Face it, your leaders are jackasses, real h'meer, serial bunglers, thieves, terrorists, total slime. They have lead your people down so many dead-ends it's a joke. But, generally speaking, your people deserve no sympathy. You're only driven by hate & extremism. You'd cut off your noses to spite your face, meaning you hate us more than you want a normal future. Of course Abbas has other options. He could reject Hamas, agree to talks with no pre-conditions, agree to make concessions, stop incitement against Jews, & recognize Israel as the state of the Jewish people. But, he won't. So instead he'll get nothing & idiots like you will continue living in fantasy-land with your BS radicalism. For many years, you Palestinians counted on the dummies of the Israeli Left but your own actions under-cut them & they lost all support here in Israel. Now they are just a marginalized group of loonies that people make fun of. Today, public opinion here is sick of you, we're fed up. There are no more concessions, there is no more ''land for peace'', & truth be told, few care what the IDF has to do to maintain our security.
32. #26 You bet! Success on The Horizon!
Wissam ,   Palestine   (06.10.11)
I fully agree with you. This is an old trick, spreading rumors and falsifications (the same was used during the Nakba). If anything, this pathetic article (and others on Haaretz and Jpost) demonstrate that the Palestine Plan is working, and we are ON TRACK. We should also remember that the PLO has said it publically: We are not going to rely on the UNGA declaration alone, but will endeavor to get more recognitions from individual countries. Watch out for the Spanish and Irish recognitions in the next few weeks. Y

Leaders can make mistakes and correct them too. Real leaders can change and -even- do "the right thing" and this is not always what their constituencies want or anticipate. Doing nothing when you see the clear and present danger to your own and people's own self interests is likely the "wrong thing".

67 borders..what land swaps.... Israel won the wars that the Arabs started. Israel does not have enough current land to swap for what's their's legally. No country that has acquired land by winning a war they did not star, ever returned the land back. Only Israel has done it once for Egypt and look what she got for it. Why is everybody afraid to tell the truth that the Arabs started all the wars, lost their land (which was originally Jordan) and the current Palestinian state is Jordan and only Jordan. The whole world including Israel needs to get real on history. Jordan occupied the WB from the 1948 war, nobody forced Jordan to return it back to Israel after 1948 enough of all this BS.
36. #4,Rachel, you are SO right, the "tsunami"
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (06.10.11)
warning is the MOST idiotic propaganda word used AGAINST the interests of Israel which I have heared in a long time...! Not even Ghaddafi was crazy enough to invent such a term...

... and you know what wissam - you can be sure of getting the drunken scots on your side as well. You might have to buy them barrels of Whiskey, but then, for sure, you can count on their ridiculous vote!

Obama is now in the middle of an election campaign which means he can no longer be so anti Israel. Whilst there are plenty of pro peace process voters they are against any kind of UN imposed solution and if Abbas went to the UN they would want him to use the veto. Its the people who want him to use the veto who will decide if Obama is president in 2012 not the palestinians so no matter how much he doesn't want to Obama will have to use the veto if Abbas goes to the UN directly and if that happens it will be the death blow to oslo. It most certainly will embarrass Obama and all his muslim outreach work will all collapse but its the price he will have to pay and personally the more humiliated Obama is the better. He has made himself openly an enemy of Israel throughout his presidency and so if he can be embarrassed while he is weak then all the better.
