1. Our ministers are just crazy..
Michel ,   Jerusalem   (05.23.11)
In fact nothing new in Obma's attitude towards or against Israel. Just bla bla bla..
2. What opportunity?
Rachel ,   US   (05.23.11)
Has the opposition heard what their good friends in Hamas had to say? Give me a break.
3. What is it with you crazy Jews?
canada ,   canada   (05.23.11)
Do you not have a memory? You are so supported in the west by secular and christian people. We saw him throw you under the bus in his first month of office. He went to Cairo not Jerusalem. Never Again? sheesh, almost certainly again.
4. wishful thinking
frank ,   israel   (05.23.11)
What the hell is wrong with our politicians? US elections are near, obama wants Jew money and support. He will say anything necessary to get it. Hoping and wishing will not ensure our survival. Let's listen to what he now says and more importantly does ....who are his advisors, what are they saying as they only talk the party line....american jews will continue to support and vote for their guilt candidate....are they so insecure...do they still believe the world will love them for their liberalism? Are they so stupid regarding not just the Israel question but by the fact that obama is, with the exception of jimmy carter, probably the worst president the US has ever experienced....what is the obsession with him? He is a failed president, no experience, holds himself up as if he were smarter then everyone else, picks bad advisors, has actually been a hinderance to the US in pretty much all matters and to all it's people and still Jews treat him as the great white hope...sorry I simply do not get it....
5. Just say No
Tike ,   NewEngland USA   (05.23.11)
Deu 23:6 You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days, perpetually.
6. Once again we see a puppet in the...
Chris.B ,   Australia   (05.23.11)
whitehouse having to please his AIPAC masters.
7. It's a friggin RE-ELECTION SEASON! Obama the devil will say
Al Angry ,   Houston   (05.23.11)
ANYTHING AND DO ANYTHING TO BE RE-ELECTED. THIS IS VERY SAD. AIPAC HAS SOLD IT'S SOUL!
8. Israel not Negotiating with Hamas
Mark ben Josuf ,   USA   (05.23.11)
Israel is negotiating (maybe) with the PLO, not with Hamas. The PLO is negotiating (maybe) with the gov of Israel, not with Likud. "Maybe" means if negotiations start. That is up to Netanyahu. He has to define what the Israeli gov is willing to part with and what it wants to retain. One without the other will not bring the PLO to the table. Vague nothings of non-substance will not bring the PLO to the table. AIPAC knows this. The Israeli gov knows this. The US knows this, including Eric Cantor. The PLO knows this. Hamas is not relevant at this stage. And all parties who are relevant know this too. Netanyahu has two speeches to outline his plans, one to AIPAC and one to the US Congress. Is he up to the challenge? Can he define what Israel is willing return and in return for what? Can he be specific as the Israeli people deserve to know? Bibi's BS rope has no spare coils left. It has all run out.
9. Opportunity, huh!!
RobJohn ,   Seattle, Wash.   (05.23.11)
Be extremely careful with this man you refer to as a partner too peace. You have had his words twisted by all involved yet you don't really know what he is saying. The ongoing drama with the Pals will continue. They don't want an Israel to exist. That is clear. Unless your US leader comes along side you and stays alongside, you have nothing of importance to celebrate. The entities surrounding you have not changed one bit. They still hate you and desire your annihilation. Tread very carefully and make certain your first and foremost aim is the total, unconditional protection of Israels inhabitants. Nothing else comes close regards the future of Israel. If the local Arabs don't like thier lives in Israel, give them the opportunity to return to surrounding countries. They must swear allegiance to the country they say they are a part of. No more of this, "We want our own country in Israel." That is no longer on the table. Stay strong, you have many in the world who support you. Stay strong.
10. NEIGHBORS
LARRY ,   USA   (05.23.11)
WHAT A JOKE IRAN CONTROLS YOUR NEIGHBORS WHEN THE BORDERS ARE DEFINED ROCKETS AND BOMBINGS WILL CONTINE BECAUSE OF NEW DESIRES TO TAKE ALL THE LAND TO THE SEA . THE ONLY SOLUTION WILL BE TO CRUSH THEM AGAIN AND LET JORDEN CUT A CHUNK OF LAND OUT FOR THERE LIVING SPACE .
11. When Hitler came back to meet with
John Prophet ,   Of Light   (05.23.11)
his Generals after meeting with (peace in our time) Chamberlin. Hitler said "I have meet the enemy and they are worms". Islamic fascists do not use worms to describe their enemy, they use pigs and monkeys. The reality of the situation is the same. This sort of evil/thinking can't be negotiated with, it can only be subjected to or be defeated, there is no middle way here!
12. Rachel-- opportunity for a peacefull middle east.
acer ,   san fran   (05.23.11)
unlike what fundimentalists on BOTH sides want.. Can you just imagine what would happen to the "ruling elite" on both sides if there was peace? THEY WILL BE OUT OF WORK.. That being said, I dont think that either party is willing to reach peace. Keep spewing hate back and forth, and it will take another 2 - 3 thousand more years..
13. The ministers, aipac...they are all crazy.
Israeli 2   (05.23.11)
At the end we must rely on one plan only.....God's plan.
14. MK responses
IRV ,   USA   (05.23.11)
Thank G-D Livni could not cobble a coalition together. She opposes everything the sitting government does, speaks in general gobbly gooks and offer NO specific solutions. She is enamored with herself. Netanyahu and company are serious and not playing the outdated political games that Libby Livni are so bad at playing.
15. Obama's not off the hook yet
David ,   USA   (05.23.11)
He should have said "crystal-clear," there is NO going back to 1967. He should have said clear as a whistle,, hello!!! the 1967 lines are indefensible borders as "history" has shown, and is not acceptable to Israel's security. There is no need to keep the Arabs in a "illusory and fictional state of mind." It only prolongs the hostility.
