Having Syria as the UN's Human Rights Council would have been the ultimate label of this institution's corruptness, hypocrisy and illegitimacy, and that would have greatly boosted Israel's hasbara. Not that Kuwait, which abuses its foreign workers like slaves, is much better.

So the UN is ok with Syria being on the human rights council if only it had fit into their schedule? And doesn't kuwait have slaves? The UN has no moral fibers left to cover their crimes.

Gaddafi, Assad, Kuwait which doesn't exactly have a squeaky clean record on human rights.
All of them were, hoped to be or will be sitting on the UN Human RightsCouncil.
The UN picks countries like these to sit on their on a body thats supposed to deal with human rights.
Israel though has more General Assembly resolutions passed against it than any other country in the world.
Even the most brutal regimes have fewer resolutions passed against them than Israel.
Time for the US to cut cut that $!4 trillion debt by a couple of billion every year and stop funding the UN.
No American funding this pathetic organisation will fade into the history books just like the League of Nations did before it.

What a disgrace, what a sham, having to have Syria as a candidate in 2013. Those cretins in the UN have no idea what to do next. --- maybe reinstate kaddafi or putting on the list Ben Ali, or Saleh, or Mubarak. It only shows how low the US has tumbled. A paper tiger that no one listen to, a pauper broke until the year 2020 at least, but still giving advice to everybogy.
