1. do they always yell allah akbar in traffic accidents
yoni ,   tel aviv   (05.16.11)
i wonder how he'll get out of that one
2. told you ...
NadMan ,   Palestine   (05.16.11)
told you so, but you want to take adbantage of every single thing to show the world that you are in danger, it's one of the myths israel was created on. lies and lies, thanks god this one was revealed. but many others are not.
3. actually she's right
Eli ,   Yerushalayim   (05.16.11)
"It's just because he's an Arab they say he carried out a terror attack ... Only look who carries out 99.9% of all terror attacks.
4. whatever ...... as usual sweeping a
gali in israel   (05.16.11)
terrorist attack under the carpet . but don't expect us to forget that he killed Aviv זל on purpose!
5. "It's just because he's an Arab" ?
Talula ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
AND it was Nekba day AND a suspected member of an illegal organization? AND if a Jew had done that in Tel Aviv he'd also be treated in exactly the same way. Israelis celebrate life, not death.
6. TA attack suspect
Voice of Reason ,   Here & Now   (05.16.11)
Why is it that no mention of the "suspect's" blatent attack on the women calling MADA or the Police is not mentioned at all? Why is there no mention of the cries of "Allah Achba" and "Mavet LaYahood" by the "Suspect" in this article? Why are Ynet's articles always so one-sided?
7. Tough story to swallow, seeing the destruction done
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (05.16.11)
I'll of course wait until the court issues the verdict, but looking at the path of destruction its pretty hard to believe that this was an "accident". If the tire blew, why did it take him such a huge distance to stop? Did he not have the presence of mind to: -use the brakes (initial reports say they were functional) -turn the engine off -switch into neutral -take his foot OFF of the gas or other actions??? Then again, given that he appears to have a short but very criminal driving record, maybe he did indeed lose control, leading to the other questions: -if he had such a bad record, who gave him the job? Are they criminally liable as well? Is this driver just another criminal shmuck who shouldn't have been behind the wheel in the first place, especially the wheel of such a giant weapon?
8. Not likely an accident they way he behaved
elianna ,   Jerusalem   (05.16.11)
9. to #2 wrong the detainee lawyer said it was
ghostq   (05.16.11)
car accident, the evidences show other wise, the trile didn't begin yet, and I think they will give him the max penallty, cause even if it was car accident he killed someone, which mean he can get 15 years in, it is only a matter of how bad he will get it.
10. Israel is a democracy but prevents lawyer from seeing client
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (05.16.11)
I certainly hold no candle for alleged terrorists or others who kill be it murder, road deaths or any other culpable reason. | certainly would be infavor of the Death Penalty for terrorist and murderers. However,as a center rightist I must deplore that an Israeli citizen has been denied meeting with his lawyer. This type of action is firstly not the action of a democratic country and is the sort of thing that Israel condemns in Arab States, totalitarian states and other totalitarian "democracies" like Russia. Further, this sort of draconian action only damages Israel's image abroad and certainly adds fuel to the raging fires of Antisemitism. The Prime Minister wants "Hasbara". How does he explain this sort of action?
11. 2
birdi ,   israel   (05.16.11)
nadman, stop and wait for the investigation to be completed before you tell us ''told you so'' dont you dare come to an israeli news website and spout your rubbish how you think israel was created. tell your lies to your goats, not us.
12. lawyer
av ,   london.uk   (05.16.11)
if you were the victim or your parent i am sure that you will not say it was TRAGIC ACCIDENT
13. Huge amount of damage for an "accident"
Rebecca ,   Modi'in   (05.16.11)
14. #6
Jay3 ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
Why? Because YNet has a bad habit of hiring biased leftist and Arab reporters that like to paint the PAlestinians as the victims. I see so much lies and distortions, yet never any retraction by these reporters when they have been proven wrong! There is no accountability by the leftist controlled media....i blame the government for this!
