1. NoChange in Policy, No Change in Conditions
Mark ben Josuf ,   USA   (06.04.11)
There have been no changes in the conditions on the ground, no change of circumstances, no movement towards an Israeli-Palestinian agreement. Lacking any change, there is no reason for a change in US policy. As there are no prospects on the horizon, a change in US policy is highly unlikely.
2. Congress needs to take action
elhrac ,   USA   (06.04.11)
Obama acts like he is a dictator, starting an illegal war in Libya and flouting the constitutional authority of Congress. Congress needs to reassert some control versus Caesar Obama.
3. deception by any other name, is still deception
Ronald   (06.04.11)
Lies, lies, lies. American Presidents forte. Obama notification does not contain the language that " at some point ".Did you expect something else from an Obama ? ?
4. obamacare in action
avi ,   israel   (06.04.11)
As is in its other health care "embodiment", it is manifestly dreakish in content and spirit.
5. Pointless story

6. Hussein Obama = NO friend of Israel...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (06.04.11)
okay, okay...that was already known...
7. But Obama is different?
Jazz   (06.04.11)
"following predecessors' footsteps" Bush? also? Israel was declared as a state to the world in May 1948 and E. Jerusalem wasn't part of Israel. East Jerusalem to be Palestine's Capital or Israelis have to void the declaration of Israel of 1948 and declare a new state?
8. Enough of this
John cone ,   Usa   (06.04.11)
Where is bibi and Lieberman on this. Israel should close the all the embassies in TA and force the US to move the embassy enough is enough. If the US does not support a embassy in even West Jerusalem then they really don't support Israel as a independent country.
9. And why do we tolerate this? Then we expect respect?!
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.04.11)
10. Time to call a spade a spade with Obama!
We the People ,   Israel   (06.04.11)
Israel -US relations are worsening every day and the time has come for Prime Minister Netanyahu to stop his rhetoric and tell the people of Israel where we are going! There is no doubt whatsoever that the present US Administration is the most hostile and anti-Israel since 1948 and President Obama is certainly not doing anything to improve the situation. In truth, nor is Prime Minister Netanyahu doing anything to mitigate the situation. In fact Netanyahu's much lauded speech in the US Congress and his performance in the US should be called "How to piss off the President of the United States in two speeches and one press statement"! Israel has two choices. The first is for the Government to be more flexible and try to repair or foreign relations. This no doubt will really turn the extreme right wing support away from Netanyahu and thus jeopardize his majority in the Knesset. The second option is to tell the world to go to hell which is the direction that we are going. This will without any doubt lead to more boycotts and the total isolation of Israel. Those who cannot see this are either totally unaware of the anti-Israeli situation or just are burying their heads in the sand. We the people of Israel have a right to know where our future and that of our children lies. The Government MUST decide on war of peace. If it is to be ware then the people must be prepared for it!
11. End the occupation and W. Jerusalem will be full of embassie
raf ,   athens   (06.04.11)
End the occupation and W. Jerusalem will be full of embassies. Ball's in your court. Please try to get it over the net this time.
12. Congress should revoke presidential veto
Gavriel ,   United Jerusalem, IL   (06.04.11)
The problem could be solved easily. The Congress should change the law and revoke presidential veto. The friends of Israel are in majority in Congress, so the move could happen shortly
13. Obama delays relocation because he is a bunny
Dani ,   Amsterdam   (06.04.11)
His middle east policy is the worst we had in the last 50 years, he is clearly against Israel interests. I hope Americans will send him home very soon.
14. To #7 and #11
Dan   (06.04.11)
What the f... are you talking about? 1948? It was the Arabs who rejected the Jewish state, remember you nitwit? And end the occupation? of what? Abbas and the madman from Teheran agree that Jews must disappear from "Palestine" FAT CHANCE the Jews will commit suicide. So either wise up or shut up!
15. We the people decide here in America
BUILDING ISRAEL ,   United States   (06.04.11)
and wait until nov. 2012. We the people are very annoyed with Obama and will probably vote him out. That's how 'we the people' resolve things, with a new President. This one sux.
16. # 13 Dani I hope so too.
