1. A very interesting and plausible hypothesis
john ,   cardiff   (05.16.11)
The writer has written a plausible thesis but appears with a very hypothetical wishful thinking.
2. WTF is Sever saying?
HaifaGuy   (05.16.11)
This article is a piece of nonsense wrapped in hollow demagogery. Is he warning us against the US? Latest US achievements: -Communist-free Vietnam (lol) -Deradicalized Iraq (ha!) -Defeated Taliban (huh?) -Sanction-weakened Iran (umm...) -Peace in the ME (yeah!) Watch how the tables turn on all you Doomsday prophets, watch how Israel prevails overnight with US firmly on her side (or vice-versa), watch and weep in dismay. Remember the War of Independence? Remember the 6-Day War? The turnaround in the Yom Kippur War? Remember the 100 goddamn scud missiles that killed one cardiac patient in TA? Whoever is up there looking out for us has another happy ending in the pipeline. We shall overcome!:))))
3. The delusional right
Gabriel ,   Tel Aviv   (05.16.11)
Who wants a Palestinian state? Everyone except Israel.
4. The American elites maybe...they think
BJL ,   usa   (05.16.11)
the arabs will give us cheaper oil if we screw Israel over but not the American people. The American people want no part of a fakestinian state.
5. So it all reduces down to a "snivel at the Yanks"...........
Cameron ,   USA   (05.16.11)
moment, eh Plocker? Is that where the search for culprits finally leads?
6. Establishment of Palestine
Mark ,   USA   (05.16.11)
Whoever thinks that the establishment of a rump state in the west bank and gaza will fix the middle east's ills, is living in a fantasy world. The palestinians will never give up their "right of return" to homes in internationally recognized Israel, nor will they stop their "resistance". The fact is that the palestinians will only rest when the whole of Israel is under their control. If Palestine comes to fruition, the middle east will be engulfed in a wider middle east war. Mark my words.
7. Hey Plocker Does the Pal. leadership told you that
WTF?   (05.16.11)
or you just fantasizing? and descided to flood this place with your nonsense?
8. WFT I am an American and I CERTAINLY do not want
(05.16.11)
to see a palestine. and neither do most of the americans here that i know of.
9. don't EU and UN want 2 states?
ban krescent moon ,   EU   (05.16.11)
10. 3 Gabriel - Almost Exactly
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (05.16.11)
It is mostly the Israeli right. Somebody should also point out that Netanyahu has never endorsed anything approaching the two-state solution. he cannot bring himself to say "Palestinian independence" or "Palestinian sovereignty." His vision is something far less than the American Indian reservations.
11. Umm yes we do.
Ahmed Morsy ,   Cairo, Egypt   (05.16.11)
I'm going to stop you right at the first paragraph. Yes, everyone in the region wants a Palestinian state NOW. That is if not the complete removal of Israel. Okay bye.
12. who wants another pal state?
moron ,   galut   (05.16.11)
americans led by rev farrakan and jstreet jews
13. Who Wants Palestine?
Bill W ,   USA   (05.16.11)
The answer given "At this time, only Americans want to see establishment of sovereign Palestinian state" is no really true. The correct answer should be President Obama. A great many of us Americans still support and back Israel! Please don't lump all Americans with Obama, we know in his heart of hearts he supports the Muslins of the world.
14. Not "America", Plocker - only our boob in the White House
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (05.16.11)
The US Congress, which controls foreign policy behind our stuffed shirt Commander-in-Chief, is not supportive of either a Palestinian State or the moronic machinations of the Obama regime toward this goal. If Obama thinks he can force this down the throats of Israel and the American people, he is looking for all-out political war with veto-proof majorities in both houses of Congress, and in an election year, no less.
15. Did anyone in the region want Israel?
Nina ,   NYC   (05.16.11)
Nope. On the other hand, the vast majority of world nations want a Palestinian state.
16. Who wants Palestine?
Sherri ,   Montgomery   (05.16.11)
Maybe our backward-thinking, uber-liberal, politically-correct government wants this; however, most American's stand with Israel, just as she has stood with us! Is this how we treat those who treat us well?!
17. End fake Israeli support for Two State Final Solution.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
There is tons of evidence that America doesn't want the disaster of a fictitious "Palestine" in Judea and Samaria. Creating such a state would merely increase the already exhorbitant financial demands of "Palestinians" on the international community. Nothing else. Only the Obama regime wants this. Israel, of course, has the most to lose by allowing such an abomination. It would instantly render Israel defenseless, with an 8 mile (15 minute tank ride) waist. Israel must totally end her fake support for the Two State Final Solution.
