mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (05.13.11)
a fascist apartheid palestinian state?? if you thought the "occupation" was brutal, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
2. Amnesty International can
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (05.13.11)
Amnesty International has bent over backwards to show the world that Israel's defending itself against Arab terrorism is racist and tyranical. It does not seem to bother Amnesty International that these very country or civilian populations would butcher us in a frenzy of anti Jewish hatred if they had the chance as seen by the anti Jewish riots in Hebron and other places before the state of Israel was declared. Amnesty International seems not to recall the fate of two army reservist that mistakenly ended up in Ramallah and how they were savagely and brutally killed to the joy of the Arab mobs. Amnesty International, we don't respect your opinion any more than Goldstones. As a matter of fact, it is my belief that you do not do much good in this world.
3. No more medical treatment for Palestinians!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (05.13.11)
Palestinians have been treated in Israeli hospitals! Dying Palestinian children have been saved by treatment in our hospitals. Even people from Hamastan (Gaza) have been treated in Israeli hospitals! Amnesty International should read the law on blockades. The UN has ruled that the blockade is legal and that any attempt to break the blockade is a breach of International Law! The fact is that Amnesty International is only concerned with condemning Israel and doesn't "see" the the abominable human rights violations in Arab Oil states, Russia, China, Myanmar, Iran, Syria and many counties in Africa. Now that Fatah and Hamas are one and Abu Mzsen is the President of the Palestinian Authority, he is a war criminal because his "country" is holding Gilad Shalit as a hostage in defiance of the Geneva Convention and the Israeli Government MUST demand that the International Criminal Court issues an Arrest Warrant against him, Haniya, Maashal and the rest of the gang of thugs! Time to give the Palestinians their state where they stand and cut the totally out of our lives! Once they have a state, if they attack us Israel will be fully justified to retaliate and even a biased Organization the Amnesty International with just have to shut up!

birdi ,   israel   (05.13.11)
well said, Larry. kudos.
5. Hey Ben, can you tell me...
Ben ,   Jerusalem   (05.13.11)
...who it was who kidnapped two young British soldiers, hanged them from a tree and booby-trapped their bodies? Ah yes, the brave "freedom fighters" of the Irgun. Never been a Jewish terrorist, of course.
6. Amnesty International included Israel in their criticism to
Chaim   (05.13.11)
save their skin. Imagine if they wouldn't have... These self-proclaimed "Human Rights" self-hating liberal Jewish anti-Semites are pro terrorist organizations like their associates PeaceNow, Betzelem, J-Street and the U.N.
7. #3 why not read Amnesty itself
mat ,   usa   (05.13.11)
Amnesty International reports on abuses in China, and all the other countries you mention. Stories written by Ynet reporters are invariably slanted to make it look as if Israel is being singled out. Ynet writes its stories like that because that is what Israelis want to believe. They love feeling hard done by.
8. So what was wrong with me saying, that Israeli torture works
tom ,   tel aviv   (05.13.11)
in the opposite direction: the Jewish collaborators are torturing the general public with their constant support for the Arab enemy? The names I've mentioned?? Well, we know who they are anyhow!
9. thanks Larry (2), well written!

To Ben: and the British have always been a peace loving respectful multicultural Imperialist colonizing killing machine. At the time of the Irgun how many people a day were tortured and killed around the world by GB. British bias and hatred toward Israel is a joke. The Brits and French created the mess of fakestinians, Syrian and other Arab borders carved up as boobie prizes for rich Arabs in fancy robes. Hashemite Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, woops no we'll give them the Jews land of "Jordan" instead. It's about time Brits put up and help create the already populated state of Fakestine in Jordan. Or shut up already. We know you created the mess and now you're only making it worse!!!!!
12. Yes, give palestinians a state
Yossef   (05.13.11)
to rule palestinians is the worst thing for Israel, for a lot of reasons: moral, political. So Yes, give them a state.