16. You have to be stupid to Believe Obama
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (05.23.11)
17. These are the people that we obviously deserve. We are
tom ,   tel aviv   (05.23.11)
a truly special/chosen nation, like in: "Special Needs" People! Somebody has to save these cretins from themselves, so the rest of us, the sane part of Zion can have a future. So Obama went to Jewish wedding: of course he danced Hora! What do you expect? That's a reason for exaltation??
18. Just think about a condition that the world laud and applaud for our inventions and
Saed ,   Iranian jew   (05.23.11)
Progresses.israel should try not to be dependent to u.s.israel need to be a country as america.we recieved many aids from u.s and now is the time to respond american helps.israel economy should grow and be powerful.a powerful economy means everything.china is a silent threat, israel has to be a super power as china in economy and should capture the market of the world.
19. Obama to AIPAC
Ussishkin ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (05.23.11)
Anyone who bothered watching this speech would have noticed simple but salient details: Obama spoke in a tone very similar to that adopted by Bibi when addressing the President - the same lecturer tone; applause was sustained when the President spoke of a coordinated IDF withdrawal from West bank areas. Then he said: "The number of Palestinians living west of the Jordan River is growing rapidly and fundamentally reshaping the demographic realities of both Israel and the Palestinian Territories. This will make it harder and harder- without a peace deal - to maintain Israel as both a Jewish state and a democratic state." And to this too he got sustained applause. Even at an AIPAC conference there are many who know a 2 State Solution when it's staring them straight in the face.
20. The need to reassure the liberal troops
Cameron ,   USA   (05.23.11)
Lock dat coin for the 2012 struggle.
21. Do They Hate Their Own Country ?
Dan ,   USA   (05.23.11)
Obama's speech to AIPAC stated he wants a contiguous Palestinian state. My god, that would cut Israel in half. What in the world would prompt these ministers to praise Obama's stand on the issue? Do they hate their own country? It is bad enough that America's liberal Jewish community will praise him, but not Israelis too/
22. Leftist lapdogs salivate over their master
Mark ,   USA   (05.23.11)
Sure, failed politicians who no longer lead productive lives but sponge off of society run to gobble up the empty rhetoric of a juvenile President who has no concept of the real world, nor any love for Israel.
23. NEWS FLASH FOR USA POSTERS!
Frank-el ,   Seattle USA   (05.23.11)
News flash 1!! It's the President's job to act in the best interests of America, not a foreign nation. How about a Catholic President acting in the best interests of the Vatican? News flash 2!! As Americans, it is your duty to your country to act in the best interests of your country (hint...that USA, my friends, not Israel). We don't condone violence, not do we condone continuing Israeli settlements. Obama, and other Presidents before him, seek justice and peace, which is US's best interests. This small pile of rocks on the Mediterranean causes trouble way out of proportion to it's importance to US...and Obama's presence at AIPAC is just another disgusting example of the corruption of our political system by a foreign government's nested "special interest group", where Israel's interests are clearly more important that the host country (which makes AIPAC a parasite).
24. corrupted ministers who jeopardize the existence of Israel
(05.23.11)
25. How dumb are these ministers?
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.23.11)
Obama's supposedly pro-Israel AIPAC speech is an obvious ploy to win Jewish support in advance of the 2012 election, Could a ploy possibly be more transparent? Do the ministers, who were impressed by Obama's speech, think Obama changed his lifetime of hatred of Israel just in time for his AIPAC speech? How dumb are these ministers?
26. Impose peace now!
Michael ,   California, USA   (05.23.11)
Endless speeches going on forever. Obama is achieving nothing through talking while the situation is obvious: both sides don't want peace. Peace will need to be imposed from the outside on Israel and Palestinians. So, do something, let's see some action to impose peace on those endlessly locked up enemies. Now!!!
27. 21 Dan - Contiguous
Mark ben Josuf ,   USA   (05.23.11)
Contiguous does not mean cutting Israel in half. A tunnel between Gaza and Ramallah is all that is needed. It could be drilled 2,000 meters down or more. That would be hermetically sealed from Israel entirely - no way in or out except through Gaza and Ramallah. The same could be done with Ariel or Hebron, no way in or out but through Israel. Israel just has to decide what it is willing to return and what it wants for what it is willing to return. The decision is Netanyahu's to make or not make. Make a deal or not.
28. #6..Talk about "puppets" --look who's talking now
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (05.23.11)
You are just mimicking and repeating the Arabs's anti-Israel old worn out lines.
29. HOW DUMB CAN JEWS BE??
ilyse   (05.23.11)
LETS GET ONE THING STRAIGHT OBAMA DOES NOT LOVE ISRAEL OR THE JEWISH PEOPLE IN ISRAEL OR AMERICA. BUT HE NEEDS JEWISH VOTES AND MONEY. SO HE CHANGED HIS SPEECH A LITTLE TO APPEASE THE JEWS SITTING AT THE AIPAC CONFERANCE. IF ANY AMERICAN JEWS VOTE FOR HIS JEW HATING PRESIDENT THEY ARE SICK................
30. Why fantasize a tunnel Yousef?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (05.23.11)
A tunnel from Ramallah to Gaza? Try smoking something that doesn't rot the brain. Why build a tunnel when we can use this wonderful thing called roads? We have a road called route 60 upon which Palestinians and Israelis drive together every day. Maybe we could build a road or add some lanes to an existing road. Let Israelis drive from Ariel to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and Palestinians drive from Ramalla to Gaza. No one leaves their homes and live goes on with something called coexistence. I'll take a 1% fee on the money saved that would be wasted by pothead tunnel ideas and go out on early retirement.
