1. Who's going mediate between Israel and Turkey
Rachel ,   US   (06.03.11)
No thanks to dog & pony shows. Bring on the flotilla. Stop acting like this flotilla is some kind of boogey man. If anything, the passengers on the ship should be the ones that are afraid.
2. turkish floaters
daze ,   US   (06.03.11)
Why mess with all the phony negotiations with the turks. Israel can say the same thing that they told lebanon/syria that got them to cancel naksa day.
3. Deal only if Israel hosts Kurdistan-Turkey Peace conference
Marco ,   Spain   (06.03.11)
Why reward Turkish Islamists with anything, even if it is only prestige? Can Israel host a Peace conference between Turkey and Kurdistan if Israel agrees to cancel relief flotilla to Hatay/Iskunder port? Only by such mutual gestures can Peace be established in Middle East. One sided steps never succeed in that region of the world. Also Turkey's Islamist government will not agree to this for 2 reasons: One is that they really want to attack Israel, it has nothing to do with Gaza, and the second one is that they already said that they have no control over the flotilla, so stopping it will shame them.
4. Oduma's Caliphate Rising
Edward ,   Savannah, USA   (06.03.11)
In years past, there would have been NO "peace conference" without direct Washington participation. What obamafraud is doing is undermining the political power of America and throwing it in the camp of his Muslim Caliphate that he so desparately wants to happen!!! The fraud is out to destroy America from within and Israel from without. And to think that someone as stupid as him could pull off such a feat does not say much for the rest of us!!!
5. AND WILL TURKISH GOVERNMENT...
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (06.03.11)
..insist on Fatah's preconditions? THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
6. Yet another conference? Does the US take us for fools?
Nour ,   One-State   (06.03.11)
Will the conference end the apartheid regime in place between river and sea? End the occupation of the West Bank (EJ inclusive)? End the illegal siege on Gaza? Stop home demolitions in Jerusalem? Obliterate the 700 checkpoints dotting the West Bank? Stop the illegal settlements? Accord Arabs in "Israel" their full rights? Between another conference and resistance, we choose resistance. Thank you & Goodbye.
7. Obama said the flottila is responsible & provocative action
Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.03.11)
So why is he rewarding these Turkish mischief makers? Washington / Obama is stating clearly that it is willing to provide appeasement for any act of provocation and to treat it as extortion whereby the US is willing to pay the extortioner a very handsome price. Do it Obama and weaken the US and the west more. That is your aim anyway. Everyday, Obama provides proof that he is a muslim appeaser and a fraud.
8. obama is a disaster
fad egypt   (06.03.11)
he is appeasing the radical islamist turkey what peace conference now and where in turkey ?? and of course there willbe huge pressure on israel to make concessions shame on obama instead of forcing turkey to not participate in the flotilla he is appeasing it shalom
9. Re: #7 That should be "irresponsible". My apology.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.03.11)
10. Like "The Little Dutch Boy"
Sue ,   Los Angeles   (06.03.11)
who put his finger in the dike to stop it from flooding, the Obama Administration is responsible for opening the floodgates leading to Flotilla I and II and is trying to stop it at the last minute with a "peace summit" (as if the flotilla passengers are really interested in "peace"). Why are they getting nervous? Could it be because they lost major Jewish campaign donors, and the worsening economy is threatening O's re-election prospects? The President's good friend Rashid Khalidi raised money to buy one of the boats (named "Audacity of Hope" after Obama's book/Jeremiah Wright's sermon). Obama's other Chicago friends Bill Ayers and wife Bernardine Dohrn are also involved. Last year, the flotilla organizers got their funding from Qaddafi's children (it actually came out of US taxpayers' pockets). But in light of what their "former" friend in the White House is doing to their family in Libya, I don't think the Qaddafis donated this year.

Turkey rejected this proposal
12. Yet another conference? Does the US take us for fools?
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (06.03.11)
Will the conference end the rocket attacks towards civilian targets? End the danger of suicidal bomb attacks? Change the Hamas Covenant? Change the policy of Palestinians? It's good that you have chosen resistance and it seems to me at very soon the real fight will have to decide. But pls, don't run to UN after five minutes, since you have chosen. Thank you & Goodbye.
13. # 8 FAHD !!
mark ,   t.a. israel   (06.03.11)
THANK YOU FAHD AT LEAST WE SEE A LOGIC AND JUST PERSON IN YOUR COMMENT !! SALAM !
14. Some offer....
Guy ,   Halifax, UK   (06.03.11)
Can't see anything in the offer that could possibly attract anyone. What's the point of talks until Israel decides to negotiate on terms which are worth looking at? As we all know, Israel isn't interested in anything other than maintaining its unacceptable occupation. Roll on the UN in September I say...
15. agree with nour
daze ,   US   (06.03.11)
nour one state I agree, conferences and negotiations are worthless. What is even more worthless, however, is the phony whining blather in the rest of your talkback. It is obvious, you are not happy living in the Jewish state. I look forward to the time, for the sake of your happiness, that very soon, your well thought out talkbacks be signed nour one state-jordan
16. There are over 24 million secularists in Turkey
Secular Turk ,   Bay Area, USA   (06.03.11)
Yes everyone in Turkey is an Islamic fundamentalist. Have you been to Turkey?? I've been to Savannah, on St Patrick's day, and based on all the Jesus freaks telling me I'm going to hell for drinking a few beers I can just as hastily judge that everyone in Savannah are dogmatic Christians. Of course I'm being sarcastic. I'm not a narrow minded fool like yourself.
