Israel cannot be part of EU. Can you imagine that any state of EU would attack unarmed people on high sea?
92. 91 - what about the flotilla from turkey w/armed terrorists?
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (06.05.11)
i agree that attacking unarmed people on the high sea is bad, which is why israel qualifies to be in the EU because it took care of those boats from turkey with those armed terrorists (which is just more proof why turkey doesn't deserve EU membership). there is actuall an obligation to put down terrorists according to the EU, but unfortunately they lack the spine to do so. that's where israel can help. so good, on all these things we agree.

OK, and where are the arms? Did IDF found anything exept kitchin knives?
95. Rabbis
robert ,   Belfast   (06.05.11)
I like the big hats, beards, and black costumes they wear. It must be very hot under all that, I expect that is why they deserve so much money.
96. Orthodox rabbis have been
John ,   NY, NY   (06.06.11)
a sorta reminder to all Jews -- religios and "secular" (can Jews be secular? it's an oxymoron). You can agree or disagree with orthodox rabbis on any topic you like; it's your human right to have any dreams you like. But please don't judge something you have zero of knowledge. As a peaceful solution to both you-know-nothing and rabbis is living through your own way of life.
97. Show Respect, Demand Change!!
Mark David ,   occupied chicago   (06.06.11)
I'm a Jewish American man. I'm a normal American Jew who dresses in normal clothes. I've graduated from an American public high school and an Illinois state university. I've been raised to show respect to those who eare older, to our elected leaders and to our rabbis. Sometimes rabbis have caused me harm by their ignorant rulings. But I always showed respect because they are supposed to be holy men and our Jewish leaders. When rabbis violate our trust and do bad, we must demand change. But we must also show respect. Respect for our jewish traditions, and respect for what should be holy men. When rabbis disgrace us and our laws, remove them and find others who will conduct themselves with dignity and proper respect for every Jewish person.

#87- "We dealt with our history and solved it. " Then it's time you turned to another's history by READING a bit first, instead of mouthing inanities. Hint (#91): These people were not unarmed nor attacked. They attacked the IDF and the IDF defended themselves. The "high-seas" were on the edge of a blockade these people were trying to break. IDF actions were legal. I suggest you change your name to Observer2 as you are just as willfully blind.
100. #38 observer
solomon ,   bklyn   (06.06.11)
And your point is...? I see that you may give up citing fake "facts" as you now include inanities in your TB's.
101. Wonder how many Rabbis in the USA earn $8500 a month?
OnTheOtherSide ,   USA   (06.06.11)
For that matter how many people in the USA earn 8500 a month? Come on Israel if you can afford this kind of salary for public servants why do you need American aid?
102. 94 - paintball guns vs. knives
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (06.06.11)
what about the martyrdom videos of the terrorists on board (yes, terrorists on board)? those "peace" "activists" sure weren't very "peaceful" were they? not so "unarmed" as you claim. since when did czechs start carrying water for islamofascists? apparently communism was so much fun you want others to experience oppression.

I haven't any problem with that, psomrde.

