3. September ?...... Wake up !
Kenny Solomon ,   South Florida USA   (04.28.11)
Israel, y'all better have somethin' in place by May 15th, because this new 'unity government' is brought to you in living color by The Muslim Brotherhood and even though they have patience, the instant they can do something, they're gonna.
4. Israel needs Sound Devices
William Sachel ,   USA   (04.28.11)
Israel needs Sound Devices the type that is used for crowd control could be used against any flotillas and also very effective against large scale riots. Also use skunk juice that will stink on the crowds that will stop any rights.
5. Planning ahead
Ehud ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.28.11)
Three cheers for our plodding plods.
6. 150 nations to recognize Pa. State
lil' ole' me.   (04.28.11)
Leave them to it. These same Caribbean countries are going to lose billions on tourism. here's one who will NEVER visit another Caribbean country. I might also add that the same applies to all other countries who join in. I live in a beautiful country already that there is not one chance that they will ever join in the parade of Nut-Cases!
7. Israel's fault. Arabs respect strength and courage
Ari   (04.28.11)
Israel's weakness and appeasement is the ground for such an uprising.
8. Simple solution for riots
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.28.11)
Immediately revoke Israeli citizenship and bituach leumi payments to any one (Arab or Jew) who riots in support of the PLO state. Transfer cities and towns that support the PLO state to PLO jurisdiction.

still pretending to be Arab. funny.
12. It is essential
moriah ,   sacramento usa   (04.28.11)
for Israel to arm the citizens - all Jewish citizens so they can protect themselves and defend their families. This Leftwing insanity of taking guns and keeping guns from the citizenry must be abandoned or there will be a great slaughter when the rampaging hordes are emboldened by a declaration of statehood.
13. BUT THE TRUTH IS...
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.28.11)
While certainly you can never stop people, from saying what they want, or declaring what they want. The fact is this, the Unilateral declaration of an Palestinian state is NOT a popularity contest. It's matter of International Law, and by all accounts, it is a violation of International law. Which appears clear and concise, and in fact has numerous precedents. So the Abbas and the Arabs can declare whatever they want, and countries can express their "opinion" of whether they approve or not. But as a matter of International Law, it is illegal. So the declaration becomes irrelevant as matter Law. While it will cause endless debate, and social upheaval, and probably people will die, in protests and riots. That won't change the fact, it is Illegal and simply has NO basis in International Law..
14. Salma - tell me why I should celebrate
Emma ,   London   (04.28.11)
the establishment of a state whose leaders glorify terror and whose raison d'etre is the destruction of my people? People who want everything but refuse to compromise on anything?

17. To: No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.28.11)
For us as well. Now you can all descend into the inevitable squabbling and infighting over who will govern your imaginary country, and how you will raise revenue in your imaginary country, and how you will provide necessary services in your imaginary country, and how you will build roads in your imaginary country, and how you will build hospitals and medical clinics in your imaginary country ..... Wow; just like the time you declared "independence" in 1988, except way more pathetic the second time around. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Except in the case of the ersatz "Palestinians," the more things change, the more you race backwards. You will miss Israel dreadfully -- especially all the services we have provided, and no one will pick up the slack -- but, as with all things concerning the ersatz "Palestinians," you are fated to learn that the hard way. Good-bye, and good riddance. Have fun governing your imaginary country from Amman or Gaza City.
18. Let the 150 countries
Michael ,   California, USA   (04.28.11)
mobilize and force PA and Israel make peace. Tie blindfolding strips over the eyes of leaders of the two and have them collide forehead to forehead. Then they will embrace, kiss, and a sulha will be celebrated. It's not too late.
19. To: lil' ole' me at No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.28.11)
This is declaration of ersatz "Palestinian" statehood, round 2. Round 1 (1988) did not work out all that well ... this time around, however, Israel just may well take them at their word, and kick their collective asses to Gaza. Ringside seat as the fun begins. Please pass the popcorn ...
20. 1 Glann, Ycaipa, USA: Excellent post! So true!
Rivkah   (04.28.11)
21. #9 - He'll probably just get lynched...
William ,   Israel   (04.28.11)
that's always how your "celebrations" end up anyway.
22. #13 - there's been plenty of Intl Law violations...
William ,   Israel   (04.28.11)
by the Arabs, but it seems the world chooses which violations to ignore and which to hammer on. I suspect that this additional violation of Statehood declaration will be ignored and even supported by global hypocrites, while violating Israel's sovereign rights.
23. A PA state opens the door for ICJ and ICC courts to judge
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (04.28.11)
many critical issues that are gray under Int. Laws. The Muslim Brotherhood is pushing Hamas to reunite and keep low profile until after elections next year, then use the UN courts on issues like IDF withdrawal under 1978 Camp David Accords.
24. To: No. 23
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.28.11)
Will you stop with your nonsense already? Declaring "statehood" doesn't make you a state! The ICJ and ICJ are treaty-governed, and membership in either is contingent upon an invitation to a state to ratify the governing treaty. Besides, since you wouldn't know a single thing about international law and convention if you tripped over it, please refrain from dispensing your curbside "wisdom." Your contributions (for lack of a better term) have no basis in law, equity, convention or practice. In case you are too obtuse to understand the foregoing, what I am basically saying is that you are completely ignorant and should shut up.
25. Re: My post at No. 24
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.28.11)
Second line, start of the new sentence, should read "The ICJ and ICC ..." Apologies to all.
26. Peace in our time......
Unionmade ,   Kalkaska & usa   (04.28.11)

27. to #9
Marianne ,   US   (04.28.11)
Those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed.. God gave them this land.. it belongs to the Jews..
28. To #2
Marianne ,   US   (04.28.11)
Nick, we know God is in control.. we that love Israel in the US, will continue to pray.. let us not forget that Israel has a strong Military, one of the best in the world.. and they - God bless them, protect their people..
29. #13 Mark - Please Tell Us What International Law
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (04.28.11)
says that a nation can not declare statehood? Does that law also make Israel's declaration of statehood illegal? And why do you call it unilateral? Over 100 countries have agreed and soon the UN will also agree. That is far from unilateral.
30. To: #7
Marianne ,   US   (04.28.11)
Stop fooling yourself.. Israel is by no means weak, as you stated.. they just have more common sense then Arabs..and don't go around butchering people for no reason.. I was in Israel. and you Arabs are fortunate that Israel helps you.. no other country wants you.
