This is the only language they understand. We are not living in Scandinavia
4. STATEMENT OF THE OBVIOUS
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.15.11)
Let's face it, Israel shouldn't even have to respond to this obvious PR stunt. Of course Syria planed it, and allowed it to happen. The Syrian government has always ruled with a Iron fist. They've proved this all to well over last months with their brutal repression of the protesters in their country. So there is no way a bunch of buses filled with Palestinians from the camps in Syria could have reached the border without the Syrian governments consent.
5. The IDF used American manufactured
seadog1946 ,   ArthurKill, NJ   (05.15.11)
weapons and ammunition... all paid for by American taxpayers... but used by the IDF... no American troops were involved.
6. Israel restraint was the best answer and
Saed ,   Iran   (05.15.11)
Israel behavior showed how much israel is big in behavior.our neighbor are ashamed of what they have done.they expected that we fire on people and change the attention to israel but they have failed.except israel there is no country that allow its neighbors pass the border and show a huge mercy to the people that yell its destruction.you are big israel.bigger than your neighbors not your enemies.
7. I would not expect us to be so smart!
Uri TA   (05.15.11)
It is crystal clear what Syria is trying to do... A couple of days ago, Rami Makhlouf, the cousin of Bashar, told there would be no stability in in Israel if there is no stability in Syria. Today, Bashar made a trap for us and we fell into this trap by our very smart behaviour of shooting the infiltrators. Shooting and killing does not make sense in this situation. However, we have no strategy to cope with the situation. We are falling into one trap after the other... Why didnt we arrest these infiltrators? Instead, our smart decision makers ordered to shoot them... It is simply phantastic how Bashar outsmarted Netanyahu...
8. The State of Israel the Fate of Israel
Shirley ,   Dallas Tx.   (05.15.11)
Does'nt seem like Israel will be able to sit this one out, cherish thy days the few days of peace before this Arab spring, the proverbial straw that breaks the camels back will be many.
9. and there you have it nakba enthusiasts

10. Has Ehud Barak been fire yet?
Rachel ,   US   (05.15.11)
11. Confused...
Rube Vogel   (05.15.11)
I thought it was Assad who was killing Syrian Protesters. Seriously though, if you're not allowed to protect your borders, your not allowed to have a country... but then again that's the real point isn't it.
12. Assad has now his chance to provoke war with Israel
Jouko ,   Finland   (05.15.11)
13. Any fool could have seen this !!!
Dr. Honey ,   Gaza   (05.15.11)
Assad is trying to demonstrate the point his cousin stated to NY times a couple of days ago: Syria's stability is Israel's stability, in a bid to make the US and Israel think twice before pulling any strings that might jeopardies his regime. Today he showed us : mY regime has kept your borders safe for 40 years and this is gone when I am gone. Now, I hate Assad. I think he's a ruthless dictator and a manipulator. If I were you guys, I would build a PR campaign around how lovely Assad has been in keeping Israel safe and that he's Israel's best choice. This will discredit everything he was convincing Syrians and Arabs and will totally embarrasses him. While at the same time slaping his ass in front of his people, such as breaking the sound barrier above his residence and making him shit in his pants from the sonic boom. WOW. talk about a ass-kicking payback!!!!
14. # 3 Shoot to kill
Elizabeth   (05.15.11)
Absolutely. No question about it, but Israel needs to send a few more to their maker - namely satan!
15. #5; seadog, SO WHAT??
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.15.11)
What does it matter where the bullets or guns come from? If we shot Mexicans crossing the border with a Barreta 9mm, would you blame the Italians? Or an AK-47 made in China (since the Russian ones are illegal here) is the the fault of the Chinese? Be real.
16. #5 Dumb Dog - Stupid remark! Based on what?
meir elazar   (05.15.11)
Israel manufactures its own Uzi, Galil, etc. It has exported tons of weapons to USA. It sells scientific and medical devices to USA. Many of the chips in most computers and software is also "Made In Israel". So thank you Dumb Dog for your support.
17. Now Bibi said its not our fault the UN will get involved
zionist forever   (05.15.11)
I think we should prepare for Goldstone 2 and probably a few UN General Assembly resolutions being passed to condemn Israel over it. Its also of course going to be splashed all over the western leftist media and it wouldn't surprise me if we had Obama or European leader announcing this is not helpful to the peace process or just outright condemning us over the killing of those people trying to get through the fence. When Bibi says its not our fault the left say oh yes it is.
18. Israel Have A Right
larue ,   U.K   (05.15.11)
While much think that the palestinian have a right for a state of there own , If they so detest the Israelis and the state of Israel they are happy to leave and go to some arabic country.
19. Better deterrents are available
shlomo ,   USA   (05.16.11)
Why doesn't the IDF buy US designed non-lethal crowd control systems. The US has both microwave and acoustic systems that work even against the most resolute protesters. The microwave model can cause protesters to feel like their skin is on fire when in the beam. The audio version can make protesters so nauseous they are incapacitated. Neither system causes lasting injury even after several exposures.
