Druzem: Just to add to your comments, my understanding is that the Druzem in 1948 sided with Israel because they were told to do so by a Druze prophet who knew that the (Israeli) Jews would win the War of Independence. They are very practical people. With respect to the Golani Druzem, I agree, they hesitate because they are not sure where Israel will go with The Golan. They don't wish to be caught in the crossfire. Once Israel establishes itself irrevocably on The Golan, the Golani Druzem will also commit to the State of Israel.
