2. No Pali rioting, and no arrogance by settlers in Yesha.
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.20.11)
Both cannot be tolerated. Naturally, the police and IDF need to be ready and a strong anti-rioting stance will be welcome. However, by September Israel ought to make unequivocal moves toward peace of which elimination of some settlements in the West Bank will be a necessary beginning. In the foreign policy arena, as the first step toward reducing the coming disaster, Netanyahu needs to express an agreement in principle with Obama's plan. Good luck to Israel in its smart moves. Very tough times lie ahead.
3. nothing will happen same old same old
(06.20.11)
it will not be any different than it has been for the last 63 yrs. this is all the same nonsense as it has been. a few bombs/rockets but the iron dome will take care of that. so no coz for alarm
4. Here is what we do
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.20.11)
We formally annex Judea and Samaria, and repatriate its Arab residents to Jordan, country of their citizenship. No muss, no fuss. Where are they going to put their "country" now? Who is prepared to enforce an unenforceable resolution? Yeah. That's what I thought. Let them have their imaginary country some place else. We're pretty sick to death of them.
5. declare state in august

8. @4&6 Repatriation Conference attendees
Jerimiah.   (06.20.11)
So guys and those who do not agree with your psychotic, final solution... ... repatriate us as well? Cell time? Cultural reeducation? Great minds really thinking eh? Here's a suggestion: get help soon!!!!!
9. #2 Michael
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.20.11)
You reslly should read what John Bolton has to say about this, it would remove the haze that covers your eyes they're NOT entitled to declare a Palestinian State, it's in violation of the UN's Charter How very generous for you to want Israel to give up soemthing when it's at absolutely no cost to you http://www.aei.org/article/103717
10. Palestinians are not Jordanians
Dutchy   (06.20.11)
Many Palestinians don't have Jordanian citizenship and Jordan won't want to accept them. There's no way you can force Jordan to accept them, since you have a peace agreement and it looks a bit bad to declare war on a country with which you have a peace agreement. Furthermore, the images of forced mass deportation will give lots of angry reactions in the world and I don't think your friends in the US Congress will be able or willing to do much to help you. What you don't want to happen to Jews, you shouldn't be willing to do to Arabs either. Jews and Arabs are just as human being and both come from Abraham. Racism against Arabs is just as bad as against Jews.
11. #4, #6 repatriation to Jordan = ethnic cleansing
ludwig ,   Europe   (06.20.11)
Sure. If you want to turn Israel into a rogue state, this is the best way …
12. ONLY WAR IS THE ANSWER TO THESE ARAB INVADERS!!!
James ,   Texas   (06.20.11)
13. Why the need for Israelis to have visas
jason white ,   afula, israel   (06.20.11)
and passports on our land? The illegal pali settlers need the visas and passports. ANNEX ALL THE AREAS NOW! Why not prepare the Israeli civilian population for this? Ask for volunteers from former I.D.F. combat veterans to be armed and trained. We need to be ready to put down internal riots by the fifth column.
14. Pickaboooo! Palestine's here...
Lynx ,   Palestine   (06.20.11)
Deal with it, don't fight it.
15. Sarah, you sound very manly
Wissam ,   Palestine   (06.20.11)
You're sure you're not a dude? By the way, what you are (he/she/it) your threats are just hot air and you know it. Just try "repatriating us" - how will you do that exactly? Care to elaborate on your little genocide fantasy? THOUGHT SO !!
16. Repatriate Ashkenazi back to Europe!
Nour ,   One-State   (06.20.11)
17. #7, Canada, Mexicans are great immigrants, great workers.
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.20.11)
They are welcome by many Californians. Mostly, there is no discrimination here. We are open minded and liberal. Good people live here, no racists and no anti Semites on the whole. I hear very good people live in Canada also, some of them.
