4. why did the british government want the syrian ambassador ?
zionist forever   (04.28.11)
First they invite the Libyan ambassador and then revoke his invitation over the violence in Libya. Now they are revoking the invitation of the Syrian ambassador because of whats going on in Syria. Neither Syria or Libya are major trading partners with the UK. Neither Assad or Gaddafi are either royalty or elected leaders. They are both on the countries list of terrorist supporting states and even before now neither country had a good human rights record. They would be expected to invite the heads of state of allies or major trading partners but why ambassadors? They are not heads of state in their own right they are just employees so why do they get invites especially ambassadors to countries the UK does not consider an important ally. The royal couple also said they wanted to keep the wedding to be small so why all these ambassadors?

ex-GBer   (04.28.11)
Why not a helluva lot more than ambassadors? Britain has to pay for that so-called "royal" wedding. And don't listen to Buckinham Palace tell you the wedding is being paid for by the "royal private purse". What royal purse? I don't recall Philip Mountbatten (the Greek) doing anything for Britain other than standing a step BEHIND the Queen. That whole bunch of leeches leave me feeling positively ill.

Rivkah   (04.28.11)
William without a mother to pray for him to have a godly wife in a marriage that lasts, I decided to pray that for him. I put a photo of a young Queen Catherine Parr, the last wife of King Henry VIII in a place where I would see it often and ask God to find a godly wife like Catherine Parr for Prince William in a marriage that lasts. I considered Catherine Parr to be a good role model since she was well studied in Scriptures and made sure Princess Mary, Princess Elizabeth and Prince Edward studied the Bible. She protected them from predators and even got the two Princesses back into the succession in the Tudor House, no small feat. Then Prince William met Catherine (Kate) Elizabeth Middleton and eventually they became engaged and are about to marry. YHWH showed me that is fruit of my hopes for Prince William and my prayers for him to have a wife like Catherine Parr in a marriage that lasts. Praise to YHWH in the highest.

1. Catherine Parr was married a total of four times. Henry VIII was her third husband. (So much for the godly wife.) 2. You are correct in that she was very influential in the passage of the Act of Succession which restored Princess Mary and Princess Elizabeth to eligibility in the royal line. Not too much to be proud about, however, at least with respect to Princess Mary. A devout Roman Catholic, she grew up to become "Bloody Mary," responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Protestants. 3. Don't you have better things to pray for than the British monarchy? I doubt very many members of the royal family go to bed hungry at night; there is no shortage of people throughout the world who do precisely that. This royal wedding is thought to be costing several hundred million pounds, which could be spent far more wisely. That's what you should be praying for, dear.

Speak for yourself. The conspicuous displays of the outrageous wealth of the royal family do not interest normal people in the least.

This is weird the kingdom the U.K. invites all the puppet kingdoms in the Arab world that they set up, all these corrupt leaders, only to be rebuffed due to domestic problems. The wedding list for these descendants of colonizers and world blood shedders I know is enormous. Let me see India oh their not Arab but they'll show, the U.S. Obama a no show, after Michelle touched the Queen, and Barak just found and published his birth certificate. Israel they should be there with bells on but without these Arab leaders these two betrothed and the kingdom, what a blow to the self their esteem.

Rivkah   (04.29.11)
1. Catherine Parr was widowed three times and died in childbirth, married to a fourth husband. Widows are allowed to remarry and that is considered godly by YHWH, but you do not know Scriptures or you would know that. 2. Being a loving step-mother, Catherine Parr included both step-daughters in her efforts in restoration of their succession. She is not responsible for the actions of others. What Queen Mary destroyed, Queen Elizabeth-I rebuilt and even managed to defeat the Spanish Armada with YHWH's help, since he caused a storm that helped greatly. Sounds like a godly Queen to me, for YHWH to protect Britain from invasion for her sake. A godly ruler (QE-I was a Virgin Queen) can protect a nation as ancient Israel learned under many godly rulers while an ungodly ruler can cause God's protection to be taken away. 3. A child who has lot his mother is no different if he is in line to a throne or is not. It is catastrophic. Is there anything better to do than to pray to YHWH? The royal wedding will cost 81 million pounds, far less than President Obama's 120 million dollar inauguration. President Bush's inauguration cost $40 million. Most young women in the world will not have a wedding that costs more than going to a town clerk's office with kool-aid punch and cookies and a cake at a church or home reception hall, if even that. It makes people happy to see a lovely wedding like the British have for their Royals. The British public is not paying for the wedding or the security. The Monarchy is from their private funds.

to annonce her engagement sell out within 24 hours at stores if there is no public interest in the displays of wealth by the Royal family? It is good for business to have Royals in Britain, particularly in America where artists for dress designers will immediately imitate Catherine Middletons wedding dress which will be popular among brides, thankfully. The strapless dresses are about to be less popular since at Westminster Abbey, a bride must wear a wedding dress with her shoulders covered.

Accelerator that has cost nearly a trillion dollars. That could feed a continent. Royal weddings are peanuts in comparison to the waste of money on that Cern Particle Accelerator and $400. a gallon gasoline for troops in Afganistan, a costly and questionable war in terms of American security needs.

Dont feel sorry for Kate & her family, she knows exactly what "she is getting into." She may not have "royal blood" running through her veins, but she is well aware of her responsibilities & has been versed in the protocols ofthe Bitish monarchy & public life. She will make a fine, loving, loyal wife to William, a respectful daughter-in-law to Queen Elizabeth II & her family. Your post proves you know zero about the huge changes in the British monarchy since the death of Princess Diana. (late mother of William & Harry)
