Branko Lustig has some amazing stories, and the one of how he survived this camp is awesome. He was being beaten by a Nazi soldier for making a mistake, and Branko started crying for his mother in Croatian. A soldier (who happened to be Croatian) understood him and asked him where he was from. When Branko told him he was from Osijek (Croatia) the soldier (who also was from Osijek) asked him who his father was. Coincidentally, the soldier knew Branko Lustig's father and kept him close throughout his time in the concentration camp, keeping Branko alive. Look it up on youtube. It's called "Branko Lustig: Plakao sam Hrvatski" which means "crying in Croatian". Unfortunately, the interview is only in Croatian.
