Israel would build similar rockets by the10s of thousands and the government look the other way when citizens launch them towards Gaza it would be a more effective and lest costly deterrent. Israel could tell the world that they cannot control every citizen in the country. The message to Hamas should read "for every rocket you send, we will send 1000 back"
30. to#14
Jennie ,   us/Israel   (04.16.11)
So what if Israel has made clear anything and everything to hamas, Sarah ? When did any of "palavra"be it an offfer, warining or ultimatum-ever mattered to them or changed an iota in their savage acts.. It looks as if killing 20 of them in one air raid was like a pat on their back... Even if chamas can't control other groups, they are still the head of the "snake"...Do Barak and Bibi want the people of Israel spend Passover in the bunkers? It is just about now, that chamas, etc.. should be made to pay the fair price for every kasam, every smallest violation of Israeli sovereign borders...Why can't Israeli children have a little brake from the safe room and from schooling taking place in bunkers ? Why do our children have to grow up damaged for the rest of their lives ?Will Jews in Israel be reading HAgada in a few days in bunkers or in their homes, being in "konenut" to run...? In the Hagada, they will read the story of Our People's plight to Freedom from slavery and their road to become Free people...Should we support a humiliating and degrading inability of Israeli government to give their people some break ? We have the might, the motive, the right and the duty to defend the lives of Israelis withing their sovereign borders...They shoot at us, because they can and because we play their game.. Shame on Bibi ! And Barak should be tried for treason !