17. whats the definition of bravery?
Secular Turk ,   Bay Area, USA   (06.03.11)
I agree they should be afraid, but they aren't. Isn't that the definition of bravery?
18. #6 Nour, No-State. GOODBYE!!!
Phil ,   Ireland   (06.03.11)
19. Idiotic offer
Matt ,   UK   (06.03.11)
Another pointless summit ? Nah. Turkey should send warships to escort the Aid flotilla and destroy everything that attacks its citizens in international waters. Israels piracy should be met with deadly force.
20. FREEDOM TO KURDISTAN
KURDISTAN FIRST   (06.03.11)
21. Nour # 6
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (06.03.11)
To answer your question, after reading your posts and others like it : Yes, we do take you for fools. People are judged by their words and their actions. So once again the answer is YES.
22. #19
Allan ,   Canada   (06.03.11)
...and in Israeli costal waters?
23. Pardon me for Yawning
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (06.03.11)
...but yet another conference with the same faces; the same people saying the same things, and ordering more Champagne, more caviar, more lobster, and more pliant female company at the expense of the taxpayers, whose alleged representative polititurds feel so free to indulge themselves at their constituant's expense. And exactly what is expected to come from this conference? The Turks, or the 'rabs, or the internacine warring Muslim entities of the twenty two nations of the middle east will suddenly become rational? They will instantly become civilized? They will eschew violence? They will have a burning desire to quit the quassams and desire to live in peace with Israel? Give us a break, Bunky. THAT's not on the menu. It's just NOT gonna happen. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Not gonna happen. EVER!!!! Now if you can show me where I'm not mea ahuz, bee-dee-yook right; I'll invite Salma out on a dinner date.
24. Is Obama a president or a ponce?
Keren ,   IL-BR   (06.03.11)
What an absurb such a propose! -Regarding "flottila": This is an absurd provocation against Israel and Israel will certainly stop that if they dare keep provoquing Israel like the absolutely mads that they are. There is no negotiations with people belonging to madhouses. -Regarding "piece process": Do this people have an ownership deed in their hands, to be willing to take Israel property in this way ? What is this absurd this people are attempting to usurp Jews once again!! Go take a ride,MADS!
25. US Rewards Hostile Turkey
Linda Rivera ,   New York, USA   (06.03.11)
Turkey hates Jews and Israel and seeks Israel's conquest and destruction. The unacceptable US response is to reward Turkey and hurt Israel. At every "peace" process summit, the pro-Islam US always intensifies her demands for suicidal concessions from victim Israel. Not one inch of Jewish Holy Land to the enemy!
26. turkish warship
daze ,   US   (06.03.11)
hey matt, make sure you are one of the guys pulling the oars on that turkish warship...bada$$
27. Better yet, vice versa
BUILDING ISRAEL ,   United States   (06.03.11)
would you feel the same if Israel did as you suggest Turkey does? Na.
28. #19, Who do you think you intimidate
Istead of matt ,   better   (06.03.11)
with your lame suggestion of Turkish war ships shooting at the IDF? The Israelis? I don't think so. So much for your "idiotic offer" !
29. appeasement
alexi   (06.03.11)
turkey is wrong about marmora, wrong about syria and gaza and wrong about almost anything to do with greece and erdogan is a born islamic liar. Obama instead of looking erdogan in his face and telling him he is a liar and the jig is up,w ispers sweet nothings. One of the options that israel should consider in return for 100 trillion dollars from the arab world is to move to another land and to get as far away from the arabs as possible. See what they do-sunnis kill shias and vice versa along with druse, christians and jews.bearded nasrollah heads up the terror army with more rockets speciallizing in death and smiling about it. Behind a l ot of this is the ayatollah regime who is paying back the west and israel for the hard times the shah subjected the mullahs to. Iran kills women and kids, rapes their prisoners. This is a sick satanic cult right across the mid east and israel blocks them from taking over all of europe. On top of it, the europeans sell out to their arabs. israel may want to move away from t his god forsaken area. It can leave peres, olmert and livni to reside with their arabs. Olmert would be a good choice to be minister of truth and security inthe country of palestine. Finally, personalities are so different,t he narrative is wrong. jews and arabs are not second cousins. YOu could not get 2 more different peoples..
30. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.03.11)
The Arabs have lost all six wars -- all of which they started -- and the ersatz "Palestinians" have engaged in seven decades of unrelenting terror visited against Jews both in Israel and in the Diaspora. I remind you that Israel acquired Judea and Samaria -- nonsovereign territory -- in the course of fighting a DEFENSIVE war against Jordan. Under all precepts of international law, Israel has every right to retain, settle and annex Judea and Samaria. Chew on this for a while: when Israel annexes Judea and Samaria (and it is a question of WHEN; not if), its Arab residents will be repatriated to Jordan, country of their citizenship. As to the United Nations -- who cares? The General Assembly can only pass resolutions recommending a particular action; only the Security Council can implement a resolution, and we all know that is not going to happen. But even were the Security Council to vote to implement, it would do so under Chapter Six of the United Nations Charter, which means that it would be nonbinding and unenforceable. Finally -- please refresh my memory: what sort of terms and conditions did the Allies allow Germany to negotiate following the Second World War? And why should Israel act any differently, having won six wars?
