31. SEE YOU LATER
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (06.09.11)
Never gonna happen, so keep dreaming. We all know, even if there is a deal, Israel will keep all settlement blocks around Jerusalem. So why would they have a freeze? Are you stupid? They already are part of Israel, wake up and smell the coffee. These fools with their preconditions, just to sit down? Who cares? Don't sit down, then you get what you have now. how does taste? You keep forgetting you lost all the wars, and losers don't set the conditions. Your fortunate Israel is even considering talking to you guys. Personally I don't trust any Palestinian to keep their word. We have no proof that they will. While there is an abundance of proof Israel will always keep it's word (i.e. Jordan, Egypt). You jokers formed a new unity government then Hamas...part of that government... immediately called for a reversal of all past agreements. From where anybody else sits, you look like unreformed and unrepentant liars.
32. to #4
Eyal ,   Israel   (06.09.11)
Israel can also make reasonable demands of the palestinians such as recognizing Israel as the jewish state and relinquishing all aspirations of settling the refugee problem within pre-67 borders... Yet Israel is willing to sit down and negotiate without preconditions. The palestinians are acting like spoiled brats and have only to lose by going to the UN. As you recall two can play the unilateral game.
33. settlement freeze
jan ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.09.11)
You are absolutely right! A settlement freeze is definitely a pre-condition for any talks-but not the kind that YOU have in mind! I propose that a settlement freeze and PULL BACK of arab settlements and communities, such as in Gaza, Rammallah, and Shechem, and Beit Jallah, are a pre-condition for any talks-that is, all arabs living in these lands must leave at once, as these are Jewish lands and territories and alre needed now for further Jewish settlement for the Jewish People!!
34. #4 - LebanonPride
Maurice ,   Montreal   (06.09.11)
No, it is not reasonable. Netanyahu already gave the "Palestinians" a 10 month moratorium on settlement construction. Why didn't the "Palestinians" want to talk peace then? The truth is whataever Israel does the "Palestinians" don't want to tlak peace with Israel. It's high time the whole world saw this.
35. Did anyone read about Obama's new idea?
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (06.09.11)
The Genius-in-Chief wants Erdogan the Turkish Islamist PM to broker talks between Israel & the Palestinians. I just read this at the Fresno Zionism site who was quoting Prof. Barry Rubin. Prof. Rubin wrote an article listing ALL the incredible blunders that the Obama administration has made re: the Israel/Palestinian conflict. But when you read the list, one blunder after the other, you can see what a bunch of idiots are making US Foreign Policy. Prof. Rubin had to confine himself only to blunders concerning Israel/Palestinians - a complete list of Foreign Policy blunders would require a book, not a blog post. I won't comment on Mr Erekat's remarks, I think from now on we should ignore these creeps. Let Mr Erekat talk to Hamas, his new ''friends'' - he has nothing worth listening to as far as we're concerned.
36. Talking 'peace with palestinians
tiki ,   belgium   (06.09.11)
Talking peace with who? Erakat, who month ago, with his usual drama, announced that he's no longer a mediator. Fayad & Abbas who's 'mandate has passed about 4 years ago and who should be playing with their grandchildren and not politics. This means that their political word & signature, as 'representative of the Palies, have the same value as mine representing Israel.
37. Erkat & wasted opportunities
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (06.09.11)
Arabs , & particularly Palestinians can't negotiate. Seek to be masters or slave , nothing in between ,never co-exist as equals. Too many tricks in their folio, as the Koran lauds Allah for being the Great Deceiver, so another reason why they will not do bona fides negotiations. So we are doomed to this uneasy holdover situation till There is a paradigm of change in the Middle East. Perhaps a famine, or an epidemic where Israel can help and an enlightenement falls upon Arabs to awaken them to the fact that their Mullahs agends are self serving for the shephered and to hell with the sheep. Now, that would be Spring.
