1. Don't you get it ? !!!
Jon ,   Baltimore US   (06.07.11)
He is trying to help prevent a radical leadership from doing something extremely stupid. With him out of the position of influence he held inthe government, he fears that noone there now is a voice of reason. He knows the PM is liable to do anything to scuttle the international community's efforts to make them come up with some kind of real peace negotiations and is trying to makesure it does not wind up sparking a huge war that many on the right seem to now be in favor of.
2. Super Man can't keep his mouth shut !
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.07.11)
Mr. "T" should find a solution to keep Dagan's mouth shut... there is one way to do that : )

Jake   (06.07.11)
you do more damage than good to your cause. If your boss had a higher IQ or more money he would hire someone else. On second thought, stay right there, spewing the usual idiocies. You make us look even better every day.
5. The tinderbox is about to ignite.
John Prophet ,   of Light   (06.07.11)

(06.07.11)
10. One can only assume that Dagan was sufficiently alarmed by..
Rafi ,   US   (06.07.11)
... the path the current right-wing coalition is taking the State of Israel: off the cliff diplomatically & militarily. Dagan, a true patriot and concerned for his country, apparently sees the current trends as sufficiently alarming to set aside the tradtional reticence that you correctly point out should ordinarily be adopted by retiring govt officials, senior military, etc. You can be sure that he is not doing this out of egotism or to feather his own nest... His credibility is already very high. No doubt Dagan's urgency was propelled by Netanyahu's fiasco "victory" visit to the US - where Natanyahu needlessly poisoned relations with one of Israel's few remaining allies. "Defeating" and humilitating your friends is obviously the policy of a total fool and just another example of the irresponsible leadership currently residing in Jerusalem. Dagan was 100% correct to speak out and a true patriot. God bless him.
11. Meir Dagan is a war criminal, but he is telling the truth
christianpalestinian ,   las vegas   (06.07.11)
Netanyahu and Leiberman have done wonders for Palestinian PR.
12. Secret is the key success.
John Jacob ,   USA,TX   (06.08.11)
Always on focus in media and achievement of Mossad success the world is waiting of such leaks to ignite the arab world. It would be of interest of diaspora jewish population residing in Muslim/Arab majority.
13. Full disclosure
Smith ,   TA, Israel   (06.08.11)
Yoaz Handel has worked in Netenyahu's office and was a consultant for him on PR. So don't believe a word this phony says especially because he didn't disclose his closeness to the Likud elite
14. DAGAN SHOULD ZIP IT
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (06.08.11)
He has little of interest to say and should say nothing which would worry Iran more and be more effective.
15. DAGAN DESERVES MUCH RESPECT
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (06.08.11)
And then some ,and he probably knows exactly what he is doing although I wish he would keep quiet .
16. John @ 5
Elizabeth   (06.08.11)
According to Bible Prophecy it will catch fire in the middle east. But the very best thing is that Jesus will return for his friends the Jews. But I feel sorry for the Jews for they are going to spend some 7 months burying the dead bodies of their enemies.... would that be just the arabs, I wonder?
17. #8 Okay I will enlighten you
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.08.11)
The only way to make Dagan shut his mouth is to separate his head from his body just as Dagan did when he wanted to shut his enemy's mouth...good luck Mr. "T" : )
18. do you think
sara ,   jerusalem   (06.09.11)
that his words is problomatic more than the problem itselfe or do you think there is no problem only these words .
19. others go to jail
YaĆ«lle Schlichting ,   Raubling, Germany   (06.09.11)
It's Dagan's privilege that he can speak out without being caught and jailed instantly. So far, he is unmasked a flaw of Israels policy in gagging former high ranking officials.
20. #11 "Meir Dagan is a war criminal"?
Tahl   (06.09.11)
Why, because he took out terrorist scumbags like Mughniye and Mabhouh? Are those your heroes? Or because he's responsible for bombing Syria's nuclear reactor? You know, somehow, in some bizarre way, I could have actually found some strange logic in this statement of yours about Dagan - had you been consistent, and branded arch-terrorists like Assad, Ghadafi, Nasrallah, Haniyeh and Erdogan (for massacring Kurds) with the same "war criminal" tag. Clearly, these lot deserve it a hell of a lot more than Dagan. But alas, you failed to do that. I've never seen you criticize any Muslims/Arabs for crimes against humanity, despite overwhelming evidence. The only "war criminials" in your dictionary are those striving to defend Israel. And this makes you a hypocrite with zero credibility.
21. Why is 'ambiguity' a virtue?
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (06.09.11)
And honesty and truth-telling a vice? This insane idea that only if one's position is ambiguous and noncommittal then everything will be alright is the mark of lunacy. For how can even your 'friends' or citizenry be aware of your position if all you offer is labelled 'secret', let alone your enemies? How can anyone make an informed choice? Whenever I hear the phrase 'Trust Me' without disclosure of facts or reasoning, I realize that such an empty phrase is for dunces and those easily misled. And this is an Israeli virtue? You are seriously in need of help.
