1. Well said
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (06.01.11)
It is time for Israel to stop ensuring the religious rights of everyone in Jerusalem except the Jews who have held the city and the Temple Mount holy for more than 3500 years. As Hagai says, that for the first time in 2000 years Jews control Jerusalem and can pray where they want without another religion preventing it, and as we protect the rights of Christians and Muslims to pray in their holy sites why do we deny Jews the same right?
2. reverse discrimination
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (06.01.11)
It is true that in Israel, the Israelis bend over backwards to appease the Arabs and are extremely careless of their own citizens. It is time for equality in religion, that all can pray on the Temple Mount.
3. RAMBAM permitted the ascent to the Temple Mount
BJL   (06.01.11)
Under careful guidelines. The Jewish people should go up! Like all other aspects of eretz Israel, assert your historical rights! These are G-d given! The foxes on the Temple Mount will just have to deal with it.
4. End all anti-Jewish discrimination in Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.01.11)
It is way past time to end all anti-Jewish discrimination in Israel. Jews must be encouraged to build everywhere in Judea, Samaria and all of Israel. Nor must we continue to tolerate Jews being forbidden to pray on the Temple Mount any time they wish to.
5. Should read:
Paul ,   Israel   (06.01.11)
Let's start another intifada in order to make a purely declarative statement. Really. A little sensitivity is required. As if this specific act of ritualism will suddenly make everything good.
6. Jerusalem
Max ,   Washington DC   (06.01.11)
When the Islamic World recognizes the Historical and Modern Times rights of the Jewish People to pray on the Temple Mount then real Peace Negotiations can begin.
7. An indivisible element of Yerushalayim as our capital

11. Obama's plan: No Jews Allowed on Temple Mount
Sue ,   Los Angeles   (06.01.11)
In his recent '67 borders speech, Obama did not state his plan for Jerusalem, because if he had, he would have lost the Jewish and pro-Israel Christian vote. In the speech, he only dropped a hint that "the future of Jerusalem" was one of the "wrenching and emotional issues [that] remain." If re-elected, Obama will push for a plan based on the "Geneva Accord" supported since 2003 by Soros, Carter and Rahm Emanuel. It states, "The Temple Mount will be Palestinian...Jewish prayer will not be permitted on the mount, nor will archaeological digs. The Western Wall will remain under Jewish sovereignty, and the “Holy Basin” will be under international supervision." In summary, Obama would divide Jerusalem, make E Jerusalem the capital of "Palestine," give control of the Temple Mount to the Palestinians, the rest of the holy sites to the United Nations, and leave the Kotel to the Jews. In other words, he would facilitate a Muslim takeover of Jerusalem.

The first PM David Ben Gurion went to New York before he came to visit Jerusalem, and the first President Haim Weitzman hated the city.
13. Even the Arabs called it Bet Al Makdis!
Ben Avraham ,   Tel Aviv   (06.01.11)
14. Salma you are right
Dave from Brazil ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (06.01.11)
there is nothing in Ramallah called Temple Mount. Temple Mount is in Israel's capital, Jerusalem :)
15. Mohammad has never been to Jerusalem
observer, Copt ,   Egypt is not Muslim   (06.01.11)
Jews, take your sacred places back from Muslim liars. Do not let them do to you what they did to us.
16. Salma #8 a first!!!!!
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.01.11)
You are correct their is no Temple Mount in YOUR capital. Ramallah has no such thing. You have one year to get your piece of trash off of our land, otherwise we will remove it for you.
17. Too holy.
Serge ,   Montreal, Canada   (06.01.11)
Talkbacks like Salma's, which straightfacedly try to rewrite history and deny our people's very existence, our history, and our most holy places, almost make me fight against this position. But the position is pretty clear. The Temple Mount is too holy a place to defile with constant visiting. That is why we do not visit, and why we should not.
18. Salma - Yes, there is no Temple Mount in your capital, Gaza.
Scott ,   USA   (06.01.11)
19. #8 Salma. Enjoy your delusions while you can.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.01.11)
#8. The Temple Mount is known around the world. It is in Jerusalem. Jerusalem is real. Israel is real. Palestine is fictional. Thus your point is moot. Get ready for the fiction to blow sky high in September. This Palestine statehood proclamation will be an even bigger fiasco than the 1988 one. After the dust settles, nobody will take Palestine seriously again. Enjoy your delusions while you can.

