1. Yeah - that's called "Apartheid"
William ,   Israel   (06.07.11)
an act that Leftist both decry and applaud, depending whether they like you or not.
2. Strange. I went to UAE as an Israeli
William ,   Israel   (06.07.11)
and was treated very well. I was invited back with a larger group of Israeli businessmen to tour several Gulf States and do business. They honor us, so its upsetting to see the rejection of this apolitical entertainer for children.
3. Racist Arabs: CLEAR TO THE WORLD
EZAL ,   USA   (06.08.11)
BOYCOTT UAE: EVEN THEIR BLACK GOLD....ITS RUNNING OUT ANYHOW. SOON THEY'LL B BACK IN THE STONEAGE KILLING EACH OTHER. THEY NEVER LEARN. SHAME ON UAE. SHAME ON THE ARAB PEOPLE FOR THEIR RACISM AND PREDJUDICE!!!!
4. LOL, Banning Science Shows...
Raz ,   Rishlach   (06.08.11)
...idiots. You're already half-way in the dark ages. Do you really think this is wise?
5. Again
Simcha ,   nyc usa   (06.07.11)
When is Israel going to boycott this hellhole? Athletes, actors, books, et. al. They keep humiliating you and shun you by not allowing you to participate in events. Are Israeli business people still doing business there? Is the dollar more important than your pride? They are hypocrites and they hate you. They would rather have someone teach the kids to hate Jews than have a Jew promote peace and there is nothing you can do to change that.
6. stay in israel, we don't need you in UAE
marwani   (06.07.11)
this goes to all israelis.
7. @2
(06.08.11)
the simple answer is that these muslims value money but not education and for sure not science education.
8. @2, @7
Happy   (06.08.11)
I suspect Israeli ban policy is adopted after the assasination of Hamas man in Dubai by Mossad using a handful of forged passports. How can they now trust any Israeli? Scientist might turn out to be another assasin.
9. Room For Improvement
max ,   washington dc   (06.08.11)
The Arab World may be changing with uprisings of their people demonstrating for Freedom and Change in Dictators and Oppresive Rulers. Abu Dhabi has shown some progress by reversing its ban on Tennis Player Shahar Peer after the World outcry against discrimination in sports. Perhaps a similar outcry by the Scientists of the World would lead to more improvent in Abu Dhabi tolerance for all Peoples!

Why don't you just crawl back into your primitive cave with your stoneage thinking.

12. Re #11 Maryam
Andrew Brehm   (06.08.11)
Except that Muslims are welcome to visit Israel and the US and that our shopping malls allow Africans and Indians to enter.
13. #5 - I go there not because I have no pride...
William ,   Israel   (06.08.11)
but because I am very proud of being Israeli. Everytime I visit, every hand I shake, and every person I meet - I am spreading the story of Israel which is purposely distorted and vilified in Arab media. The govt does this crap to appease other racist Arabs but for the most part, most of the Gulf Arabs couldn't give a crap about "Palestinians" and see nothing wrong with Israelis. Remember when they decided suddenly to cancel thousands of visas for "Palestinians" in UAE? That's not an uncommon sentiment. I'd like to build on that sentiment rather than ignore them as they're filled with racist filth on a daily basis, especially from the "Palestinians" themselves. Consider the groups of Muslim women who visited Israel from UK and Tunisia and expected to see racism, oppressed and beaten Israeli Arabs, a backward desert country and instead were met with warmth, scenes of freedom and equality, and a vibrant country. They were very impressed, especially since they never met an Israeli before.

I am not an Israeli but I assure you I would never visit your crappy country with your soulless fake city Abu Dhabi, why any Israeli or any rational person would want to visit your country is beyond me

William, I appreciate your optimism. Hopefully soon, your idealism will be a reality.
17. ok I will
Eddie ,   Lod Israel   (06.09.11)
I wouldn't want to go to your stupid country anyways. You guys may have some oil money and a few buildings, but what do the people of your country give the world besides Vevo and sand?

19. The legacy of Arab apartheid
Serge ,   Montreal, Canada   (06.09.11)
Going strong for more than 1000 years. The only surprise is that anyone is surprised -- why is this a news item?
20. #16 - it already is a reality...
William ,   Israel   (06.09.11)
but the few noisy racists in the world won't let you hear the beautiful music already being made.
21. More reason to STAND by Israel
David ,   south america   (06.10.11)
More reasons to stand for Israel security & autonomy in today borders. No one will stand for jews, when the Jihad begin to ban jews as well.
