The modern fiction that there is a country called "Palestine" is just that - fiction. And with the explosion of settlement building and absolute rejection of the idea of Palestinian independence by the current Israeli government, it is hard to fathom how the idea can be resurrected. With the Palestinians refusing to move or be removed voluntarily, it would seem that a bi-national approach is the only peaceful option remaining. But a bi-national state would have to have a strong bill of rights to protect minorities, if democracy is to be retained. It makes for a difficult dilemma.
