graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (06.10.11)
Terrible thing for the Palestine resistance to have to do, but they need to do whatever is necessary to root out the West Bank settlements and finally the illegal grand settlement that calls itself the state of Israel. Given the new Arab motivation and strength, that time will come very soon.

Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota   (06.10.11)
Yes actually they do Just like the muzzies did pre 1948 in Judea ,Samaria and Jerusalem.Arabs can't expect over a Million of them living in Israel and no Jews living in Judea and Samaria
33. My comment @5 was actually meant @6

open fire with what? remember their weapons were taken away from them a few months ago.
35. When a Mosque is attacked the IDF find someone to punish
rebecca ,   Modiin   (06.10.11)
When a mosque is attacked the IDF and Israeli authorities got to extreme lengths to find and punish the perpetrators. If they cant find them they arrest youth from the nearest Jewish village. When Jewish Prayer books are burned, and the perpetrators announce to the world what they have done - that's ok. They're Arabs.burning Jewish books. Double Standards??/
36. The 'settlers' should be armed!!
Chaya ,   Tel Aviv   (06.10.11)
37. #19, don't be so quick to blame the Arabs
Jake ,   USA   (06.10.11)
The Holy Land has a long history of colonist elements fomenting chaos between residents, to "divide & conquer" if you will.
38. To: No. 17
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.10.11)
Actually, how the ersatz "Palestinians" feel doesn't come up on my radar at all. But -- since you brought it up -- how do you think the Jews feel about six wars and seven decades of unrelenting ersatz "Palestinian" terror? Hmm?
39. To: Judge Haddat at No. 25
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.10.11)
I really don't care much about "international opinion." International opinion never wanted to see a State of Israel and looked on unremarkably while six million Jews perished. The international community can -- to use a rude vernacular -- f**k itself.

Israel is number one? Perhaps you haven't noticed (in all likelihood because you've had head up your ass), but it's the Arabs who are carrying out the murders and provocations. Who are the suicide bombers who've slaughtered and maimed hundreds of innocent Israelis...both Jews and non-Jews alike? And who are the savages who slit the throats of infants or gun down entire families? Who launched a war in l967...which, by the way, is the reason Israel has control of the territories? And maybe the news has yet to reach you in far-off Thailand, but the Syrians, Libyans and Iranians are slaughtering their own people even as you're reading this.
41. state sponsored desecration
observer ,   Egypt   (06.10.11)
Three days ago, during Shavuot Holiday, the visiting Jewish group to al-Masjid al-Aqsa Compound was drinking wine and breaking the empty bottles on its ground to celebrate the Jewish Shavuot holiday. The Jewish group entered the compound through its Maghreb Gate with Israeli police protection. In Islam, alcohol is forbidden, and bringing it into a Muslim holy site is considered to be desecration.
42. @25 I agree but for different reasons
joe ,   st louis usa   (06.10.11)
International opinion didn't accept Israel's war for survival in 1948 nor in 1967, didn't accept Israel's bombing of the Iraqi nuclear reactor. But they got over it, and may even understand that Israel saved all their lives. International opinion doesn't accept a lot of things, but fortunately they rarely ever act on those opinions either. If they did, Israel would not exist. But I agree that we should not annex for the same reason we haven't annexed yet: because we are, and wish to remain, a Jewish democracy. If we annex, then the residents either become voting citizens (hence no more Jewish state) or they do not become citizens (hence no more democratic state). Some people talk about forcibly ejecting Palestinians to Jordan. While this may make some kind of historical sense, I really believe that as an emotional matter the majority of Israelis could never bring themselves to do this. I mean a talkback or an op-ed is one thing, but to actually put on a uniform and do it -- I think it would just break our hearts. I think if we really felt we could annex or expel, we'd have done it already. And so, we're left in a bit of a pickle, just as we have been since 1967.

Brod ,   USA   (06.10.11)
Is this what Barak has done to Israel?
44. Arabs STILL doing this after a century
EZAL ,   US   (06.10.11)
Land purchased by Jews were raided, burned and squatted on after they murdered scores of Jews who'd purchased the land legally...over one hundred years ago. Now, after they refused to accept the land from the league of nations and the UN, they claim it's theirs and resort to the same savage tactics as they have for far too long. We should RAID every Arab village and take all offhand belongings to pay for the back taxes they owe for squatting on our LEGALLY captured land after their bloody assaults and wars FAILED. Just take it all back and let them be absorbed into the homeland the world gave them (even though it's NOT Arab either)...Jordan. We all know that in the future there won't be many Arabs in Israel: NOT because of the Jews but by the hands and doings of the aimless Arabs themselves. Humans can only be terrorized for so long before they explode. The Jewish people have YET to explode on the Arabs but that day is Very near. Tic-toc.

Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (06.10.11)
Unfortunately they don't have a 2nd Amendment or a National Rifle Association to stand up for them like we do.
46. Arab apartheid
Harvey ,   London   (06.10.11)
Israel is disgracefully labelled apartheid by hubris riddled BDS Ngos whereas the reality is that the only true apartheid is that displayed by each and every Arab state plus of course Iran . Jews cannot live [ not that they would want to ] anywhere in the Middle East outside Israel . Egyptian Copts are burnt alive and gunned down in their own churches .All the while Israeli Arabs enjoy the highest standard of living anywhere in the Middle East . If that was not the case they would have left long ago . Abbas has made it clear no Jew will be allowed to remain in any future Palestinian state in which case why go through the motions of giving him a state .
47. What part of 'an illegal outpost'
Tomek ,   Poland   (06.10.11)
do not you understand? If there are squatters in my house I will kick them out even if they set up a preyer corner in my kitchen.
48. Useless US leadership
BH ,   Iowa   (06.10.11)
BHO is on the side of the bookburning arab usurpers.
49. Issue a fatwa
Steve ,   USA   (06.10.11)
On Muslims worldwide, massacre them in there beds...oh ya, that's a Muslim thing not a Jewish thing. Sorry. Of course if it was the other way around (Jews torching the Koran) this is the kind of talk we'd hear from the whole Muslims world and condemnation from the Eurostanians till our a**es puckered!
50. #2 & 29 -- narrowminded and delusional
Jay Engelmayer ,   Modiin   (06.10.11)
First, why am I a disgrace? because my opinion differs from yours? That alone says much about your character Second, I think you are referring to "Eretz" Yisroel, as for the Medina, the state, there are boundaries and they are clearly defined. According to your thinking, we should set up outposts in Baghdad too. DO your children risk their lives to protect the land outside the borders of the state? I know I have reservations about sending my kids to protect 15 zealots as they commit crimes in the name of God and inhabiting "The Land". I chose to Live here because I love the country, I chose to live here knowing my kids will be called to protect the country. When Moshiach comes you can have the "Eretz", for now be content on making the "Medina" second to none. There is enough problems within the lines to deal with - why throw our resources and endanger our children trying to secure territory outside the lines???
51. Wild Wild West
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.10.11)
The American Indians tried to stop the white man and failed. They were defeated and now we can claim their land as "ours." Of course I know it is not my land, no land belongs to a person, but I do have the title to it. It will be mine as long as the regime will protect my title while I pay my taxes to the regime. Until then, and if the regime fails to protect me, I will take the law into my own hands and burn any settlers and their books that I find on my land. That's how we still do it in the Wild Wild West.
52. UNSCR 267 (1969); capturing land in defensive war ILLEGAL
observer ,   Egypt   (06.10.11)
Reaffirming the established principle that acquisition of territory by military conquest is inadmissible, Reaffirms its resolution 252 (1968); Deplores the failure of Israel to mentioned above; Censures in the strongest terms all measures taken to change the status of the City of Jerusalem; Confirms that all legislative and administrative measures and actions taken by Israel which purport to alter the status of Jerusalem, including expropriation of land and properties thereon, are invalid and cannot change that status;
53. Israeli govt must stop protecting would be jew killers for
(06.10.11)
the sake of international approval by other would be jew killers. Jew killing arabs and muslims should be deported to enemy arab countries like lebanon and syria. carve out an enclave in those countries then transfer the illegal squatters from jewish land back to where they come from
54. My land, your land. Conflict is not about land.
USA   (06.10.11)
Arab-Israeli conflict is not really about land per se. This is a religious conflict, a religious war. They have a religious obligation to to "resist", wage jihad against Jews. Therefore it is dumb to talk about land for peace, it is dumb to make "painful compromises". Israel is a threat to Islam and will always be that threat no matter the shape, size or form of the state of Israel.
55. #31 graczek
Phil ,   Ireland   (06.10.11)
They didn't "have to do" this anti-Semitic crime. They do have to cop on and live in peace with Jewish people. If they try to "root out " settlements from Judea and Samaria, they are the ones doing illegal activities. What law states that Israel is illegal? There is none. Your attitude does not help Arabs one little bit. The more they fight Israel, the more they lose. So it is in their own interests to stop fighting. Arab motivation and strength? Ha, they have been trying for long enough to know that their efforts are nothing.
56. #41 observer. If......
Phil ,   Ireland   (06.10.11)
If they had burned property or the Koran, then you would have a point. Bringing alcohol onto the site does not equate with what was done in Gaon HaYarden. You may think it does, but no logical person would think that.
57. A mosque was razed
Sam   (06.10.11)
a mosque was razed by Israeli forces just the other day, so spare me the hypocrisy.
58. #25 Mr. Haddad
Logic ,   Israel   (06.10.11)
I agree with you Sir. No one can morally "repatriate" anyone and I and the vast majority of people in Israel stand against this. Those extreme comments are causing immense harm to Israel's image and I hope you don't think reflect the true Israeli society.
59. Judea/Samaria residents must be armed and ready.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.10.11)
Uudea/Samaria residents must be armed and ready to deal with further Arab attacks. There is only one way to deal with such thugs. They must be made to pay a severe price for their thuggery. Next time, send the thugs packing with significant casualties. And the time after that, if necessary. This tiny land is ours and we must be prepared to claim, love and defend it. If there are any legal repercussions to those who defend their property and our land, almost all of Israel will rise up to defend our heroes/heroines.
60. the best nazi style from the "palis"
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (06.10.11)