13. There is one kind of medical support that
Vardina   (05.13.11)
I would gladly send to those Muslim murderers: poison.

solomon ,   bklyn   (05.13.11)
They were hanged by the small, renegade Irgun. The mainstream Jewish organizations, such as the Haganah, decried this act. The arabs rejoiced in the killing of the Israeli soldiers. They were all proud of it: no regrets. There IS a difference. Although I don't expect you to see it, with your blinders onn.
15. #5 Ben-Jerusalem
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (05.13.11)
When you write, be more specific as to which Ben you're directing your missives to After looking at the posts that precded yours, I couldn't find a single one from any other Ben What have you been drinking ? or should I say, take the needle out of your arm Now, since I am the one "TRUE" Ben, I'll answer your questions Next time, when you post, tell it all, not just a selective portions "The Sergeants affair (Hebrew: פרשת הסרג'נטים‎) was an incident that took place in Mandate Palestine in July 1947 in which the Jewish underground group the Irgun kidnapped two British army Intelligence Corps NCOs, Sergeant Clifford Martin and Sergeant Mervyn Paice, and threatened to kill them if the death sentences passed on Irgun militants arrested by the British authorities on charges of illegal possession of arms, and with 'intent to kill or cause other harm to a large number of people',[1] were carried out. When the executions were carried out, the Irgun murdered its hostages and hung their booby-trapped bodies in a eucalyptus grove near Netanya. This act was widely condemned in both Palestine and the United Kingdom. Soon after hearing of the deaths, British troops and policemen "went on the rampage" in Tel Aviv, killing five Jews and injuring others.[2] The murders also sparked off antisemitic rioting in some British cities.[2" You should feel better now that you have all the facts
16. LAUGHABLE REPORT
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.13.11)
To quote the report here: The Myth "Amnesty said the blockade was a violation of international law and constitutes collective punishment." The Facts: Israelis responding to "collective punishment" on towns like Sderot where the entire town is forced into bomb shelters. Why? Because of the Arab attacks...all of them... violate TWO international Laws: 1) First rocket and mortar attacks AGAINST CIVILIANS. and 2) Launching the attack against Israel from Arab Residential areas using the Arab population as "human shields". Basically each Arab attack actually violate THREE International Laws 1) Collective punishment 2) Attacks intentionally targeting civilians 3) Using human shields. Yet they only comment on the Israeli response without noting the reasons for that response. We call that bias. Amnesty again writes: The Myth "The report mentioned the IDF raid on the Gaza-bound flotilla in May 2010" Saying it also violates International Law, The FACT: It doesn't, another false statement. and didn't violate any International laws. The blockade itself, and the enforcement of the blockade are both entirely legal under International Law. Again the Rights group writes: The Myth "The rights group also addressed military checkpoints in the West Bank, the separation fence" The FACT; Both the checkpoint and separation fence were in response to infiltrations and suicide bombings. The before and after statistics proved that both tactics sharply reduced the Arab attacks and save Jewish Israeli lives. The entire article reads like this, where only half the story is told. We hear of what Israel did, BUT NOT why they did those non-violent actions.
17. #14 Solomon, tell it like it actually was
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (05.13.11)
The British hung two Irgun men after they were warned there would be payback if they did, which is a pertinent fact that you intentionally left out Since you mentioned the Haganah, you should LEARN about the Altalena and what the Haganah did to that ship and passengers I know some of the volunteers that were on board the Altalena, have heard and appreciated their experiences, which were dreadful, being shot at while in the water as they desperately attempted to reach the shore and safety Next time, before you cast stones, try learning about the subject And you have performed service in which Armed Force, USA or IDF ? Ever hear of Pidyon Shevuim, that's exactly what the Irgun attempted, it didn't work out
18. 312 Yossef, they already have a state
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (05.13.11)
It's Jordan, which the British stole from the Jews portion of Mandate Palestine They're free to leave for home at anytime that want to
19. #5 Ben, as requested, I told you in #15
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (05.13.11)
You owe me a thanks for alleviating your ignorance, and yourself an apology for making an ass of yourself
20. Amnesty is complicit - they protect these scum.
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (05.13.11)
because they hate the Jews. Well i hope it's not too long before 'palestinians' torture amnesty workers.
