1. Israel should counter with its own silly estimate. "We think
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.06.11)
20,000 were killed by stepping on land mines to collect a $100,000 payment by assad and another 5,000 were trampled to death trying to get to the front of the line in an effort to step on the mines. The remainder of the 50,000 non-lethal casualties were inflicted by fellow terrorists on each other who wanted the payments promised by assad so they could build new homes and cars and arrange marriages.
2. sky news and bbc are feeding out of the hands of these mobs
david ,   uk   (06.06.11)
3. Where in hell is our foreign ministry?!
StoutViking   (06.06.11)
Howcome these "Palestinarnians" are telling lies to foreign journalists, about being "kicked out of the Golan heights when Israel was founded" (did we even have access there in 48?!), while our foreign ministry is fast asleep? Howcome people who weren't even born in 1967 come round calling themselves "refugees" and no one sets this sh*t straight? I guess when it comes to Arabs in the region, they must be genetically displaced, because according to international law, no one's a refugee for generations. And ya'll wonder why the world is buying into these lies, including the biggest lie of the 20th century - "A Palestinian Nation". Our ministry of foreign affairs is doing a whole a lot of nothing. Why do even bother to having one if no one appears to do their job? No wonder we lost the free world's support in our cause.
4. what the hell is wiating bibi to
Robotic   (06.06.11)
what the hell is wainting Bibi to bring the war to those who started the plot: the syrian regime. There is a bmlatant opportunity to overtrow the Shiite Assad. Make that iranian goon fall into the dust.. Stop playing games
5. trust the bbc and sky
gdfathermax ,   tel aviv israel   (06.06.11)
to find any excuse to defame israel. this is typical of the reaction you get in the uk. the jewish community's day's in the uk are numbered.
6. aim for the balls
STEPHAN ,   YAFFO   (06.06.11)
7. Let's not beat ourselves up over any Syrian deaths
Talula ,   Israel   (06.06.11)
Those that weren't at the border get to live another day - those with a death-wish had their wish granted. We have nothing to excuse ourselves for, or even try to justify what happened up there. We did good and we should be so very proud of our boys!
8. A Bad Excuse Is Worse Than None.
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.06.11)
"IDF" is another copy of the Arab armies, because that We're sure one day will win the war.
9. YNET: please be accurate
Zvi   (06.06.11)
Most of the people whom you called "Palestinian refugees" are not refugees according to international law. They may be the descendants of refugees, but they are not refugees themselves.
10. someone has to stop these lies on CNN BBC and SKY
WTF   (06.06.11)
it's deplorable to watch anti- israeli anchores talk about their own views ignoring the facts and the international law which allows every county to stop people from crossing it's border without permission. i'm planning on sue some of those...
11. What "Palestinian refugees"?
Menachem ,   Israel   (06.06.11)
The vast majority of them are Arabs born in Arab Syria.
12. Why should Israel even try to explain their death?
(06.06.11)
For god's sake! hundreds of violent people try to cross the border to cause havoc in Israel. The IDF protected Israel's border just like any army in the world would have done. WAY TO GO IDF. We're proud of you!
13. BBC News 24: Absolutely disgraceful
Tim ,   Brighton   (06.06.11)
Last night in covering the clashes at the Syria Israel border - it seems that News 24 probably reached the pinnacle in its anti Israel bias The mainstream BBC News reports on BBC1 seemed to be much more factual and attempted to get both sides of the story However on BBC News 24 the headlines of the story were followed by an interview by the BBC Newsreader with only one invited guest Abd al-Bari Atwan of Al-Quds Al-Arabi and no representaion from Israel. The newsreader seemed to want let him ramble on for minutes without asking any of the pertinent questions that any sane viewer might want answered but worse then said to Atwan verbatim - 'Mr Atwan sorry to interrupt but we are getting breaking news of an unconfirmed report that a 14 year old child has been shot by the Israelis. What do think of that?' Is that a leading question or is that a leading question? Is that implying that the Israelis deliberately shot a 14 year old child in cold blood? Absolutely unprofessional, comical, disgraceful and shameful of BBC News 24
14. It is written in the Holy Qur'an
Ali ,   Abadan   (06.06.11)
"It is written in the Holy Qur'an that God granted the Land of Israel to the Children of Israel and ordered them to settle therein (Qur'an, Sura 5:21) & that before the Last Day He will bring the Children of Israel to retake possession of their Land, gathering them from all different countries and nations (Qu'ran, Sura 17:104). Consequently, as a Muslim who abides by the Qur'an, I believe that opposing the existence of the State of Israel means opposing a Divine decree."
