1. I know the Israeli economy is booming

My ex has stopped calling me and asking for money. Yes siree there is a g-d.
2. If only the US were doing as well
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (06.03.11)
This week the growth forecast was *reduced* to 2.5%, unemployment remains stuck at 9%, the export-led growth in manufacturing (helped by a declining dollar) has stalled, and home prices remain stagnant. It looks like that Trillion dollar "stimulus", the 600 Billion dollar "quantitative easing" by the Fed, the "Cash for Clunkers" program, and all the rest weren't such good ideas after all. We tried to warn them, but they wouldn't listen...
3. israel Booming
Effi ,   United States   (06.03.11)
The question is, does this growth benefit the working and middle classes? Or is it all concentrated on the top 1% as in the U.S.? I am looking forward to the day when an experienced college educated engineer can earn a living wage in Israel.
4. #2: thank obama for economic malaise
david ,   new york   (06.03.11)
what entrepreneur will work his tail off and sweat so that obama could take his money and give it to someone "who deserves it more". i myself find the high tax rate (federal and local) is draining my desire to make more money. why not just work less and have more free time - obama is going to take our money anyway.
5. Send LIvni to Miami, Obama to Illinois
Noah Lev ,   hollywoodusa   (06.04.11)
Come on guys, lets not equate Israels economy ( 7.3m people) with that of the USA. Israel's GDP is about 220b dollars, (US 15t) divided by 7.3 to get its GPP. Israel however, considering it has no oil, is a vibrant, dynamic and thriving country the big disparity in income. (See Ofer). The Obama administration, whose economic policy is advised by many brilliant Jews, would in far worse shape if not for the stimulus. In fact Krugman (NYTimes) suggests more such money, but better spent. The home price debacle is fueling this, as well as the 20% employment problem.Corp has lots of money, but too few buyers. Israel's trade with US is high..despite the boycotts galore, and divestments by the Jew haters. Personally, I have purchased Israeli goods during such boycotts to send a message. The W.Bk boycott died on the grape vine. Golan wine is the best on the planet. Pales charity is fueling their economy as well as gun smuggling. Instead of building, they are burning. In Sinai, gas pipes are blown up. Instead of transferring taxes withheld to the PA, Israel should keep money to pay to protect its borders from the "mob". Re:Obama, make him a one time Pres folks. Send him back to Illinoois to join his buddy Rahm, maybe also Livni.
6. BDS, eat your hears out!
Raphy ,   Montreal   (06.05.11)
While BDS tries to choke Israeli economy, we keep on growing. Eat this Barghouti!
7. Obama must improve the US economy or lose to Mitt Romney
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.07.11)
Israel is not an example for the u.S., of course, but Obama will listen to anyone today since he has very little time left before starting his reelection campaign. A newly released poll (today) spells trouble for Obama and it is not because of his stand on the ME. It is all about the economy. Read: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110607/ts_nm/us_poll_obama
