Israel's foreign policy has been under the aegis of the United States since the 1973 War according to at least one investigative journalist. I observe democratic flaws make Israel more susceptible to this outside influence and less accountable to the people. We need to band together to convince the government that they should assert their sovereignty hand-in-hand with informing the media about Israel national legal rights. I know someone who is considering forming a working group along these lines. The legal issues are far more important that I can convey in a Talkback. If you want to know more, please contact me, and I can put you in touch with the person considering forming the working group. [It might be helpful to indicate in your e-mail an answer to the following questions, so the decision to form the working can be decided as quickly as possible: 1) Do you have any have reservations about an approach focused on Israel national rights? 2) Do you have any questions about Israel national rights? 3) What skills or tools can you bring to the prospective working group? 4) Which country do you live in? 5) How much free time do you have?]

and it MUST be kept and annexed...whoever splits up the land of Israel starts with the destruction of Israel...there is no place for a split up of the ancient land of the Jews... >>>NOT ONE SQUARE INCH !!!!<<<

Attorney Howard Grief of the Office for Israeli Constitutional Law spent over twenty years investigating every detail of Israel's rights to the land under international law. The compilation of relevant documents on their website is worth reading. About three years ago they intended to sue the US government for non-compliance with US international agreements regarding Israeli borders. They got as far as sending official letters to the US Justice Department. Then something spooked them and they quickly backtracked. These days they are engaged in an educational campaign on the subject. International law supporting Israeli rights is there. The studies have been done. The experts are there. What is missing is for Israeli leaders to join in this campaign. But as you may have noticed, hardly anyone, not even the MKs dare to utter the words League of Nations. Unless this fear of upholding those rights is overcome, Israel will continue to be besieged by other claims to their land.

39. No Palestine state ever on our land.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.20.11)
It would be a deadly mistake to allow any Palestine state to arise on our land. For many reasons. First of all, Judea and Samaria legally belong to Israel. We have incontrovertible proof. If we allow a Palestine state, we will be relinguishing our right to our land. Considering our Arab neighbors have more than 600 times our land mass, it is lunacy to give up the tiny land we rightfully own. Such a Palestine state would also be hostile and it would soon be armed to the teeth. There would be no way to prevent it from being a staging ground for mass attacks on Israel. We must never allow a Paesline state on our land. Period.

I will not cite the bible, just history. When the partition was voted on at the UN, Jerusalem and its environs were supposed to be international ground. This was negated by Jordan's invasion taking over the area with its army led by a British officer who was later knighted for his work in expelling and killing Jews in the area. Jordan held the land for 19 years, losing it when it attacked Israel in 1967. In the peace treaty with Israel, Jordan renounced its claim to those lands it had held. I will remind you that Jordan occupies 80 per cent of the Palestinian Mandate the British were supposed to turn over to the Jews under the League of Nations and San Remo agreement.
42. #21 I will cite only international laws and treaties
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (05.20.11)
The first is the San Remo Treaty of 1920. Go read it. http://wwi.lib.byu.edu/index.php/San_Remo_Convention The Second is the Mandate for Palestine 1922 http://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/palmanda.asp The Third and final is Article 80 of the UN Charter http://www.un.org/en/documents/charter/chapter12.shtml Note each and every one of these sources can hardly be considered 'pro-Israel'. Now how about one legal claim for the Arabs? Bet you can't find one.

44. Unilateral declaration releases Israel from all obligations
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (05.21.11)
No "Oslo" or "Road Map" to consider, no UNSC242. If Abbas is stupid enough to end-run the negotiations he sabotaged, the consequences can play directly to Israel's advantage - 1) immediate annexation of all major AND minor settlement blocks to Israel, along with connector corridors, PA gets only land Arabs actually reside on for their "state", 2) annexation to Israel of the Jordan rift valley strip, to a depth of 15 miles from the river, no contact with Jordan to prevent smuggling, 3) with the WB "PA state" enclosed on all sides, nothing goes in or out except on condition of day-to-day good behaviior by the government there and the population - no travel, no imports, no exports across Israeli land or using Israeli ports, 4) no foreign diplomatic or trade relations with the PA state will be allowed by Israel (controlling access) except by nations that also have normal diplomatic, trade relations with Israel (no way to get there - e.g. any EU or Arab trade sanctions against Israel will be applied by Israel to the WB, 5) as for Gaza, as part of the "PA state", and warlike actions against Israel - rockets or failure to return Shalit - will result in the same embargo and retaliatory strikes applied to WB and Gaza together, 6) rocket attacks, by an independent state, will result in far heavier air bombing and artillery reprisals to destroy the launch sites than "occupation" allowed, especially since use of these rockets are war crimes, 7) Gaza sea and airspace should remain sealed until they surrender their weapons and Shalit, 8) all Israeli provision bo electricity, fuel and water Gaza and the "occupied" WB now enjoys will be shut off unless they recognize the Jewish State and demonstrate peaceful behavior. All in all, a unilateral declaration by Abbas-Hamas could solve all israel's political, security and diplomatic problems - unless the EU, South America and Arab League really don't care what happens to the Arabs there after all - which is possible.
