I have found all these spy rings falling a part to me most amusing there is just no way that these many people are spies. They are just people that the govt and Hezbollah wants to do away with for some reason or other.
2. An explanation is not a reason
YaĆ«lle Schlichting ,   Raubling Germany   (06.18.11)
These poor guys fell from favor. The easiest way to put them away is to accuse them of spying for Israel. Under nasrallahism it should be impossible to prove their innocence. They are walking dead!
3. Ties?
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (06.18.11)
Ties between Hezbollah, Iran and Syria? No way. First of all, Iran is not interfering in any other country. Second, Syria is just another peace loving country in the neighborhood while Hezbollah is bunch of flower loving individuals. How can they be connected?

Old Nasrallah just couldn't let Egypt get away with nabbing all of the spies from Israel so he had to manufacture a few to let his followers know that he's on the job too!!! Israel needs to publish its' list of "spies" that are working for it and be sure to put Nasrallah's name on the top of the list!!! That would be a blast!!! Wonder how he'd talk his way out of THAT!!!
6. LET'S LOOK AT THIS, FIRST.
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (06.18.11)
To quote the article...near the end of it...it states, and I quote: "officials in Beirut announced the detainment of a religious cleric known as a harsh critic of Hezbollah on suspicion of spying for Israel." While probably impossible to find out, I WONDER, what percentage of the so called "spies" for Israel are "harsh critics" of Hezbollah. For that matter, whenever we hear about it, in any Arab/Muslim country, how many are "harsh critics" of the their government, in a political power struggle within the leadership of that country, or simply family feuds being settled with false accusations? During the last two Palestinian intifada, it was well documented, that it was a common way to settle old standing family grievances. In fact near the end of those so called uprisings...I use the term loosely...death tolls showed that Palestinians killing Palestinians outnumbered the IDF shooting of Palestinians. That's right! They killed each other at a higher rate. But again, as we all know, Arab vs Arab killings are virtually ignored by the Main Stream Media (worldwide).
7. At least these spies are Human

8. Hezbollah frightened
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (06.18.11)
Sounds to me that Hezbollah is frightened and, as a result, must "invent" spies in their midsts because something is beginning to fall apart interiorally.

Zyx ,   US   (06.18.11)
This is an internal political struggle and they try to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, get rid of internal opponants and try to look good in front of their public opinion.
10. Spies and witchcraft
John ,   New Zealand   (06.19.11)
Its the old trick of accusing political enemies of being spies or being influenced by Satan. Western countries gave up that sort of stuff centuries ago but it still has appeal in backward people groups.
11. I am willing to bet...
Oren   (06.19.11)
that israel has a lot of spies in lebanon and with all these alleged spies hezbollah always comes out and claims they caught that none of them are actually israeli spies...

joel ,   usa   (06.19.11)
IF THE MAJORITY OF LEBANESE JUST USE THEIR "BRAINS", THEY WOULD KICK OUT ALL THE HEZBOLLAH IN THEIR COUNTRY, THESE PEOPLE BRINGS "CURSE & POVERTY" TO THEIR LAND SINCE THEY ARE LAZY & CONTENTED WITH DONATIONS & ALMS FROM THE WEST, THINK ABOUT THAT?

you are absolutely right, someone is paying them to do that, nothing is really balance if you trust them, ok? just get those info from the citizens themselves who are there, not form the lying media, ha, ha, ha!
14. re: Nazrallah in lebanon
joel ,   usa   (06.19.11)
MANY ARE WONDERING IF NAZRALLAH GET ENOUGH SUNLIGHT FOR HIS LIFE BY HIDING IN THE UNDERGROUND IN LEBANON; DOES HE NOT HAVE FRIENDS TO TRUST TO? HOW CAN HE ENJOY IRAN's MONEY IN THE UNDERGROUND SHELTER?
15. spies nabbed
bachrach Andras ,   Kfarsaba il   (06.19.11)
the real reason these spies vere nabbed, that these people wanted to sew a longer flag like the sirians did.Andi mihakfar
16. Spies???
Sarah L. ,   Jerusalem   (06.19.11)
This is just Nasrallah's way of getting rid of his opponents.
17. Surprise Surprise?
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.19.11)
You think its a surprise? Hezbollah are more hated with fanaticism by ordinary Lebanese, Syrians, Palestinians, Druze, Christians and the wider Arab world than even Israelis because of the way they have treacherously created a de facto take over of Lebanon The sheer arrogance! Referring to their actions as 'caretakers and protectors of Lebanon!!!!!!? Come again? These are the very people who started a war with Israel that almost destroyed Lebanon? Come any new war that they start with Israel on behalf of Ahmedinejad - there will be thousands of Lebanese queuing up to Twitter Missile Dumps, Firing Locations, Command and Control Locations and most important - I believe that there are enough people who will know Nasrallahs and his foreign assocaties Hiding Place and Bunker To boorow a sentence from a famous song.. The times they are a changing!