38. Preconditions
Jeff ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.09.11)
Netanyahu should agree to talk, right after the PA publicly says they accept the right of the Jewish state to exist, and the right of the Palestenians to return to a Palestenian state, and must abandon a unity with Hamas who refuses to consider Israel's right to exist. Then lets talk....then would finally get to peace. The Arab dream of no Israel is why this conflict continues for so many years.
39. reasonable?
bob ,   canada   (06.09.11)
Sure, demands to start negotiations from having all the spoils in advance way more reasonable than to comply with Bibi's outrageous, blatant request to recognize Israel in public. This unheard, inhuman, cruel request absolutely inappropriate and unreasonable, because that means a death sentence to any arab leader who has a courage to recognize Jewish state.
40. So weak
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (06.09.11)
Its weak how your only responses is saying I live in Canada... Really? Thats all you guys can say? Wow.
41. Erekat's thousand and one night dream
Gregory   (06.09.11)
Erekat, you are not only a fool, but a born idiot. Moratorium on construction in our country ?; dictating our borders ?, split our Capital Jerusalem ?. You are mad, and so is your palestinian tribe; a bunch of nothing, beggars, the ultimate, is the reject by the entire mideast of your presence in their midst, like a plague. And you want Israel to comply with your demands, a la Hitler. You agree or we invade the UN. Erekat, why don't you go back to the hospital in order to fill the void in your brain.
42. Erekat resigned on February 13, 2011
michael redbourn ,   arad israel   (06.09.11)
February 13, 2011 - During a PLO meeting, chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat resigned his position and Abbas accepted the resignation. He reportedly resigned due to the fallout over more than 1,600 leaked internal memos detailing negotiating sessions with Israel, which indicated that Palestinian peace negotiators were willing to turn over nearly all of the Jewish neighborhoods in eastern Jerusalem and accept a shared authority of the Temple Mount. In one document, Erekat told U.S. officials that the Palestinians were giving Israel "the biggest Yerushalayim in history." The documents reportedly were stolen from Erekat's office.
43. #13 LebanonBS - his LAUGHABLE ignorance & CROC TEARS
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (06.09.11)
Since 1993, Israel has ALREADY recognised the then PLO as a rep for the ARAB palis based on pali OBLIGATIONS agreed by Arafat. Obligations that the Arab palis have FAILED to fulfill to this day. LebanonBS is EQUALLY oblivious to the FACT that the ARAB palis were doing EXTREMELY well while they were under Israel's DIRECT administration (aka occupation). So well so that their GDP actually SURPASSED my country. It was only AFTER Arafat took over the administration in early 1990s and THEN decided to launch TERROR attacks against Israel that the palis SUFFER setbacks. Despite his Oslo PROMISES, the TERRORIST leopard and his kind are UNABLE to change their spots. If LebanonBS is REALLY concerned about pali kids dying, he must DEMAND that the palis to STOP pushing their children into CONFLICTS or use them as HUMAN SHIELDS. Then again, SELECTIVE ignorance, BS and croc tears are so BFF as far as he is concern.
44. Freeze->Time on Arabs' Side. Build->Time on Israel's Side
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.09.11)
Freeze means Arabs can again afford to thwart all progress to change the demographics in their favor. Building & expanding settlements means Arabs lose ground every day that they refuse to come to a peace agreement.
45. The Arabs Must Stop Building Now!
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (06.09.11)
Further construction of Arab housing in the Land of Israel is counterproductive to peace discussions. It shall be impossible to further talks with the Arabs until they immediately stop the illegal building of their homes in the Galil, Golan, Judea and Samaria, not mention in Jaffa and Jerusalem. We cannot allow the Arabs to build ubiquitously throughout our country and, by so doing, usurp additional lands which the Jews legitimately need for their development and housing.
46. Ignore this unreconstructed terrorist...
Adam ,   Golan Heights Israel   (06.09.11)
Time has come to simply ignore these unreformed thugs, until they come to sit down and talk. Let them do whatever they like. If they ask for war, kick their asses back to arabia, and to hell with them.