So there's no problem if I build a synagog in mecca?
21. Hagai... since you have such brilliant ideas...
Rafi ,   US   (06.01.11)
I think it is only appropriate that you put yourself and your sons - and the rest of your right-wing zealot colleagues - in the front lines of the forces that will be required to deal with the predictable reaction of Muslim residents. Not a single innocent Israeli should have to suffer for your warped "pour-fuel-on the fire" suggestion... Put yourself on the line - not others... otherwise you are a pure hypocrite...
22. Pray at the temple mount
DR ,   Hebron   (06.01.11)
I agree. It is past time. We must open the mount up for Jewish prayer immediately. Not only is it our obligation to all the Jews who perished without having this opportunity, it is a a betrayal of all those who fought in 48 and 67 to free the Temple Mount.
23. Let us pray on the Temple Mount the proper way!
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (06.01.11)
B"H - Let's build the House of Hashem there. If the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is indeed in our hands, it is our duty as Jews to do this now.
24. salma @ 8
Moragh   (06.01.11)
Nobody seems to be aware of where your Capital is. We are all talking about the Jewish Capital of Israel. I think that the other name for the Capital is called the Temple Mount. Or is it just Jerusalem? Please, do feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
25. #15 Mohammad has never been to
Moragh   (06.01.11)
Jerusalem! I hate to bust your bubble but Mo has been to Jerusalem. One night in Mecca, He saddled his pony and off he rode into the night to visit Jerusalem. I don't know what kind of pony Mo had, but it sure as hell moved to gallop from mecca to Jerusalem in just one night! Sure wish I had a pony that could move that fast. Menschens Kind!!! What a wonder!!!
26. # 25 Moragh
Raptor   (06.02.11)
The wonder pony had wings. It did not gallop, it flew. After being in Jerusalem the feeling of spiritual elation caused it to spread its wings once again and transport Mo to the heavens. Alice in Wonderland, Dr. Dolittle, Mo and his pony, all great literature.
27. I completly agree.
Keren ,   IL-BR   (06.02.11)
There is no reason for us Jews not to be there in the Temple of Mount. This is Israel and not Muslimland. That mosque must be adapted to function as a sinagogue( and only as a sinagogue) and in certain hours or days of the week ,muslim can go in either and pray, without a service.Just to pray. That's the right thing to do. If Moshe Dayan did a mistake,it is about the time to be corrected, and there has no reason for not doing so. Mistakes are not supposed to last.
28. American King-Crane 1919: impossible in Jews hand
observer ,   Egypt   (06.02.11)
With the best possible intentions, it may be doubted whether the Jews could possibly seem to either Christians or Moslems proper guardians of the holy places, or custodians of the Holy Land as a whole. The reason is this: the places which are most sacred to Christians-those having to do with Jesus-and which are also sacred to Moslems, are not only not sacred to Jews, but abhorrent to them. It is simply impossible, under those circumstances, for Moslems and Christians to feel satisfied to have these places in Jewish hands, or under the custody of Jews.
29. Mohammad has been to
observer ,   Egypt   (06.02.11)
Hadith contains details of prayers, rules, advices, and mandates that may not be detailed in full in quraan. Hadith mentioned Beit al-Maqdis and Al-Aqsa so many. Mohammad went to Levant in commercial caravans and had been in Al-Aqsa Mosque at least once. When the pagans of Makka tried to prove that he did not make it in the Night journey, they asked him to describe Al-Aqsa Mosque; The Mosque was already there, NOT 200 or 300 years later. Mohammad described the full and and fine details of the Mosque.