20. non-lethal
Kevin ,   US   (05.16.11)
Well part of reason Israel does not use weapons mentioned is they are not yet field ready ... I am sure they will be used once they are ready & effective at usable distances.
21. This Will Encourage More Arab Violence
emanon ,   USA   (05.16.11)
This is a MAJOR mistake by Israel. By release in the money, especially after the anti-Israel protests, Israel looks like it is caving in to violence by arabs and trying to buy appeasement. Very bad precedent. Even without the recent uprising, the terrostinians do not deserve israeli money. We know where it will all turn up: it will be returned to Israel in the form of bombs, rockets, mortar shells and small arms fire.
22. syria
DAVID ASLESON ,   MINNEAPOLIS USA   (05.16.11)
THE SYRIA GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO KEEP ITS OWN POWER BY THIS INCIDENT WITH ISRAEL.
23. who is liable
mohson   (05.16.11)
in 2006, peretz and halutz paid the price for screwing up the hezbollah war while olmert decided he did not have to obey winograd. That's another story. more recently, the marmora raid was screwed up underequipping the naval commando and not assumiging the worst. The boss of the idf is ehud barak. Its the job of the defence minister to use all the resources to make sure israel is ready for all attacks. This includes nakba protests. Naval commando were severely injured under barak's watch. And now, a section of the golan fence near magdal was breached and the arabs occupied town centre with PLo flags. Suppose instead of 500 or 1000 protesters, suppose there were 25,000 who breached the fence. Barak's protests that we didn't anticipate this action is not good enough. He should be fired on the spot and replaced with yaalon. Give him a desk job on future idf planning so long as no lives depend on him. with sharon and yaalon, you get something. From barak, you get dead and injured israelis all the while barak rushes to make concessions. Its unbelieveable.
24. #5 you idiot propagandist! LOL!
EZ ,   US   (05.16.11)
The US BUYS AMMUNITION FROM ISRAEL YOU FOOL! ISRAEL MAKES THEM FASTER AND CHEAPER FOR THE US!! ALL US COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY AND ANTI-TERRORISM TECHNOLOGY IS FURNISHED AND OPERATED BY ISRAEL (please do note that NO FRIGGIN TERRORIST ACTS HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT AGAINST THE US SINCE THEN!!! You're welcome sour-puss). Not to mention the most important but of information: the amount of taxes your sorry butt pays doesn't even pay for a pot hole to be filled, let alone a single bullet for the IDF LOL!!! Arrow 3 missle defense: Raphael and US defense corps WORKING TOGETHER FOR BOTH NATIONS SECURITY! "Trophy Personell Carrier Anti-rocket Systems by Israeli Defense Cos: 250 ordered last year by the US Army & Marines (at a joke of a cost!). Etc, etc. Shut up about your taxes: the us DOESN'T EVEN NEED THE 10% of taxes that 93% of Americans pay! We could function fine on just the taxes the rich pay...as we CLEARLY DO so keep your stupid tax money...we didn't need the candy bar anyway: we have loyal friends who GLADLY provide finances to Israel for it's security, unlike tight-wads like you! LOL! LOOOOOOOOSSSSER!
25. Give Em the Golan So They Can Be in theGalilee
Noah Lev ,   HollywoodUSA   (05.16.11)
Anyone notice the smiles on the faces of the invaders, and I mean Syrians? If the reverse, would Israeli Jews be happy..while being shot at close range by Syrian thugs, sharpshooters and hired mercenaries and irregulars. Oh, Im talking about the Syrian reacton to its own people's protests within. Give credit to Assad, he is using this as a diversion from his problems. But it wont work. Israel did not take the bait this time (it learned from the flotilla tragedy). Now Turkey is demanding the names of the sailors. Good luck. Hey I know, Mickey, MInnie, Pluto..get the idea. This Nakba feast is just the tip. Its really a probe on the borders..to see both sides weaknessess and rectify. If demos are larger, Israel will have to use more lethal weaponry. Hows about a bombing raid over Damascus? Oh wait, that would unite the Syrians behind Assad who will be crying. Are you learning anything pro-Syrian supporters to return the Golan. No Golan, they would be in the Galilee by now.
26. Imagine if this was Korea
Michael ,   Ny USa   (05.16.11)
Imagine if S Koreans or North Koreans stormed the border to exercise their right of return-The death toll would be in the thousands. One question though. Isnt the border mined?
27. Wow time lapses
Concern ,   U.S.   (05.16.11)

28. Baby dictatator using distractor for his wave of killings.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.16.11)
29. Not 67 borders -but EXISTANCE of Israe;
ovadyah ,   hales   (05.16.11)
Their fight isn’t about the 1967 borders, but the very undermining of the State of Israel. It is important that we face reality and know who and what we are dealing with." Plain and SIMPLE --- always Was & always will be...
30. Syrians were preparing for this action on Facebook.
tanya ,   tel aviv israel   (05.16.11)
Why IDF was caught unprepared? Imagine the intruders were armed. Fire Barak NOW!!!
