1. Dont you just love religion ?
Haim ,   Tel aviv   (06.27.11)
Always amazes me how so called religious people have the arragance to think they have Exclusivity rights on God as if thats not enough they need to shove it down everyone elses throat regardless of their beliefs.
2. That's all true!Those Bnei Anussim too!Xsthian Missionaires!
Justin Case ,   Brasil   (06.27.11)
3. Deny Jesus / Yeshua / Yehoshua
Yehonatan   (06.27.11)
The only way they can convert orthodox is if they deny Jesus / Yeshua / Yehoshua as messiah and / or lord and savior. If they can do that without word play sure. But these are 'messianic" missionaries that believe in Torah fan fiction (new testament) that need to be denied entry.
4. They'll be Palis soon.
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.27.11)
I think it is up to the Palestinian Authority to decide whether to let them settle on land in the West Bank. It might be worth waiting till September to decide on it with the full approval from some 150 countries. And as to religious conversion and the radio station, it's a minor detail in this secular world. Actually, if they play Gospel Rock-n-roll and Country Music, listening to it will be interesting.
5. missionaries seem more welcome
moron ,   galut   (06.27.11)
than religious in secular israel--they must be excluded by every means as israel's most inimical enemies..they will say anything they have to say to destoy judaism which does not bother some seculars who let them walk freely in israel
6. Trust the Haredi...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (06.27.11)
These messianic missionaries will forget all about the false messiah, before being converted.
7. Missionaries
Nachum ,   Israel   (06.27.11)
Over the years I have met several converts, even Orthodox ones, who converted in order to missionize. I do not trust this group and I think that Lia Shemtov and Rav Levanon are being very naive.
8. trust the haredim!!!!!
Ester   (06.27.11)
this is too dangerous!!!!
9. True intentions
Gefen   (06.27.11)
"This is a wealthy and educated segment of society" OK. So this is what it's all about; wealth. Just because N Americans can bring more money and knowledge gives them unquestionable privilege. Ridiculous. Most Christians support Israel in US not because they somehow started to like the Jews and the Semitic heritage now, but because they see Israel from a Christian point of view and there can never be such an opportunity ever than a present secular Israel.
10. Israeli people 2 smart for hypocrites
to to ,   n/a   (06.27.11)
If they are of Jewish decent I would guess there would be no problem. I am sure the people of Israel ignore jebus babbel all the time. Everyone knows these people are never what they say as you ca see in my opening line.
11. Haredi group takes on Christian converts
split ,   US   (06.27.11)
Are they (Christian converts) going to get a protection ? A police car with 2 cops in it 24/7/365 parked in front of their church/civic center, a surveillance system monitored by private security agency and local police station at the cost of millions of Dollars a year a metal & weapon detectors / scanners with an operator plus a periodical (usually once a week) check by an explosive sniffing K-9 unit, paid by an Israeli taxpayer ?
12. ORA, cheer up, all messiahs are the same.
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.27.11)
Are you really believing there is a difference between Christian and Jewish messiahs? First of all, they all are products of imagination, so the real question should be "is the Jewish imagination better than Christian?" Certainly, you cannot answer for the Christians, and not even for the Haredi side since Haredim are divided into various splinter groups. In this jungle, it seems to me the best is not to confuse the world with claims about messiahs. Let a messiah show up first, then enlighten us, ok? Keep up your good cheer, Ora.
13. Shemtov?? what does she know about anything?
shadoil ,   Jerusalem   (06.27.11)
14. Proof that Christian Jew hatred goes to every extreme.
JMK ,   NYC   (06.27.11)
Also it is not enough to be prey and simply protect the flock. Jews need to hear Rabbis say that Jesus NEVER existed, that the New Testament is FICTION, that Christian history is a FORGERY. Short of this they are cowards, both physically and intellectually.
