What we keep forgetting is that the Creator-G-d of Israel, made man with a conscience. That conscience does not want to be reminded that it is accountable to the Creator-God of Israel for thoughts, words & actions. Because of Mt. Sinai/Horeb, where the Creator-G-d of Israel chose a people to represent Him on earth to the pagan gentiles, these chosen children of Israel continuously remind the gentiles that they are accountable.