15. #6 - why no mention of allah akbar etc...
eporue ,   europe   (05.16.11)
i also read it in an inital report... most likely - it was just not true... it seems to me, that at the beginning of a case, rumours are spread, making it look like a "crystal clear" terror attack... in the end, the story changes... look, what happened in the fogel murder... not only, that it was immediately without doubt a terror attack, but how the story in the news changed within a few days: what happened, who saw what, what was with the fence, with the entrance, with the windows etc... there were clear and detailed descriptions of all of this, and later it wasnt true anymore... in fact, it was totally different.. the only thing which remained the same was the way the fogels died...
16. oh P-L-E-A-S-E how dumb can you be
naftules ,   israel   (05.16.11)
you really think any thinkin man believes your Bull ... Israel not threatened ... ha ha your living in fantasy land.
17. "my son doesn't kill Jews"
Dan ,   UK   (05.16.11)
Its like the Arab equivalent of a Jew saying 'my son doesn't smoke'
18. whats the problem? thats how Arab have accedents
hadad ,   london u.k   (05.16.11)
19. #12 - are you saying, that making it a terrorist attack...
eporue ,   europe   (05.16.11)
gives the relatives more comfort ?
20. #17
Jacob Erickson ,   Holon, Israel   (05.16.11)
I'm not sure that argument will even fly... you see it says "420 Powered" on the side of his truck, maybe that is the reason for the accident too.
21. Why is he afraid to admit he did it??
Chaya ,   Tel Aviv   (05.16.11)
Even if it was an accident, why not admit that it was a terror attack and become a big hero among the Arabs!! What a wuss of a terrorist!!
22. Why Do They Prevent Him from Talking to His Lawyer?
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (05.16.11)
What is Israel afraid of? That it will be proven it was simply an accident, thus depriving Israel from being able to whine?
23. lets say it wasn't a terror attack
Trevor ,   Modiin   (05.16.11)
If we say it was just a tragic accident, it takes away his hero image....and if indeed he is a terrorist...well he will look like a failure in the eyes of his brethren
24. #15: Fogels were murdered. Your propganada is idiotic.
5th generation ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
What is you point? Are you trying to convince us that the Fogels' deaths were also an accident? That MADA workers' stories and television broadcast of the nakba driver yelling allah-al-akbar are less genuine than the lame and disconnected excuses of terrorist thugs and abetors? As was said to #2, tell your stories to your goats.
25. "eporue": While the circumstances
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (05.16.11)
as reported about the Fogel murders changed some, especially in the first few days, it was always reported as a terrorist attack (aside from the Palestinian accusations that it was a foreign worker who resided on the Yishuv) and it remains, to this day, after the arrests of the perpetrators and their accomplices, as a terror attack. As a regular Reader of Ynet, you don't seem to comprehend basic news reports. Perhaps you wouldn't be so staunchly anti-Israel if you could read English correctly.
26. No doubt...........
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (05.16.11)
......we'll see the usual worms of lawyers rushing to defend this piece of veral scum just to make a few quick bucks and selling all decent principles down the swanny.........
27. Allah Ahkbar, and 17 different vehicles smashed on rampage
Al. A. Aq-bar ,   Tel Aviv streets   (05.16.11)
The man was then subdued on foot yelling allah ahkbar accroding to leftist secular Anti Israel Tel Avivians. Who is anyone kidding?
28. #2, Multiple witnesses say otherwise
Jake   (05.16.11)
As #1 said, do they always yell allahu akbar in traffic accidents?
29. Why was he in Tel Aviv in first place?
Jacob Mendlovic ,   Toronto   (05.16.11)
Why was he riding a large truck in Tel Aviv, the most populous city in Israel? Sightseeing? Trying to find a washroom?
30. Arab traffic accident
Deborah ,   Payson USA   (05.18.11)
I don't understand how so many people were injured in a simple traffic accident. Even with the terrible driving conditions we sometimes get in the States (ice, fog, blizzard etc.) causing multi car pileups you don't get that many injured plus a death. If this accident was caused by simple and accidental carelessness or inattention why was the outcome so devastating? Am I missing something because this doesn't make sense to me.
