31. Hamas/Abbas
Arnie in NYC ,   NY, USA   (04.27.11)
Like John (#19), I also wonder if this sudden agreement is not a firm indication that Hamas has decided that Bashar is definitely on the way out and therefore it's time to cozy up to Egypt.
32. End of the process
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (04.27.11)
The next rocket - the PA is to be held accountable for every terrorist act. Abbas is personally responsible for every war-crime.
33. Viva Palestine - Viva Unity
Palestinian   (04.27.11)
34. Hamas/Fatah pact = Iran/Egypt pact
Z-man ,   Pest   (04.27.11)
Hamas/Fatah pact = Iran/Egypt pact against Israel. The new gov't of Egypt is becoming an ally of Iran, and plots to destroy Israel.
35. The sweet smell of Palestinian expulsion is in the air !!
Joe   (04.27.11)
36. Yeah...great marriage. Will go far
EZ ,   US   (04.27.11)
One minute Hamas refuses to make a deal with "stooges of the Zionist regime" and refusing Abbas' entry to Gaza and now it's all smiles and lovey-dovey party time. Ummhmm: no one is suspicious...this is a great advancement for the falestinian people. Now they can pool their terrorist resources and adopt the Hamas constitution that refuses to recognize any Jewish right to live or exist in the ME. This is landmark!!! Indeed indicative of the true spirit of this wonderful (let's just put the savage murders aside) "Arab Spring"!!! Yay! This is marvelous. Break out the hookahs and candies, the death of the peace process is at hand! Great going Falestine! Your ingenuity leaves the world slack-jawed!!! This is better than a soap opera. Stay tuned for some more excitement from the most adventurous and exciting group of knuckle heads this side of the Med!! (tee-Hee: can u say "FAAAIIILLL"!!! ). Idiots just killed "Palestine".
37. So when he is leaning over and telling his buddy
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (04.27.11)
"Hey....I've got these great terrorist video's I want to share with you. WE can trade secrets and share thoughts on our trade...I mean terrorists activity."
38. Now if only
Gary ,   Los Angeles   (04.27.11)
Hamas drops the terrorism piece
39. Hamas going away soon, becoming part of PLO instead
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (04.27.11)
Hamas in name will soon be no more but a new sub group of PLO, there for no longer a listed terrorist group by US/EU. They will then use the PLO charter with some changes per their agreement with the PA. Short term this could be good for Israel but long term its very risky, yet Abbas is old and may retire soon anyway.
40. they only peace they count on, is the religion of peace.
ygalg ,   israel   (04.27.11)
why on earth they need to strive for peace with israel??? do you not follow the news? they are now confident they won't need to. instead focusing on imaginable scenarios, israel should begin to prepare for a realistic one.
41. PREDICTIONS.
John ,   UK   (04.27.11)
all the arabs including EGYPT will go against Israel. THEN THE ALMIGHTY WILL SHOW THE WORLD.
42. Unity Until October 1st...
Andrew ,   Seattle, USA   (04.27.11)
Or however long it takes for the shallow pantomime to stand to the EU/Quartet's wishful & willfully blind eye. Once they get recognition for a Palestinian state, they'll be killing each other like it was going out of style & blaming the IDF for every death.
43. PUTTING CART BEFORE HORSE
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (04.27.11)
Generally,a government is formed after the people have their say in a free, fair election;that's not what Hamas and Fatah have in mind. Both are now unelected, yet they act as if they have a right to divide up the spoils of government between themselves. They're giving themselves another year of unrepresentative government.Abbas and Haniyeh are the Palestinian Arabs' Mubarak,Assad,Gaddaffi and any other Arab tyrant you can think of and they don't want to give up their positions of power and grand living. My guess is that Hamas and Fatah are hoping that the Arab League will be able to use that year to put a stop to democracy demands. Abbas and Haniyeh have the arrogance to assume that it'll be Fatah and Hamas that will win any election. If the Palestinian Arabs have any interest in democracy, they have a year to contain the tyrants and form new democratic political parties to challenge Fatah and Hamas head-on in the election, defeat them and consign them to the bin where anti-democrats belong. We'll see if they go quietly. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
44. israel/hamas
sas ,   israel   (04.27.11)
isael MUST talk. blood shed brings us no place............ even if we have to give up territories. rather a small quiet country than what we have now.
45. Agreed not to disagree publicly
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.27.11)
That is all this is about, the Arabs are being blamed for the failure of the peace talks. Why? Because they don't even have a unified government. That makes complete sense. How can the Arabs make any deal without a unified government. So the Arabs needed to remedy that, so they came up with a phony unity agreement, both still keep the same land they control, for now, that is. They will release each others prisoner's to help the Pallywood show. This, in their mind, helps the Western Media, and the leftists, pretend there is a unity government. But nothing has been said about Israel? Will Hamas change any of its positions? Nobody knows? Bottom Line: Pallywood, to trick the Western Media into reporting a unity government. A Fabrication.
46. #33. Viva "Palestinian" poseurs elsewhere.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.27.11)
Viva "Palestinian" poseurs elsewhere. Israel's policy should be to compensate "Palestinians" to leave our land en mass. They are already leaving Judea and Samaria by the tens of thousands annually, without Israeli copensation. With compensation, we could solve the problem in a few years. For Israel, it's a one time investment with permanent returns.
47. few missiles just for celebrations

48. Oh, This is Good
Devorah   (04.27.11)
So now, they have a puppet terrorist government and no country to govern. "Shalom Sesame" needs to make characters out of these two clowns. Can you picture it?
49. #13 Salma
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.27.11)
"Thje proof is in the pudding", you'll never get a chance to taste it Both Hamas & Fatah will want to be the top dog, you can kiss their agreement bye bye
50. #44 sas, Israel
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.27.11)
Don't you get it yet ? What the Arabs have you destined for is a Kever of your own, where it will be nice and quiet Take a peek at both the Hamas Charter & PLO Covenant, both calling for the destruciton of Israel, which they still refuse to amend
51. # 33 Viva Palestine- Viva Unity ???????
Alex ,   USA   (04.27.11)
You are just about witnessing, the beginning of the same mistake of yours in 1948...Remember ?.. See what's going to happen. You're not going to like it.....!!!!
52. Israel should just call their bluff
CJ ,   Israel   (04.27.11)
No way these guys will live in peace no matter what we do so just annex all Judea and Samaria. If they don't like it send Abas and rest of Arabs to live in Gaza with pig nose Hayina
53. The Pals have other options...they tried that option already
Harry Wright ,   UK   (04.28.11)
and a lot of Pals ended up dead, callously and cruelly thrown off buildings and as well, crippled with their knees and legs blown off. Hamas is only playing with Abbas seeing as how Abbas is so longing to have his own personal state and yearning to rub shoulders with world governments, never mind he has to beg them for funds to keep things going. So what if they sign a document? They are accustomed to reneging. Today they sign, tomorrow they kill each other. Nothing new here. Now...will the UN give a state to a terrorist coalition????
54. 2 TERRORISTS GROUPS MERGING

56. Donkeys
Isaac ,   New Jersey, USA   (04.28.11)
Abbas is feebly giving in to the stronger man of the moment. in light of his reluctance to make any progressive peace steps, threatening to deactivate the Palestinian Police, release terrorists from jail, or any positive attempt initiative at all..he's screwing up things for normal Palestinians who'll now be living in an armed terror camp, policed by "their own". This follows the historical pattern of making the worst of choices. Good Luck!
