1. Restoration? Of what,...?
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (05.04.11)
Holy Guacamole! Mitzna is going to restore glory. To Labor. Tp Labor? OMG. That means on behalf of the party, he is going to totally renounce the moral and economic glabal socialism and become a right wing Zionist. And,...he is gling to punch Yariv "Pudge" Oppenheimer in the pisk. He may be on to sosmething. I would pasy good kesef to see that.
2. Israel recycling again
Avi ,   Israel   (05.04.11)
What a shame no young talent coming through the ranks. With the current electorial system in Israel its hardly surprising. In most democratic countries members of parliament represent areas and not just the political party they are assoiciated with. Somehow i think the Israeli public deserves better
3. Left Labor headed by Barak, IS the running party today.
Chaim   (05.04.11)
The Likud party that actually won and is headed by Netanyahu is just Barak's puppet. So what are you worried about Amram Mitzna? Are you blind to see that Labor is running full force?
4. Mitzna
Dr Leon ,   Tzfat, Israel   (05.04.11)
Perfect example of why we are the worlds leader in garbage recycling!
5. Israel is this the best you can do?
Rachel ,   US   (05.04.11)
Why do you retrieve the leaders you flushed before?
6. 'mandates in double digits'
Amihai ,   Yesha   (05.04.11)
0 is a digit. 00 is a double digits. That's the way !
7. Labor dont understand the problem is policy not leadership
zionist forever   (05.04.11)
Labor are loosing because they don't have anything new to offer not because of their leader. Labor is a left wing party stuck in the past where socialism is economic solution and the only other thing that matters in the entire country is the peace process. They need to learn there is more to life than the peace process. What Kadima have going for them is the fact its governed by opportunists who only care about their jobs and so there is no die hard ideology which means they are less restricted in what their policies can adopt. Unless they can find a new leader who the people found inspiring like Sharon was and Likud go for Bibi again or a clone who is no better then Likud probably will loose the next eletion. If that happens and its a Kadima / Labor coalition it won't be because of Mitzna's magic it will be because Likud had nothing to offer. We should consider having a maximum number of years a politician can serve for so we don't get the same recycled people for decades and it will give the next generation a chance.
8.  I'll restore glory to Labor
suter ,   israel   (05.04.11)

zionist forever   (05.04.11)
When the competition is Peretz, a man who doesn't even know your supposed to take the lens caps of binoculars before you look in them then how can Mitzna loose?
10. Mitzna is a good egg, might be the best choice
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (05.04.11)
It's nice that you don't see the term "peace camp" in this article. I hope he didn't use it in the interview. Can Mitzna save Labor from itself? Only time will tell, but if Herzog wins you can kiss Labor goodbye. Probably ditto for Peretz. The Israeli electorate wants a strong social democratic party to vote for. Sadly, Labor ain't it. In fact, nobody is it, which is why the right is so strong these days. If Labor goes back to its roots and makes the country its priority and NOT the "peace process", then it will be good for Israel. In the next election we want to see a social democratic platform based on employment, education, defense, environment, industry, trade, health, welfare, and peace too. But while peace is the #1 goal of everybody in this country, it ain't the one and only issue. Give us a socio-economic agenda, Mitzna, and we'll listen to you. But if you keeping talking about Labor heading the "peace camp", then kiss Labor goodbye.
11. yeaterday's glory has been dumped.
jo   (05.04.11)
May it rest in peace. That's the problem with these worthless politicians who want to run. As allways, their goal is to restore the remnants of a forgotten party. The people?, the country?, let them fend for themselves. Influence, power, are keys to success..... and riches ! Amram Mitzna, why don't volunter in street claning. A least results can be seen immediately.
12. Retread
michael Pielet ,   boca raton, Israel   (05.04.11)
Please save us from this leftist retread. This guy belongs in a convalescent home for old tired politicians.
13. Double digits?
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (05.04.11)