15. #8 Salma? You didn't win the 6 day war
Talula ,   Israel   (06.06.11)
All six Arab countries that took on Israel during the six day war had their asses whooped by our forces. Don't you think you should just settle down instead of wasting a perfectly good life dreaming about what isn't going to happen - because if it hasn't happened until now, it ain't gonna happen.
16. #14
Ivan ,   South Africa   (06.06.11)
Your talkback with quotes from your Qu'ran made very interesting reading. Thank you Ali

18. war crimes
Carey ,   Saint John Canada   (06.06.11)
The golan is not Israeli8 teritory. It is illegaly occupied. The deaths of these unarmes inocent protesters is murder.
19. #5, the BBC end result was relatively balanced
Danny   (06.06.11)
20. 18. Carey - Correction
Tim ,   Brighton   (06.06.11)
The Golan was occupied by Israel as a result of the 67 War that was started as a result of sustained rocket attacks and a military build up on all of Israels borders Assad has always demanded return of the Golan without any quid pro quo guarantees to Israel So the stalemate perpetuates Hence these borders are legitimate until such time as a settlement is agreed If you believe that Assad is a true statesman then he should seize the opportunity to give some leadership to the Arab World and start an unconditional dialogue with Israel
21. There is nothing much that needs to be said.
Deebo_ ,   Holon   (06.06.11)
What other country in the world needs to explain why they defended their borders from attackers? What else needs to be said here? Why are we making excuses for this? It was done because that's what needed to be done. There.
22. Salma, you are all Amjad Awad --
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.06.11)
You are all copies of Amjad Awad. Because of that, we are sure that you will never win the war.
23. Promises, promises, promises
arlene   (06.06.11)
Carey of Canada # 18. Not only are you misinformed, but a saint you are not --- An idiot you are.
24. No need to explain or apologise to anybody
Philip ,   Afula   (06.06.11)
Israel was simply defending its borders like any other country. Many countries with a hostile neighbour would have shot to kill ANYBODY even getting close to the border. Its common sense to serve a deterrent also for the future, we cant be playing these futile games all the time, The message is simple , cross the border at the risk of being shot dead,
25. #14 Ali - what Qu'ran are you reading
Talula ,   Israel   (06.06.11)
and why aren't other Muslims reading the same one and obeying? Thank you - I learnt something today :)
26. #15 Talula, Please Don't Be Silly
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.06.11)
there was no REAL war in 1967 .
27. bbc -24
sylvia ,   capetown   (06.06.11)
its already a caliphate, london, of the muslim imams of arabia. could not win at war with europe but easily assimilated with the heathens of britannia.
28. #8-Salma
M.J. Eizen ,   Petah Tikvah, Israel   (06.06.11)
Keep dreaming, Salma, keep dreaming. In every war that Israel has fought against the Arabs from 1956 onwards, they pulled back because of pressure from the US, the Soviets, and the UN. I truly hope that the Arabs are foolish enough once again to attack Israel in force, and then you and the rest of your friends will find out what the IDF is capable of, and I guarantee you will not be happy.
29. Assad saves his army and uses these dummies to die for him,
Bless Israel ,   United States   (06.06.11)
cheaply, why not bomb Assad's head Quarters and homes? Or, is he a favorite of Obama who does nothing except try and offer up Israel on a silver platter to the heathens?
30. #18 Carey Canada
Kay ,   Cape Town SA   (06.06.11)
War crimes? Are you aware Israel annexed Golan when Syria tried to divert Israel's water source, and Syria entrenched bunkers in the hills over-looking kibbutzim from which to shell civilians? Who are your war ciminals now?
