Well done. Only one cheek.
2. If it was me, I wouldn't have been so delicate.
Jared   (05.16.11)
3. Deserved it.
Adam ,   Golan Heights Israel   (05.16.11)
OK, so these traitors to their country were protesting the very existence of the country. Pity I wasn't there. I would have kicked a few of their asses as well. If they don't want Israel to exist, cancel their citizenship, and register then as palestinian temporary residents within Israel. Next act of treason they commit, deport them to "palestine". As it is, they broke law by commemorating the existance of Israel as a catastrophe. Methinks they will be facing hefty charges.
4. It's never OK for a man to hit a woman
Talula ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
But in this case, it was. He was provoked under the circumstances. Honestly what did these people expect? pita, humus and a party? Hello! they were in a closed military zone - why do they think they can get away with that?
5. The female protester slapped the Policeman
Barak ,   Up North   (05.16.11)
and he slapped her back, you can hear him shout at her in Hebrew "Do not raise your hands on me". The arabs made sure to shoot only the response :)
6. well done
GOOD COMMANDER ,   il   (05.16.11)

woman   (05.16.11)
8. Pro & Con
A Jerusalemite ,   Jersalem, Israel   (05.16.11)
The demonstration was not licensed and illegal. The police had every right to arrest the demonstrators. That said, slapping a demonstrator in the face is NOT acceptable behaviour on the part of any police officer, no matter what she said or how she said it.
9. The slow motion replay made me laugh
(05.16.11)
10. I dont approve of the slap, but over reacting
Rebecca ,   Modiin   (05.16.11)
calling this "Beating and arresting a lawyer" is just a touch over-reacting. What the protesters wanted was to be beaten, so they could cry foul. Almost a pity they did not get what they were aiming for.
11. She should have been arrested for conspiracy.
Cynic ,   USA   (05.16.11)
What a coincidence that these Israeli arabs just happened to be at the same location where the Lebanese tried to breach the border. Obviously these traitors conspired with the Lebanese to invade Israel.
12. She would have fared much worse with US police
Gideon ,   USA   (05.16.11)
13. Using violence against the defenceless: an Israeli trait..
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (05.16.11)
approved by most Israelis, as long as the violence used is not against the settlers or other members of the right-wing. Give this 'brave' member of the 'security establishment' a medal. He truly upholds the 'morality' of the Israelis.
14. Bet she was not speaking like a lady.
canada ,   canada   (05.16.11)
15. The residents of Ye'Sha get worse
Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota   (05.16.11)
I've seen films of horses with Police trampling young Jews already on the ground.Hitting teenage girls some as young as 12 spraying tear gas in the faces of youngsters just watching on the side .Cry me a river Arabs who want to destroy Israel.
16. Suspension without pay
אילן ,   ירושלים   (05.16.11)
Kobi Bachar should be suspended without pay and the PID should launch an inquiry.
17. Mr. commander,
Salma ,   Palestine   (05.16.11)
Does it make you feel manly that you slapped a woman ?! It's not manly by the way, it's cowardly. Ynet, not again : (
18. Can't stand heat in kitchen, get out !
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (05.16.11)
I had another idea concerning Nakba Day when I saw on TV all the demonstrators - we needed to give them a Woodstock happening - then all would be peaceful instead of rocks.
19. Uncivilized fanatics.....
Shalom ,   UJ.S.A.   (05.16.11)
This kind of people deserve more than a slap.
20. They forgot to mention that she slapped
Vardina   (05.16.11)
him first. She had earned what he gave her. It took some years but finally Arabs have succeeded in making me hate them with all my heart.
21. 'Rule of law a foreign concept'...
Ze'ev ,   Lod   (05.16.11)
For our Arab neighbors
22. To those who don't understand Hebrew
Meh   (05.16.11)
The police officer asks her: why are you raising your hands on me? I guess they picked the "right" camera from several, the one where you can't see the context.
23. Less painful than a tazer and more boring to watch
Josh   (05.16.11)
24. such a shame the officer has no finesse
mea   (05.16.11)
he harmed his own honor by reacting with a slap and not with honor, not with dignity, not with sense. A man with with real strength never needs to strike a woman. A police officer should be suspended for striking a woman and in America he would have been. That this was a closed military zone may suspend some laws (and should) but nothing should suspend the personal dignity of an officer. He blew it.
25. Seriously Un-Educated
Emile ,   Atlanta,GA   (05.16.11)
"as long as the violence used is not against the settlers or other members of the right-wing" guess you totally missed the whole Gush Katif evacuation from Gaza and daily clashes within the settlements..think before you type
26. well done. about time.
ralph   (05.16.11)
27. Slap
michael Pielet ,   boca raton, Israel   (05.16.11)
A real Jew does not slap a women, NEVER. SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND IF SHE RESISTED FEMALE POLICEWOMEN SHOULD HAV E SUBDUED HER.
28. #13;Mike, AND SELECTIVE RAGE
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.16.11)
I'll tell you what Mike, the next time you get pulled over for a traffic stop, go ahead and smart off the the cop. Let's see what that get's you? This of was a much more volatile situation. Second, I remember a lot of settler's removed from Gaza that violence was used against. So your wrong there as well! But the most amazing quote you had is "Using violence against the defenseless". I think when a family is killed in their home while sleeping, qualifies, much more, than this little insignificant incident, don't you? It also reveals the bias, the cherry picking the anti-Israel writers will go to, just to attempt to make a point.
29. Symptom of hatred here
Ian ,   Israel   (05.16.11)
Not only is not ok to beat a woman but looking at the messages here its plain to see all the pure hatred that people here have for Arabs. Its pretty sickening. But wait, what happened yesterday on the borders is but a preview of what will happen in September. You don't need guns to cross a border and beat an army.
30. raciste!
chahrazed ,   barbaria .algeria   (05.16.11)
sorry my dear palestine
