1. Assad can kill as many Syrians as he likes.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (06.14.11)
But one thing is sure. If his rotten regime survives, it won't take long for the idiot politicians in the West to forget all about it. It will be business as usual. And don't think for a minute Assad doesn't know it.
2. so much for free speech, ynet never posts anything I post
Farhun ,   Cairo, egypt   (06.14.11)
I guess this is israeli way, in last 2 days ynet never posts anything I write. So much for free speech
3. Where is Iranian Monk now to blast Syria meddling in Israel?
Marco ,   Spain   (06.14.11)
4. forget riots and prepare for war
zionist forever   (06.14.11)
The riots were nothing but if things change in Syria and it looks like Assad might just be toppled it wouldn't surprise me if he declared war on Israel. He will loose anyway but if things go as planned he will be a hero and if it backfires they will kick him out because he humiliated the country. It will probably start in Lebanon with Hizbollah see if a distraction coming from Lebanon is enough to save Assad and if not then he will find a just cause to come to Lebanon's rescue.
5. Faltzan No. 3, you are posted
Marco ,   Spain   (06.14.11)
You complain about the last 2 days but I have tried for 2 years to post in Egypt newspapers websites especially since January hundreds of times and not posted once. So much for Arab "spring" freedom!

Contemplate the possibility that you have not had anything worth saying.
9. To: Zionist Forever at No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.14.11)
You do, of course, realize that if Assad declares war on Israel, Aleppo becomes Israel's new northern border. I bet we can make the Turks stop stealing Syria's fresh water .....
10. miacael weiss
shmuel ,   au   (06.14.11)
actually works for an israeli funded organization called just journalism whose only aim is to attack media criticism of israel. the organization is well know for its unfounded hasbara. why did ynet point this out..

12. failures: mines, intelligence, PR,...
observer   (06.14.11)
aired videos showing Syrians moving freely in the buffer zone means negate functioning mines. The document says: agent leader Samer Shahin provided with pathway to evade mines. The whole story, if true, was prepared without the knowledge of Israel's intelligence that is another failure, but real fiasco is that the document itself is most likely faked one by the Syrian opposition. The authenticity of any document is guarded by the missing serial number at the top of the paper. The great fiasco is the loss of the PR war, 4 months long before the September UN bid.
13. The hangman’s noose is still swinging
Stephen in New York   (06.14.11)
over a lamppost and awaits Assad. This little trick won’t postpone the inevitable.

19. To #16
John ,   Alaska   (06.14.11)
That was my question, whether Aleppo was within the boundaries set by HaShem for Israel. I wouldn't be surprised if the Almighty was moving Assad and the rest to attack Israel soon, so the Jewish nation could defeat her attackers and, in so doing, expand to her Scriptural borders.
20. #2 - maybe your comments are just ranting nonsense
William ,   Israel   (06.14.11)
Which I believe would be welcomed whole-heartedly on Al-Jazeera, Haaretz or BBC. have you tried those venues?

Knock Knock.....UN??????...Are you there????? Knock Knock...oh well- try you tomorrow
23. To: John at No. 19
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.14.11)
Indeed it was. Halab. Jews surnamed Halabi and Halevi are rooted there. As you probably know, the tribe of Levi was never apportioned land, but rather given cities. Halab (Aleppo) was likely one of them. Halab is also the Arab name for Syria. Doesn't matter. It's all going to revert to us, sooner rather than later.
24. UNifil troops are supposed to be policing that border.
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (06.14.11)
i am more keen to see focus on the UN here. As they clearly do not/are not take/ing their responsibilites in this part of world seriously at all. Funny how Libya is being raped by the a UN backed one sided war all for oil and 'interests'. Theres nothing be raped of in Israel or Syria in this case. Hence the global anti-Israel i.e. Semitic reportage from this part of the world. Israel cannot possibly ever get a fair hearing while it's crazed enemies are floating on seas of oil. Humanity to the UN is always secondary, sadly. Back to the story in hand - is this news?!
25. syria
ann ,   sydney   (06.14.11)
how surprising!!
26. Give me a break ,...
split ,   US   (06.15.11)
This "document" is as credible as Mr. Weiss the spokesman for Just Journalism an organization that monitors coverage of Israel in British media. The mayor of Quneitra had nothing better to do or had no other choice but to send the document to hasbara watchdog ,...
27. Borders with Syria
Ameridane ,   Aarhus, Denmark   (06.15.11)
The Soviets did it, the East Germans, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Poland and a few other countries- electrify the border mesh- it will stop most attackers, and some will fry.
28. #24 UNifil
Jerry ,   Gan Yavne, Israel   (06.15.11)
UNIFIL is on the Lebanese border, UNTSO is the body that serves between Israel and Syria, and is made up of a small cadre of officers liaising between the two sides. Since there is no armistice agreement, just a 'temporary' cease fire, the UN cannot send in a full force
29. 27 - The Soviets did it, the East Germans, Hungary, Czech ,.
split ,   US   (06.15.11)
You read too much sci-fi stuff ;) ,...
30. #23