47. the only solution
gdfathermax ,   tel aviv israel   (06.09.11)
is to annex the settlements and the jordan valley to israel and build more and faster. facts on the ground. there can never be peace with our enemy's. read the tora. everything else is bull-shit !
48. Erekat read our lips: Palestinian freeze on violence a must
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.09.11)
The Arabs who call themselves Palestinians again show how the world is dumbing down and we'll all end up be slaves to the Taliban in the end. The Palestinians refuse to abandon violent attacks on Israeli civilians. These attacks occur DAILY yet are almost never reported in the press unless there is a fatality or serious injury. Erekat is just another criminal thug who insists that the "right to resist the occupation" gives the Palestinians the right to attack Israeli civlians. It doesn't. "Palestine" never existed before. It is a fiction. Check your history books and the newspapers from 100 years ago and you'll find that when you said "Palestinians", you meant Jews. Now, Erekat and the criminal regime he speaks for announced last week that there will be "no" Jews allowed in a future state of "Palestine". Who are the racists? The Palestinians, of course. Where is the apartheid? Alive and well in the west bank and Gaza. As usual, collective Jew hatred drops the IQ of the world down by a factor of 10.
49. Latest folly
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (06.09.11)
Just read that Hamas is presently "mulling over" no longer taking an active role in the government. New, transparent stunt. What has any one of us to benefit from talking to these fools?
50. 35- They're lies are an incredible waste of time.
Ypip ,   Canada   (06.09.11)
51. Palestinian obsession
M. Roth ,   Switzerland   (06.09.11)
The Palestinians are obsessed with the idea of ridding Judea and Samaria of its Jews, but they do not seem to realize that THIS is apartheid!
52. to LebanonPride #40
HaifaGuy   (06.09.11)
You want a stronger comment? I bet you're Christian who (or whose parents) escaped Muslim mayhem that has been ruling your country ever since Bashir Jmayel was killed or even before. I'm at a loss trying to figure out what makes you so proud of Lebanon, a country you've abandoned.
53. It looks like the "palis" are getting a no win situation her
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (06.09.11)
54. OK, cancel right of return...
Paul Freedman ,   Falls Church USA   (06.09.11)
Hmmmm. Before any talks begin the Palestinians should cancel right of return, recognize Israel as a Jewish state and confirm Jewish rights to East Jerusalem. Who needs the talks when you can trot out preconditions?
55. Oh shut up already!!
BUILDING ISRAEL ,   United States   (06.09.11)
the pals are paupers and don't dictate beans to anyone, period. Israel has stomped them too many times to count. The jig's up, the Jews won, the pals lost. Time fro the pals to return to where they came from, any place but Israel.
56. LOL, that's why they and Hamas united???
BUILDING ISRAEL ,   United States   (06.09.11)
buy a vowel or an idea. The pals have thrown any credibility ( which was stretching it to begin with ) to the wind when they joined Hamas officially and became an official "terrorist Organization" as declared by the USA. Reasonable? Ya sure, like Anthony weiners, weiner.
57. Aren't you glad Israel kix their asses repeatedly?
BUILDING ISRAEL ,   United States   (06.09.11)
No wonder G-d chose the Jews... No one else is capable of being chosen.
58. #52
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (06.09.11)
That's even weaker, just showing your ignorance like the others on here. You know nothing about me, leave it at that. #55: The Jews won? This is a game to you?
59. Kinda sad...
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (06.09.11)
I've made about 5 posts not including this one, and only 2 have been approved while the rest of your radical comments get posted... By the way, I thought Israel was the victim. From reading your comments it sure doesn't look that. How about that.
60. #59 LebanonBS - WALLOWING in SELF-PITY
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (06.09.11)
Ha, so LebanonBS believes that his LIES and UNSUBSTANTIATED claims are NOT radical. Goes to show that the PRIDE is nothing more than pure BS. How PATHETIC.