15. Trust but verify! However, once they get immersed
Frank ,   USA   (06.27.11)
into Judaism, Jewish life and could read the Torah in the biblical Hebrew rather than some falsified interpreted version they would understand that in their past they were indoctrinated with a lot of inaccuracies.
16. About the Catholics and Muslims.
BeNJAMIN MEYHASHEEM ,   SINGAPORE   (06.27.11)
I am the very victim of christian oppression and missionary activities. 1. I am a jew by birth, but was orphaned at infant, later given away to a single parent/ mother. 2. I was registered in the Catholic Missionary School 3. All the people I the town knew that I am a jewish boy, because they know my history of birth. And I only came to know about these on the day my foster mother passed away. 4. Apparently, my maternal is hindu orthodox and my biological mother was Jew- Cochini Mattan Cherry Jew from the family of Meyuhasheem and Rabban’s- I grew up in Seremban ,Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. 5. It seems when my father married my mother both the Jewish and Hindu families excommunicated my parents. I am the victim. 6. My biological mother- died after delivering me, so I am named Benjamin Meyuhasheem by the old folks jews of that time. I was give away to my foster mother, I was brought up by her till the age of 13. 7. My Jewish identity and name was suppressed with a hindu name. So I grew up an orthodox hindu boy. 8. At school I was indoctrinated with the catholic religion. 9. Later when my foster mother passed away, the muslims started their conversion work. 10. As I was studying in the catholic school, I had to take catholic instructions. 11. All the jews left Malaysia due to anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist, I was left behind alone. 12. My house was set ablazed by the muslims. 13. The house of Eliyahu reverted back to the Islamic state. 14. I grew up alone, I went to school , worked from the age of 13. 15. I studied the best, completed the GCE O’level and A’level. 16. Applied to the University- I was give a place subject to the point I convert be a muslim. 17. They took everything from me, but I had compass inside me. I am different- I am an Israelite 18. I left Malaysia- went to Singapore and still staying here. 19. Here also I was subjected to many anti-semitic treatment. 20. I spoke to the Rabbi Mordechai Abergel and reported some incidents. 21. About the catholics- at the age of 13 I was sexuality molested my aclery in my school 22. Late I was again sexually molested at the Brother of Mercy Mission in Braddel Singapore. 23. My torah and my jewish article were stolen, later returned to me after one year. 24. I was manipulated by the catholic society of lawyers in a compensation claim. 25. I was humiliated by two preist, two lawyers in my pupilage application legal studies. They served me unkosher meals, at the bar dining 2009.Humiliated me in so many way, to the point I fell sick and failed the bar. 26. I fell sick. 27. 27 . The Jews forgot me and also treat me with indifference, too, this also happened in front of the Rabbi Mordecahi Abergel of the Singapore Jewish Orthodox Community in the Synagogue. 28 . I have suffered under the shadow of the Cross and the Cresent.
17. Christian Missionaries
RC ,   USA   (06.27.11)
Some missionaries are overzealous in their urge to bring the gospel (the good news) to the world, but Yahuwshuah’s instructions are clear; Luke 10:10, Mark 6:11, Matthew 10:14, Acts 13:51. The missionaries should not persist in trying to convert some one to any particular Christian religion. The Son knows the hearts of men and it is He who chooses whom He will reveal Himself to (Luke 10:22-24). Those who have read the many prophesies concerning the Messiah and refuse to acknowledge him will feel his wrath during the tribulation (Psalms 2:12). How sad it shall be when they realize that they turned their Savior down as did the scribes, Pharisees and the Sadducees (Matthew 3:7). They shall weep when they realize who it is that they have turned down over the times (Zechariah 12:10). Bless Israel and may ELOAH open your eyes before the time of His wrath comes upon the Earth (2 Corinthians 4:4).
18. #4, you do know that nothing will change in September..
Jake ,   USA   (06.28.11)
You speak as if something drastic is going to happen in September, that the fictional country of Palestine will rise from the dust and establish its sovereignty over the West Bank. I just don't see that happening. Nor do most middle east analysts. The West Bank is Israeli territory and will remain Israeli territory until Israel decides to pull out of the territory, which is highly unlikely. God bless.
