Are you saying that the rabbi did not make this ruling? Or that he did, and did not say that she should harm herself. If something was taken out of context, then you should provide the missing information, not complain about Ynet's article. To me, the idea that a Rabbi would actually recommend that a follower should injure his or herself to satisfy the issue of modesty, is an issue that should be highlighted, and then condemned by the community. If what the article says is true, then the Rabbi is fostering extremist thoughts towards violence.

People must not confuse the Laws of Torah with radical beliefs. Judaism is a beautiful religion and should be respected even if you don't belive them. As far as I have been taught the law does not require one to wear a dress or skirt to feet-length. It requires one to wear it on the knee (nothing wrong with that). One should not inflict pain on themselves either as the body is sacred so this makes no sense and is one person's opinion.