Avi ,   Israel   (06.06.11)
Need i say more.
105. Why the rabbis are hated
Fed up   (06.06.11)
Rabbis purport to guide their flocks as well as everyone else too...with or without the assent of all the citizenry. The yoke of any religion as imposed by clergy is a heavy burden on all its adherents; it is even a much heavier burden on those who are irreligious or reject religion and yet are coerced to comply with religious edicts. Religion is most particularly insidious and destructive when it has insinuated itself in the body politics of the State because it verily subverts the State's institutions to the great detriment of the non-adherents. It is now time to cure this cancer by extirpating this malignant disease. How is that done? By severing all connections between the State and all religious institutions/groups/sects. By the way, the clergy will earn the respect of the citizenry when the clergy will have shown by its deeds and words that it has benefited ALL the citizenry not just the few who subscribe to religion.
106. those who hate
meshulam ,   israeli   (06.06.11)
and talk bad about rabbis , hate g-ds torah as well!
107. all the ones
religiou jew ,   ISRAEL   (06.06.11)
whom hate rabbis must be from the eruv rav !
108. List of stereotypes without evidence
An elder of zion ,   uk   (06.06.11)
You hate rabbis because they are different and you feed your hate by empty stereotypes. I am not religious but I still see your article as incitement of the "protocol" style -using empty but populist arguments. Shame.
109. Secular choice
David ,   Paris   (06.11.11)
Assaf Whole is right. But orthodox rabbis' political strongness'comes from a secular acceptance. Would the secular parties (Labor, Likud, Meretz, Israel Betenou...) decide to end it, it would be easy for them to get together once and get a strong majority to change the situation.
110. The real reason...
Nis ,   Jerusalem   (06.14.11)
The source of almost all of the worlds hate has less to do with the hated, and more to do with the haters. Usually, conscience or jealousy plays a significant role (see hitler and the Jews). I would suggest the author analyze the propegators of this hatred for rabbis, and perhaps the true source will be discovered.
111. Don't hate the players..hate the game
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (06.16.11)
Whats the big deal. It is not a huge salary. It is a little above average and think of it as a mitzvah.
112. great god Baal
melchizedek ,   Canaan   (06.18.11)
The great god Baal gave the land to the Canaanites long before the Israelites infiltrated it and dispossed us.
113. Cannot take Israel/Judaism seriously
Bemused ,   Sydney   (06.18.11)
Blindly led by a group of religious dictators...tell me how does this differ from Islam?
114. Rabbinical Court sentencing dog to death
Josephine Bacon ,   London, UK   (06.18.11)
These superstitious primitives of the Jerusalem rabbinical court who sentenced a dog to death (there is no death sentence in Israel) have made Israel a laughing stock the world over. The BBC World Service broadcast the item in its World Newss bulletin, as if it were as important as the Syrian and ibyan uprisings, anything to make Israel look bad. The rabbis are our worst enemies, the Arabs come a poor second.
115. Israel
Black ,   UK   (06.18.11)
Israel was founded because of the promise of G-D in Torah. Are we to reject the Torah and the Rabbinate it allows? Torah is theocracy - not democracy. If you want secular democracy, go to the US. According to history, Israel is where it is because of G-D's promise, not democracy.
116. hate , enemy
efraim ,   israel   (06.18.11)
the worst rabbi, is better from the best secular judge and the worst enemies are the Torah haters. If you hate so musch , collect your staf and depart as soon is possible from the Holy Land
117. Why Rabbis are hated
Tom ,   Seattle US   (06.19.11)
Why not pay a bit more attention to Imams and Mullahs? they pose a much larger threat to the entire world.
118. #37 Your theology is outdated
LJ ,   Texas, USA   (06.19.11)
Do you think archaeologists don't know when Ramses II lived? Do you think they don't know how to date things to time periods surrounding it? Do you think there aren't documents discussing issues of the day? Do you think there can't be signs of a million or more Jews wandering a small area for 40 years? Do you think that there aren't things even older than the supposed Exodus that have been found in the area while nothing--zip--nada--has been found about an exodus of that supposed size? Do you realize that you have absolutely nothing backing up your mythology but a bunch of whining Babylonian goatherders's word? If your book is divinely inspired, then your deity is an incompetent nitwit, because so little from reality matches up with the ridiculous claims that the nitwit makes up. We can investigate your claims. And if they're lacking, it's not the science that's the problem, cupcake. It's your mythology.
119. #117
LJ ,   Texas, USA   (06.19.11)
Because who are being discussed here is Rabbi. Two wrongs don't make a right. Most of us learn this by the time we're eight or nine years old What's taking you so long to catch on?
120. Corrupt Rabbis
RC ,   USA   (02.29.12)
This corruption of the Rabbis was one of the causes that brought the destruction of the Temples in Jerusalem.