BUILDING ISRAEL ,   United States   (06.04.11)
From your lips to G-ds ears.
17. GREAT IDEA!!
Bless Israel ,   United States   (06.04.11)
It would be nice if each USA citizen supporter of Israel notified their Congress person as to your great idea.
18. Oh Snap,...now I need a new....
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (06.04.11)
photo of Claude Raines in his Captain Louis Renault uniform. Another "Shocked. SHOCKED!" moment as I find that the "Not all that American" President is NOT going to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem from it's convenient locale in Tel Aviv; so near to the "charms" of North Tel Aviv beach. Maybe it reminds embassy staffers of the "J-Streetwalkers". Or,...maybe they have a fitness walking program going on?
19. To:#13 Danny in Cheech/Chong land
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (06.04.11)
A "Bunny?" A "BUNNY?" You call the U.S.President a "Bunny?" Hey man. No need for THAT kind of super heated, super hateful language here. Let's keep the tone of this conversation civilized. OK? Harumph. a "Bunny" indeed.
20. To All Commentators
Harold ,   USA   (06.04.11)
There is no need for you to be so rude and childish. The US cannot move its Embassy on stolen lands. Period.
21. Obama shows his true colours
Spencer ,   Israel   (06.04.11)
How much more proof do you need that this Islam educated Barak HUSSEIN OBama is no friend of Israel?
22. HOLD ON!!
Lior ,   Israel   (06.04.11)
Our best friend George Bush gave us an election promise prior to his first election to sign embassy act. Eight years latter he left office having broken his promise. people....do not expect more from Obama a percieved non friend of Israel. Security has nothing to do with not moving the embassy. It is about dividing Jerusalem. It is one president after another refusing to say, Jerusalem is the undivided capital of Israel. When bush failed to sign embassy act time after time there was hardly a ripple. now people are outraged because Obama refuses to sign it. this tells me the outrage is more about Obama than real outrage that no one in a high place will say, Jerusalem is the undivided capital of Israel.
23. Cool off please!
Thomas ,   USA   (06.04.11)
Never ever loose from sight that Obamao's chief advisors, financiers, voting block are of the Marxist Jews, like Jstreet and other Soros controlled radicals. Many of you incapable to comprehend that the Kenyan and his Jewish coterie came from the 60's "New Left" (Google it) and still pursuing the dream of International Socialism in which ethnic states like Israel have no place. Arabs are OK because their oil and their immunity to Bolshevik crap: so they keep silent about Islamist Jihad. If 78% Jewish pro-Obama votes are not enough proof for you then an eventual awakening will be very bitter pill to swallow.
24. #17
Dan the Jafa ,   Auckland, Aotearoa   (06.04.11)
Wow, Harold, ain't that just a bit rich - US can have White House built on stolen land, but not the embassy? Glass houses, dude, mind them glass houses.
25. Trying to save face, lacks the $ to move
Seymour Butz   (06.04.11)
26. Harold
Ralph levy ,   Usa   (06.04.11)
Stolen land read Eugene rostow on resolution 242 beside even west Jerusalem is in pre 67 lines. Israel has more rights on this land than the united states has on the land the white house stands on. If you want to talk about stolen land ask the native Americans about the land Washington sits on.
27. Under international law
Tomek ,   Poland   (06.04.11)
only consulates can be located in Jerusalem. Tel Aviv, on the other hand, can host embassies. Moving an embassy to Jerusalem would endorse Israel's claim to Jerusalem as her capital. This is politics, so do not take it personally.
28. #22Exactly: No self-respect, none given...simple, stupid !
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.04.11)
29. Move the Israeli embassy out of Washington
jason white ,   afula, israel   (06.04.11)
D.C. I hope the "jews" that supported this enemy of both Israel and the U.S. are happy with their choice. But I guess they are going for another Six Million and they cannot wait to build a memorial to Israel, plus a lot of Oscar winning movies and books.
30. to #20 Other nations had no problem
jason white ,   afula, israel   (06.04.11)
building their embassies on stolen Native American land! Also what about the embassies in amman? That was Jewish land that was stolen by the limies and given to the great grandfather of abduller.
