1. What about the Jewish Nakba?
Yaniv ,   Israel   (05.14.11)
The Arab world still owes $billions to the in damages and confiscated property to the 1 million Jews who were expelled from Arab countries, even some countries that Jews have lived longer than Arabs, such as in N. Africa. Secondly the Arab Nakba was caused by Arab leaders, so why are they taking out their hatred on Jews?
2. A pity about this kid
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (05.14.11)
No one should die at 17. It's a worse pity, how this will be exploited and rioted over, with no proof whatsoever that Israel had anything to do with it.
3. The Arabs have never missed an opportunity to miss an
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (05.14.11)
opportunity, and they keep proving this very astute observation by the late Mr. Abba Eban.

anonymot ,   Watertown, USA   (05.14.11)
Sounds like Syria, Libya, Yemen, etc. Perhaps it's time for a regiome-change, democratization, etc. Should the U.S. cut of its funds? Should NATO attack? Where's the difference? Seriously.
7. If they don't behave themselves like civilized human beings

10. One happy family
tiki ,   belgium   (05.14.11)
They wanted 'Nakba, know they have their 'Nakba + their Martyr. This family must be totally happy. MORON must be their 'middle name.
11. No one should die at 17.
Michael Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (05.14.11)
Not an Arab and not a Jew. The family's refusal to perform an autopsy will leave the question of who shot him open, allowing the "usual suspects" to blame Israel, whether it's true or not. Remember Mohammad al-Dura, who, it turns out, was killed by a Pa\lestinian bullet?
12. Who cares?!

13. No one should die at 17?
jason white ,   afula, israel   (05.14.11)
Add up the ages of the three Fogel children butchered in their sleep by arabs and it is not 17! They were in their beds and crib, not in a riot! Too bad the government is not putting down the riots with the maximum force. If there is a riot in a town ,village or neighborhood, then seal it off from the rst of the country for a few months.

One of the Palestinians killed him and blamed Israel?
17. Do they really want Palestinian Statehood?
Maria ,   USA   (05.14.11)
Is this people power? If they really want a state of their own, they should behave like civilized people.
18. Another home-made 'martyr' ?
rivka ,   los angeles   (05.14.11)
1) That the boy was shot - is not disputed 2) Who shot him, with what weapon, and what bullet - IS NOT ESTABLISHED 3) If the autopsy is being denied - then it is likely that the bullet could have come from anyone - especially someone who needed to produce a 'martyr' to incite the violence. It was clear that violence was intended to begin with. They started throwing rocks already since Friday - and where are the PA police ? Hizbollah, Hamas, Fatah, and their sponsors in Lebanon, Cairo, Jordan and Syria are waiting for the signal. It is also likely, that if an Israeli soldier was captured in the past, that his weapon was captured also - and the only way to have certainty about the ballistics and forensics - is by autopsy, and examination of the bullet. The denial of an autopsy seems to be deliberate obstruction.

rivka ,   los angeles   (05.14.11)
It is obvious that 'martyrs' would be produced to incite further violence- and if they refuse an evidentiary autopsy, but persist that the bullet was fired by an Israeli soldier - Israel should refuse all medical and forensic services to Palestinians -as long as they refuse an autopsy. In no civilized world can you blame someone without a proper investigation.
20. Asked???
Paul ,   London England   (05.14.11)
"had asked to autopsy the body" So the victims parents are allowed to decide whether a murder should be investigated by the police? The evidence is simply buried? What a very silly state of affairs.
21. #20, paul: for an "investigation" in israel, the results...
eporue ,   europe   (05.14.11)
of an autopsy are neither needed nor used... autopsy can be skipped.
22. #13 " To bad the government is not .....
Alex ,   USA   (05.14.11)
The government should know, the Arab mentality. If the not stopping it today with a considerable force, by tomorrow they need a much bigger force to stop it. Maybe by tomorrow it may go out of control. I hope the authorities will wake up real fast.
23. Never Again!!!

2,000,000 jews expelled 60,000,000,000 US dollars stolen were is the UN?????
24. the 17 year old Arab who was shot
alan m ,   new york city, USA   (05.18.11)
I read some talkback wherein someone wrote he saw a YOU TUBE video of the boy throwing a molotov cocktail which might have instigated the shot. I was unable to find it. If Honest Reporting can locate it, it could be most informative.
