1. Even Israel-haters need Israeli products...
Tahl   (06.01.11)
Everyone can yak about Israel's "oppression", "apartheid" and "war crimes", but at the end of the day, they realize our products are invaluable. They understand that if they'd decide to boycott us, then they'd have to boycott cellular phones, computers, important medical inventions, top-notch defense systems, as well as many, many other products which makes their lives better and safer. Even Turkey, which hates our guts, realizes this. Now where is that troll who argued with me yesterday about this issue? Must be a frustrating article for him to digest...
2. mistake
reuben ,   new york   (06.01.11)
i think that there is a mistake in the sentence: According to an IEICI analysis, the United States remains in the first place with exports totaling some $3 million (excluding diamonds) – a 12% increase compared to the same period last year.
3. Turkey's figures skewed by re-exports to Arab countries, Ira
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (06.01.11)
Just as Israel still imports from Turkey, Turkey still wants from Israel, but not just for itself. Some of the goods are simply relabeled and transshipped to Arab countries, even to Iran. And those figures for India? They're skewed by defense deals that are more erratic quarter-to-quarter. Imports from India and investments *in* India are more consistent (the latter growing).
4. number 1: we dont hate you?
turkish   (06.01.11)
just because our governments is crap, or a group of people are brainwashed in our country does not represent us all. There are many people who love the Jewish people, live together with them here and criticize our policies. Our voices, as more civilized people are not heard as much. Just a friendly reminder.
5. Turkey
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (06.01.11)
Keep hating, but continue to buy Israeli products, and pay on time.
6. # 4 turkish
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (06.01.11)
I wish you are right, but unfortunately, you are wrong, erdogan's spewing of hate toward Jews and Israel, indicates that there is a big audience in Turkey for his venom, and the direction turkey is taking is worrysome, many rich turks are forcing their wives, their daughters to wear the vail.
7. No real hatred between Israel/Turkey
Romy ,   London/Tel Aviv   (06.01.11)
Hi 'turkish,' then it's up to you and people like you to vote with your feet and get rid of your rotten government and rekindle the good relationship that you had with Israel before. It's a great pity that this had to happen because there is a well of good feelings for the Turkish people.
8. Turkophobia is sooo passe(like 500 years)find something new
secular turk ,   USA   (06.01.11)
I can argue about how intolerant some of you Israeli's are but I don't care. Turkey is existential strong. And by that I mean its security is based on the land the nation is built on. Over time it has proved to be a fortress. Israel's security is based on its relationship with the USA and this can be fleeting. Just some food for thought.
9. Can't speak for the Turks, but I don't see Israelis hating
Ilan ,   Ariel   (06.01.11)
I don't think that Israelis hate the Turkish people. Truthfully, we have better things to do with our time. We buy many products from Turkey and there has not been any significant call for a consumer boycott despite the low regard we have towards the present regime there. Relations between post-Erdogan Turkey and Israel will be as warm as were the pre-Erdogan era.
10. You are right # 9
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (06.02.11)
During my two visits to Israel I was always welcomed as a Turk. I was surprised myself. I hope relations between two countries will improve quickly and the cheap anti-Israel propaganda by the current government will be over.
11. Turkish people don`t hate Israelis
Igor ,   Israel   (06.02.11)
I know people who where in Turkey many times, they really liked it there, they never had to hide that they are Israelis or Jews. Sure, there are racist idiots in every country, in Turkey or in Israel, but they are small minority, that media likes to give too much attention, because conflict brings more ratings, I guess.
12. about Israeli investments in Turkey
ABDULLAH ,   Ankara   (06.02.11)
Turkey is the hotbed of cheap university graduate labour. Jewish businessmen must come and invest in factories, office spaces for rent and other building investments in Ankara Turkey as it is the most developed city in Turkey. Electronics, machinery parts, computer engineering manufacturing can be done at very affordable costs in Ankara. Invest in Temelli region of Ankara as land prices are the lowest. 15. Market economy
Hamsi ,   Trabzon-Black Sea   (06.04.11)
Seems political affairs dont effect market economies. In a market economy like Turkey the government has no influence.Private companies or holdings importing stuff from Israel. And also Turkey exporting cars to Israel.
