Because the fact is the UN will be of no help. If a government cannot abide by International Law it should never be accepted. The fact is, that is one of the International requirements. So when Israel asks the UN: and I quote. "including recognizing Israel, relinquishing terrorism, and honoring previous agreements with the state. " Those are all past agreements that MUST be honored. Otherwise you can make the case the government is illegal. Which of course is one of the reasons why the Pals cannot legally make a unilateral Declaration for statehood. Sadly, the UN is the wrong place to expect any fairness. If there is any way they can hurt Israel they always will. The flotilla incident is a classic example. Everybody that saw the video's knew the terrorists started it. But the UN set up a rigged commission, as usual. Even the BBC blamed the terrorists on that one. Now that's saying something!

I believe a recent certain "school bus" incidence comes to mind here. When is the last time Israel targeted a school bus? As to innocent children being killed, how many German and Japanese children were killed during world war 2? How many British and Chinese children? What do you think war is sir? Israel does not target children, the United States and Great Britain does not target children but children have been killed by all of us. It's a sad fact of life.
