If somebody crosses a border in a conflict zone without permission and refuses to stop when ordered to do so by border patrols, then it is normal procedure for the border patrol to open fire and ask questions later. It's called security.

The difference between the Syrian refugees crossing the border into Turkey and the situation on Nakba and Naksa days, is that their intentions are to flee a barbaric regime which is butchering them. The reason these people want to enter Israel is to undermine Israel's legitimate sovereignty. For that, Israel has a right to defend its sovereignty and its citizens. Funny, just 2 weeks ago, when 12 Kurds crossed the Turkish border, they were shot dead on sight and no-one said anything. Is it not at all funny that nobody raises the point that the area on the Syrian side of the border is a closed military area where no civilians are supposed to enter? So, either these masses should actually be considered military personnel ( thereby being considered invaders and should be dealt with accordingly), or Syria is in serious breach of international law regarding the sanctity of borders as well as in breach of the 30 year old armistice agreements on the Golan Heights. Either way, Syria is responsible for this provocation and breach and she should bear the responsibility for any and all consequences that result from it. You CANNOT intentionally create such provocation, irresponsibly send "innocent" (not) civilians into a closed military area and then blame the other side for the deaths that result from this action.
