This may be a clear response to those that prejudge direct negotiations between Israel and the Arabs. Jerusalem is the undivided Capital of Israel and the borders of Israel must be defensible borders. The boders of 1967 were not defensible as evidenced by the Unholy Alliance of Syria, Egypt and Jordan who mobilized to attack Israel with the declared intention of driving the Jews into the Sea! Withdrawal of the IDF from Gaza was a strategic blunder of the first order as we see Hamas and other terrorists in charge of killing Israeli Civilians and kidnapping Israeli soldiers. The White house needs advisors that understand the dangerous Middle Eastern Culture which can be barbaric!

The way forward is to designate Jerusalem as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it becomes the capital of no country. Jerusalem moves its capital back to Tel Aviv, and the Palestinians choose a new capital. Splitting a city between two countries just does not work.

These neighborhoods are part of Jerusalem. Jerusalem is one and was officially annexed long ago. Jerusalem is ONE, and we don't need any approval from anyone in the world to build whatever we want, wherever we want in our own capital. Period.
