3. For the "Peace Camp"
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (04.28.11)
Can we still consider Fatah a real partner for peace? Or should we accept once and for all that they are just the same that Hamas, a stinky lot of Jew haters???
4. Well, there's clarity:
Informed Source   (04.28.11)
Tirawi - "No Palestinian group is a terror organization in our eyes." And herein, my learned fellow YNETters, is exactly why we are now sharpening bayonets. Hey Salma, how are your eyes today? Seeing clearly?
5. Oslo accords are dead. Israel can revoke PA recognition too.

10. True Colors
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (04.28.11)
Palestinians declare a preference for alignment with a know terrorist organization (Hamas), rather than seeking peace. That the PLO is the representative, and that the Palestinians think that a terrorist organization will meet with statehood success at the UN. This is nothing more than fantasy. Despite the lukewarm support Israel enjoys at the UN, Hamas will not be accepted as acceptable leadership. Further, as Iran cozies up to Hamas, this will further solidify the UN's resolve against statehood.
11. Actually, this is a good thing
R ,   Israel   (04.28.11)
Clarity: There is no partner for peace. Fatah prefers terrorists and never really did want peace. They missed every opportunity.
12. netanyahu must smell the coffee
fad egypt   (04.28.11)
he must come to his senses and understand that the hussein obama policy of appeasement is disasterious he must reverse his plans to announce a new (peace) plan and instead threatens the PA to annex the jordan valley and the large settlemets blocs and to reverse oslo if the later decided to go to the UN next september it is all because of hussein obama policy of betrayal of his allies israel or mubarek durig mubarek days there was difficult to reach agreement between fatah and hamas because egypt was trying to force hamas to renounce violence and respect the signed agreements and of course recognize israel but hamas enforced by syria and iran was refusing after mubarek is out the situation has changed egypt ignored that point and it started to move closer to iran syria and hamas axis so the agreement reached and that also due to abbas hostile policy towards israel which started because of obama pressure on israel to make concessions for nothing shame on hussein obama shalom
13. Netanyahu and Hamas deserve each other
Loudon ,   Sydney   (04.28.11)
Netanyahu's pro-settler stance has turned the world against Israel and let Arab terrorism off the hook. Where is the intelligent Israeli middle?
14. what this means
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.28.11)
All this means is that Obama will soon invite Hamas to the White House.
15. Thank you Mr. Abbas
Arn ,   Yehud   (04.28.11)
Abbas has just opened wide the door to Hamas to take over the West Bank. I honestly don't understand this man. He was riding sky high on the West Bank's PR with so many countries including the US - and now he demonstrates to all what Israel can expect if she permits a 2 state solution - especially along the '67 boarders. Talk about bad timing!!! And talk about a gift to Israel delivered on a silver platter. All Israel has to do now is sit back and say to the world "Hey... I told you so."
16. #12 Fad, what you say makes sense
Yossef   (04.28.11)
17. We prefer Israel over Peace with terrorists!
(04.28.11)
18. "partners for peace" - now it's clear Israel has none!
(04.28.11)
and it never had! It was all a ruse to force Israel to give up its lands against nothing. The "palestinians"have miscalculated again: the UN will NOT ratify a "palestinian" state with ANY borders without a peace agreement. Now the "palestinians" have also exposed their plan: no peace, only anihilation. Next time somebody in Israel - ANYBODY - should keep this in mind before trying to sell the suicidal idea of a "peace with the palestinians". Middle East is going towards war, and Israel is lucky that it did not fall for the lies and disinformation and did not give any lands for "peace" with a murderous tyrant from Syria, and an arch-terrorist and Holocaust denier from the West Bank. Imagine what would have happened if we have been giving anything from the Golan Heights to Assad, who will be sooner or later deposed by a violent mob calling for him to open war on Israel. Imagine we have given up anything from the West Bank to Abbas, only to get Hamas through the back door. Now all is clear - Israel has to crush decisively and definitlvely its enemies in the next war. It has nothing to lose. The UN is irrelevant, just as the Quartet and the Soviet-Chinese barking chorus.
19. Obama is backstabbing his allies and friends!
(04.28.11)
Work with the Senate and Congress to block his anti-Israeli moves. Ignore Obama and Hillary - they will soon be irrelevant. Meanwhile be ready for the next war - maybe as soon as September!
20. THE ZEBRA
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.28.11)
As these guys admit, they don't see any of the terrorist groups, as terrorists. So basically the entire world is wrong they're right. That is the new position (really not new). But we all know weakness emboldens evil. So Fatah days are now numbered. Hamas only make temporary deals "Hudna" just a pause for peace ( actually a better way to say it, would be a lack of hostilities), until they feel strong enough to win the war. Whether it's with Israel or Fatah. But a Zebra can't change it's stripes, and Hamas is a terrorist group, a rose by any other name. Those who think differently only deceive themselves. The Arabs want a state they believe by projecting this fabricated "unity" government, it will trick the UN. But there always is the Veto power of the USA. To counter the 57 to 1 power, the Muslim nations have at the UN.
21. what this means...
EZ   (04.28.11)
is that Obama can no longer push Israel into making concessions. No one in the US - not even the most liberal democrat - would suggest that Israel should negotiate with Hamas (over what - the terms of it's dismantling??) If Obama loses in 2012 and Hamas wins, then the idea of a Pal state can be taken off the respirator.
22. SHAM-WOW!!!
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (04.28.11)
In a completely, totally un-expected series of events, the representatives of the PA(Fatah) and HAMAS spoke out of several sides of their mouths, offering diverse and contradicting statements and declared their full desire for a lasting peace in the region, albeit sans israel. Now who could have seen that in the pipeline, I ask you? In other news, the US, UK, EU, UN, and a bunch of other wankers who are symbolized in misc letters, have condemned Israel and JOOOS in general for mucking up their plans for a Judenrein muddled east.
23. It's all for the better. Para Bellum, Israel!
HaifaGuy   (04.28.11)
We've come to the point where the old saying "A bad peace is better than a good war" is no longer valid. The "Beace" has become so unbearably stinky it's begging for another short'n'juicy ME war. The stench and the rot have hit the high heaven. We're holding a nation-wide military exercise in June after which we'll be more or less ready to take on our neighbors should they choose to fall on the Israeli sword again. Ahalan wasahalan, come and get it. No more BEACE, just another vicious and swift Israeli victory. Because WE CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE! So bring it on. I'm getting my bomb shelter ready in the meantime.
24. Israel wants palestinian surrender, not peace
Casual Tourist ,   London, UK   (04.28.11)
Israel wants to dictate terms of settlement with the pals, to the smallest detail. Palestinians would be stupid to accept a deal from a position of weakness. Hamas believes that time is on their side, so they prefer to play a waiting game. Recent events in the middle east prove they are correct. The pals should wait and see how events develop. Settlements can always be dismantled, even decades after they are built. Wait persevere and be patient...
25. This talkback publishes only views that are pro-Israel

Dissenting opinions are suppressed. No credibility.

28. Abbas handed Bibi a life jacket
Dinah ,   US   (04.28.11)
I really don't understand this move. Even the French aren't going to vote for a Hamas state in the Security Counsel much less the US.
