1. Contaminated fuel
Ger ,   Raanana, Israel`   (05.08.11)
Why has the German lab refused to test the contaminated fuel? Is it a question of priorities, or is it some kind of boycott?
2. Must have been Iranian oil bought on the cheap by dealers
Cynic #2   (05.08.11)
and the Iranians are hitting back with a slimy virus of their own.
3. Someone is hiding the technology?
Josh   (05.08.11)
Is this unidetified substance with all this cloak and dager drama more than we are suppose to have found out? They will likely find someone relieved themselce in the tanks? Hit the substance with microwabes and see if it changes into something that could crash a plane? Looks like a spy terrorism stunt.? A trojam horse? Just specualting.on the who done it drama.
4. Why the German lab won't test
vernonmarriott ,   Tel Aviv   (05.08.11)
It's simple, it's a weekend. Most analytical labs in the oil fuel business are shut on Saturdays and Sundays as there's often no requirement for them to be open (also they don't work in shifts - there's no need to). It's not a refusal - just work patterns. Clearly, if Israel had better education and a better standard of petrochemical engineering, it could have been done over here. Incidentally, why have there been no questions of the refinery in Israel (the only oil refinery in Israel)?
5. Could be microorganisms
Susya Bar Dror ,   IL   (05.08.11)
this happens with hydrocarbon fuels. They plug filters and pumps.
6. This is a huge wake up call
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (05.08.11)
....ensure that Israel's fuel is screened, clean and properly protected for when its needed
7. What on earth has become of
machtheknife   (05.08.11)
Israel? It wasn't that long ago when they were the top country in the world. Everything... and I mean EVERYTHING about Israel, their government etc. etc. etc. were the worlds tops. Today, they are no better than any of the arab corrupt governments. HIS Word clearly states "I will neither forget nor forsake thee Israel".... and here we go all because the Jews are NOT paying attention to His Word and Promises. Well, I dunno! Wo
8. I'm surprised nobody has blamed the Jews yet.

9. Where was rhe jet fuel refined?
seadog1946 ,   ArthurKill, NY   (05.08.11)
10. according to other sources...
seadog1946 ,   ArthurKill, NJ   (05.08.11)
the testing lab in Germany is a USAF facility and they refused to deal with civilian requests. Perhaps the Israeli air force should have sent the sample... is their jet fuel from another source?
11. why? #1
Ramon   (05.08.11)
#1 before you start spouting your typical anti-semitism- tirade ask yourself why Israel is not able to do this test?
12. dont buy fuel from egypt.
Countess Mara   (05.08.11)
13. Sounds like some form of terrorism to me.
Talula ,   Israel   (05.08.11)

Rachel ,   US   (05.08.11)
You're right. It seems a destructive complacency has taken over. Instead of fixing something when it's broke, action is only taken when it's a full blown crisis.
15. 5-that was my immediate thought...water
Ypip ,   Canada   (05.08.11)
16. I love this...
Marco ,   Spain   (05.08.11)
What do you expect when you are too cheap to pay normal international rates. When you try to be too smart, this is what you get....
17. Dum, dum, dum....
(05.08.11)
Next time buy from Hezbollah...
18. #13 Its all terror is'nt it
Ian ,   israel   (05.08.11)
Don't you think its time to stop blaming everything on terror and let the real culprits take responsibility for a change. For all its hi-tec capabilities this country has serious management problems and its not the terror thats doing the damage to the country. Take for example road deaths highest in the western world. The fuel malfunction is a symptom of what goes on here and there is nobody that really cares. When there is a major disaster maybe someone will wake up and say "where the hell were we" and then it will be too late.
19. If it was due to a human error, then we
jason white ,   afula, israel   (05.08.11)
need to make sure whoever is responsible sits in prison for life. What about the aviation fuel for the air force? Will we wind up grounding the whole I.A.F. ? Are they going to replace the strategic reserve now or wait till those morons in the min of fin approve buying more aviation fuel?
20. to #16 What the hell are you writing
jason white ,   afula, israel   (05.08.11)
about? We pay the same rates for oil as do other countries. There is no discount for us. As for cheap? You use typical anti Semitic stereotype. We refine our fuel here in Haifa or Ashdod. The Paz group owns the refinery in Ashdod.
