1. How I wish Bibi would remove this Zero from the DM
Rachel ,   US   (05.12.11)
And replace him with Yaalon.
2. Ehud Barak invents the lead balloon.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (05.12.11)
He thinks if he fills it with enough hot air, it will lift off the ground. This should be as successful as Barak's other brilliant ideas, I'd give an example of these brilliant ideas but I can't think of any. Barak is a legend in his own mind, a total failure, a buffoon, a clown, in everyone elses opinion. If you had to pick the most unpopular politician in Israel, Barak would win hands down. .
3. With barak, they will quickly gather crazies and loosers.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.12.11)
4. The Sound of Crickets
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (05.12.11)
If a "new" political party is formed and it has the same old, tired, and worn out alleged "ideas", put forth by the same old, tired and worn out polititurds; with nothing new or imaginative or particularly clever or spicy, and it crashes in the forrest, while one hand is clapping,...? Oh well. You get the idea. A more thoughtful and appropriate name would have been Kadina 2, Or Kadima Lite. Les filling and with Huddy at the helm, much less taste.
5. Barak's New Party
Edward ,   Savannah, USA   (05.12.11)
How about "independence" from Barak!!!??? Now, that would be a "party"!!!
6. "Appeasement Party" would be more accurate name..
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.12.11)
There is nothing about Barak's political career which fosters Israel's independence. In fact, Barak constantly counsels Israel to submit to the will of our enemies and false friends. Barak constantly counsels Israel to cede much of our sole tiny Homeland and beg our terrorist enemies to sign worthless pieces of paper. The "Appeasement Party" wold be a more accurate name for Barak's new political entity.
7. Not my vote thats for sure. His obnoxious
Dyslexic...... ,   Israel........   (05.12.11)
and a snob. His real name is Brutus ask his friends.
8. What a Joker, Clown, Pagliacci, Pajazzo shortly: a Jerk !

10. ATSMAOOT??? ONE OF THE UGLIEST MODERN HEBREW WORDS...
stude ham   (05.12.11)
but barak is the albatross around this party's neck... aren't there enough splinter parties around already in israel?
11. "New" parties - old people
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.12.11)
Barak's recent move reminds me about the surge of post-Communist "new" political parties in the former East bloc of Europe. Ex-Communists or de facto Communists proclaimed "new" political parties - new names and new labels - but the same faces were seen in the offices of power and influence. A bad odour will not go away because you label it "Hugo Boss". Barak is no different.
12. #2 Terry. Israel should realize Kadima is no better.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.12.11)
#2 Terry. Everything you wrote about Barak and his so called Independence Party is completely accurate. However, Israel should realize that Livni and Kadima are no better. Their policies are identical to and equally as foolish as Barak's. Kadima does not deserve even a tenth of the support it appears to have now.
13. An other case of divisive politics for personal ambitions?
Joe ,   Canada   (05.12.11)
14. I'll never get my vote
Yossef   (05.12.11)
15. It amazes me how
Sagi   (05.13.11)
Israelis, en bloc, whine and moan about their politicians being failures and opportunists and self serving buffoons and yet each time go to the polls and vote them in, each one either in his or hers same old rut or in his or hers reincarnation, instead of ignoring them and not going to the polls or better than that demanding a change. As long as the public continue this way no change will come about and Barak will win the day again and we shall whine another four years.
16. #15: Well said, Sagi! Apathy rules in Israel!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (05.13.11)
Its also amazing how many from the USA tell us how to run our country when their own country is in financial chaos, fighting a number of wars that are basically a stalemate, coting the US Taxpayer a fortune that they don't have, and has a huge number of its citizens living in cardboard boxes on the streets! Yes, the Labor Party is so dead that it is in final stages of decomposition and now our "Little Napoleon" Barak has given birth to a stillborn no future nonentity! Such is democracy!