19. the good news? no. 17 all the gospel has done
(06.28.11)
for 2,000 + years has wrought death destruction, wars, and death upon our heads, as jews. anti semetism woke up plenty. if JC was the peacful messiah why didnt he do it right the first time around? and usher in peace?
20. american nutters
brian   (06.28.11)
any xtians nutty enough to dream up such a scheme are obviously too far gone in their xtian beliefs to even consider converting to another religion let alone Judaism the only religion which specifically rejects Jesus as a madman . Even the Muslims accept Jesus as a gentle prophet. I laughed my way through the whole article. Religious people are funnier than John Cleese in The Life of Brian
21. are they fleeing from persecution in US?
(06.28.11)
22. Haredi group takes on Christian converts
Krystal ,   USA   (06.28.11)
They better not...... why waste tax pay dollars protecting religious terrorists? The xtians dont belong in israel, letting them stay is wrong.
23. @17
Krystal ,   USA   (06.28.11)
Keep your BS lies to yourself. If you ever REALLY want to learn the good news, ask a rabbi... a real one. Not some fake bull crap messie.
24. to 19 shalom
D ,   Israel   (06.28.11)
Persecution and hate is disguised in many ways but it does not mean that truth is to be ignored. The Mashiach was to be rejected at first as evidenced in the Tanakh. Isiah 53 is the most famous chapter. According to the Tanakh the Mashiach would have many roles, He would take our sins upon Himself and suffer for us and atone for our sins. He would not see decay (read David's Tehilim 16:10. The Tanakh points to Jesus or Yeshua in Hebrew, there is no other. Also the Mashiach is supposed to come from Bethlehem and today it even does not seem that Jews live there.
25. Not an intelligent, educated brain in the entire crowd
Thinking Jew ,   real world   (06.28.11)
26. #24
Yehonatan   (06.28.11)
You really need to read Isaiah 53 in it's context in Hebrew (like the entire book). What you are referring to is the suffering servant... which isn't the Messiah; it is the Nation of Israel. Isaiah refers to the nation of Israel as the servant of G_d and as the Suffering Servant. If Jesus had lived (he might have, might not have) as a devout Jew he would be horrified by the blasphemy the Christians have brought upon his name. Human blood sacrifices were forbidden by Hashem; and to say that Hashem took on flesh is idolatry... Hashem would never allow himself to be made into a graven image, man is a graven image of clay. You should seriously consider begging Hashem for forgiveness and go live a righteous life away from the idolatrous cult that is Christianity. I only say that out of Love.
27. Christianity
Child of God   (06.28.11)
I am a Christian and a strong believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I dare anyone to try and take my beliefs away from me. Yes, I could become a Jew and would even enjoy being One, but don't ever try and take the Lord Jesus Christ away from me or think I would even consider denying Him. Who do the Jews have to save them? Only Jesus Christ can help them now.

Ora ,   JERUSALEM   (06.28.11)
Careful now,don t let your brains go to your head.
29. Response to #19
RC ,   USA   (06.29.11)
What makes you think that Messiah came to bring peace to the world when he came? I will give you a hint; Luke 12:51. Do you think this world deserves peace when it hung to a cross its own creator (John 1)? We will not have peace until ELAH’s plan has been fulfilled. Do you think someone will explain it to you with a few words? Read the Bible with an open mind and ask your Creator with an open heart for understanding and you will probably get a glimpse of his plan. Even His true name has been hidden from the world by evil men, so if you want to find the truth you will have to do a lot of digging. Search for your Creator with love and faith and you will find Him.

No you couldn't ever become a Jew and believe in "Jesus Christ".And you don't understand true scripture when you say"Who do the Jews have to save them".You can believe whom you like that is your choice. But you certainly are not a child of G-d if you believe a man.