18. I thought you were going to change,
Israeli 2   (05.16.11)
PLOCKER! With false notions and editorial descriptions like: Most Israelis intuitively feel, just like former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon did, that “the occupation is bad for Israel.” Most Israelis? NO! Occupation? NO! You are and still remain a leftist!
19. Israel keeps Jerusalem, all the settlements, more land for
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.16.11)
expansion, maintains sovereignty over air and borders so there is no smuggling and says, "Here is your state, you will get nothing else, no return of refugees, NOTHING. Now stop your whining and be happy, this is over." Case closed, what is the world going to do? NOTHING.
20. Plocker is right
NewUSConservative ,   Boston USA   (05.16.11)
How do we stop our gov'ts crazy ideas. We just had to stop the Iran vs. Iraq nice little war. We just had to get the Berlin wall torn down. We are the world's police, but way way understaffed, so we get to poick and choose our fights. Majority of Americans know Israel is our friend, that they don't want US troops, and that the Islam caliphate has US next after Israel. Check comments of even young liberal bloggers regarding "diaperheads", etc. Ok, our pres Obummer doesn't get it but he will be history, hopefully before he can do more damage. Our apology for that. I voted McCain.
21. Americans do NOT want a Pal state
Sue ,   Los Angeles   (05.16.11)
It was reported right here on Ynet last month that "51% of US voters oppose the unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state without a signed peace treaty with Israel; and 54% believe that without a peace agreement, the United States should not recognize a Palestinian state."
22. Palestine Statehood
gersh ,   usa   (05.16.11)
Only American Govt. wants a palestine state, I don't get a feeling British people or general Americans have been brain washed enough for it to be in their forefront desire. keep in mind this is coming from an optimistic zionist. I have seldom read multiple pro palestine comments on any blog. As a zionist please keep in mind the mindset is that the entire world; china; and russia may turn against Israel, yet against those odds the state will remain. I hope that is no time soon because of the bloodshed already in the world how ever the God of Israel IS-REAL. History must be; that in mind as long as who is behind the scenes in American govt., over the past ten years, if they remain, yes you are right, no matter who is elected in 2012 the push for a palestine state will remain and fester, even though it surely will eventually fail.
23. Who wants Palestine?
Green Baron ,   Maryland, USA   (05.16.11)
As a loyal American, I do. This Palestinian state soon will encompass all of what was once British Mandatory Palestine. I would advise Zionist Jews to start leaving now to avoid huge bloodshed, which, nevertheless, could be avoided if they voluntarily dismantle the Zionist government and turn the territory to the United Nations pending a final resolution.
24. There was NEVER a country called Palestine in the world.
(05.16.11)
If you think that there was a country called Palestine, please answer these questions: 1. Who was the president/prime minister of Palestine before 1948? 2. What was the currency of Palestine before 1948? 3. What was the capital of Palestine before 1948?
25. Which is why
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (05.16.11)
1. expanding settlements is absolutely essential: "expanding settlements as an open wound and a constant Jewish provocation. Beyond that, as far as they’re concerned the negotiations with Israel can last forever." 2. The only way that Arab population centers in the Arab-occupied Shomron can be afforded self-determination without becoming explosive threats within Israel is to recognize them as a non-contiguous network of village protectorates with access to Israel's airports, seaports and infrastructure as long as they remain peaceful: a Concurrent Village Network, which I published back in 1988 as the only possible solution. 3. Arabs outside of "Arab Spring" (which still may not materialize in many Arab countries) need the conflict because they need the "Israel scapegoat" to blame for all of their internal shortcomings. Because of the increasingly educated Arab middle class, this scapegoating of Israel is fast becoming a tired, lonely and pathetic excuse symbolizing the "Palestinian Cause." 27. # 2
Ein Gedi ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
Both the US & the EU will sell Israel out for oil. Nothing more, nothing less.
28. A stain on the blessed memory...
Orly ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.16.11)
... of our dear assasinated Prime Minister o.b.m.
29. Hussein Obama wants Israel to be split
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.16.11)
up and to be finally destroyed...OKAY...we ALL know this...but it's Israels turn to REFUSE to his demands and the Muslim in chief CANNOT force Israel to commit suicide...NOT ONE SQUARE INCH !!!!!!!
