The biggest difference between Helen Thomas & Rabbi Dov Lior is that she was fired for her racist remarks. Equaklity under the law was a founding principle of Israel. Dov Lior obviously doesn't accept that principle. The majority of Israel's citizens do - and so do the overwhelming majority of Jews in the diaspora who support Israel.

Beduins came from Arabia. Some served in IDF for which they were given water, electricity, etc. which they never saw before. Many came to Israel via Sudan. They do want to go back to Arabia but Saudi family want them here. They are guests in our land, and we decide what to do with guests not Saudi family, not Sudan, not Jordan king. If you know it is not your land than leave. Simple and clear.

Bedouins are either descendants of ancient Arabian nomads or descendants of those brought from Africa as slaves. They don't have any rights on our jewish land. For your infos 40% of army officers are religious people . To ruth Rabbi Lior belongs to the land of Israel you should go back to school you would learn that jews were here since 4000 years.

And the other had the same excuse to get out of going with our gun crew. Three times his grandmother died!He got away with that excuse only twice. Better yet jail all those that are draft dodgers or send them back to where they came from,if they are immigrants. Even those females that get pregnant to avoid army service. Put them in jail. National service for the religious and conscientious objectors should not count as military service.Warming a seat in a yeshiva should not be allowed,instead of national service in the I.D.F.. When these draft dodger defend Israel like the Beduin in the I.D.F., then they should be allowed to stay.One Beduin clan from Zah Zir lost 54 members in the service.This "rabbi" should be ashamed of himself along with others at that conference. As for inviting arab politicians, no one who did not serve in the I.D.F. should be allowed to vote, enter politics or work in the government.They do not deserve full citizenship.