21. Is this the best that Amensty can come up with?
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (05.13.11)
Our blockade of Gaza is entirely legal under every single international law and treaty on the subject. Checkpoints on our territory are legal as well. As for medical attention to 'Palestinians' this is not a right, but a privilege. We are under no obligation to give them a damn thing. I do not see the US being condemned for NOT providing medical care to Cubans, I wonder why? Might be because they are no more required than we are.
22. #3 medical treatment
Joe ,   Florida, USSA   (05.13.11)
I like the idea. Why give medical treatment to someone who vows to kill you? It's time to stop being nice and lending a hand to your enemy. Humanitarian aid to the enemy is backfiring. When your enemy is trying to kill you, you don't give him life-saving surgery.
23. #17 ben jabo
solomon ,   bklyn   (05.13.11)
I told it like it actually was and left nothing out intentionally. #5's comparison was between organizations supported by the majority, and one supported by the minority. We all know about the Altalena. Don't assume one doesn't know ("don't cast stones...") just because he/she disagrees with you. Anyone can give an opinion here. There are those who have served, but we may not agree with them. SInce you ask however; IDF.
24. #23 Solomon, anyone can give an opinion
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (05.13.11)
However, you must ascertain all the facts and stop be selective when you them You might say that I know a bit more about the Altalena than you do Those that survived the destruction of the Altalena, returned to the USA, if that was their point of origin, formed a group "American Veterans of Israel", which included IDF, IAF, Aliya Bet volunteers that fought In Israel's War of Independece, the acronym was "MACHAL', encompassing Volunteers that fought in later wars Being a member myself, let's just say that my knowlege is a bit more than yours, having heard it directly from the mouths of those on board the Altalena You had absolutley no business condemning any action by the Jewish Fighers that shed their blood IDF ? Yechida Kravi & Dergah ? If, for one, wouldn't have wanted you alongside or behind me under any circumstances, since you sold out the Irgun to the Brits
25. #24 ben jabo
solomon ,   bklyn   (05.14.11)
The article wasn't about the Altalena. My point was the difference between most arabs wanting to kill the Jews, and most Jews of that time supporting the Haganah, not the Irgun. (Personally, I think "not supporting" is different than "condemning", but I guess that's too subjective a topic.) Follow your own advice "tell it like it actually was" and "don't be selective with facts".
26. Wow! that was a long article from no where.
Ypip ,   Canada   (05.14.11)
27. #24 Solomon
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (05.14.11)
Nice try at diverting attention from how you condemned the Irgun, leaving the British clean as snow Somehow or other, though I requested, Yechidah & Dergah, or didn't you serve in the first place in Tzahal
28. #27 ben jabo
solomon ,   bklyn   (05.14.11)
You, sir, are the master at diverting attention. The article and discussion was nothing about the altalena, nor did I condemn the Irgun, nor did I say the British were clean. You once accused me of putting words into your mouth. I apologized. Now it is your turn!. I stated the REALITY. And if you would not want me on your side, then you would not want most of Israel (members of the Haganah) either. Sod Tzva'ih.
29. #27 ben jabo
solomon ,   bklyn   (05.15.11)
Apologies that I wasn't clear in my post immediately previous to this. I was in the IDF. Period. I don't care if you believe me or not. Say what you want. Many times, you have judged someone's TB by what and when and where and if someone served. I will not go down that ego path. We are here to participate in TB's, not to compare our 'qualifications'. I expect you to answer with at least some vilification. If you don't, my apologies. If you do, you will go down that path on your own. I prefer to get back to the TB's. Shalom. Peace.