18. Let's remember most of this mess is the responsibility of
Rafi ,   US   (06.20.11)
... the Netanyahu govt and its right-wing zealot allies. Both have consistently blocked any real progress on negotiations with the Palestinians who now feel compelled to seek other avenues to deal with their issues. (In fact, the zealots have sought to inflame matters). Likewise, this mess is largely UNNECESSARY. As predicted, the consequences of the narrow, selfish agenda of the right-wing (Jewish control of all Biblical lands) is being imposed on the state of Israel as a whole - and in this instance on the IDF and Police in particular. The September "Palestinian statehood" issue could have been avoided with different policies by the Israel govt - precisely the point Meir Dagan and other pillars of the defense establishment made two weeks ago. The real problem is that this may be only a portion of the overall of the diplomatic/ military consequences the right wing and Bibi have led Israel into. Needless to say, the IDF's resources would be better spent preparing for future involvement with Iran, Hizbollah, Hamas, etc. But that certainly cannot be allowed to come ahead of the right-wing's agenda !
19. wait and see
Yaëlle Schlichting ,   Raubling Germany   (06.20.11)
The declaration of an Arab state in the former British mandated area Palestine is a bit late and my question is: "Will it happen in compliance to UN-resolution 181?" If so I am wondering about the drama! +++ The problem, these stateless Arabs will have, they declare their state that fails to meet two of three fundamental requirements: 1. Peoples 2. is defined by a geographically clearly defined part of the earths surface and 3. has a stable government. +++ The future Arab state Palestine fails to meet the requirements 2 and 3. Period! +++ This will trigger frustration among its peoples and there are enough intellectual arsonists who will try to direct this frustration once again towards Israel. +++ Wait and see! We cannot repatriate them now. But violence coming from an alien state, is an aggression and I believe, that the Israeli government will make it clear to the then Palestinians, what the consequences are.
20. Sarah B.S
Marco ,   Spain   (06.20.11)
Repatriate all Jews that are illegal aliens to wherever they originally came from. Start with the thug Lieberman and finish with those imported Jews who were meant to serve as cheap laborers, and I mean the falashas here...
21. Just because int'l community jumps off a bridge ...
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (06.20.11)
As many mothers used to say, "Just because your friends jump off a bridge, that doesn't mean you have to do the same." Just because the international community is stupid enough to recognize a state of Palestine in a fashion contrary to international practice, does that mean Israel has to, just to avoid opposition "which could hurt its own status", as Diskin claims? It does not. And the notion of getting a visa to operate in "Palestine" is ludicrous. If Palestine remains hostile, the IDF must do what it must. Did it request visas to operate in Lebanon or Syria?
22. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.20.11)
No, I'm a woman. A very attractive one, I'm told. Repatriating you? Easy. Wait and see; it's coming. And you know what? We will be extraordinarily kind and generous and compensate you fairly for your property that you cannot take with you. Which is more than can be said for how the nearly one million Jews who were expelled from Arab and Moslem lands were treated. They were forced to leave with little more than the clothes on their backs. Count yourself blessed. We can throw you out very easily, and we'll let you leave with that which is yours. Think it won't happen? Think again.
23. To: No. 20
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.20.11)
I trace my lineage back to the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. Doesn't make a difference where Jews may have lived in the intervening 5700 years. Eat your heart out.
24. Michael 17's reply to 7
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (06.20.11)
Yes and the Mexicans are very good at filling up our jail beds and crowding our hospital emergency rooms. Tell us again how lucky you are and how well off California is right now.
25. To: Dutchy at No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.20.11)
West Bank Arabs and their progeny were granted Jordanian citizenship irrevocably in 1954. The late King Hussein tried to rescind the decree, but the Court in the Hague said it was not possible. West Bank Arabs travel on Jordanian passports. How many countries are in the habit of issuing passports to non-citizens? Nearly one million Jews were forcibly expelled from their homes in Arab and Moslem lands. They were forced to leave with little more than the clothes on their backs. It is not deportation, but rather repatriation. Big, big difference.
26. #22, Six bluffs
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.20.11)
Let's count: 1. "Palis will be transported to Jordan": remeber when Israel tried around a hundred of them to Lebanon? They sat in tents until Israel was forced by the international outcry to send them back home. 2. "Israel will annex the West Bank": 150 countries will unite and send UN troops to push Israelis back by force. Included will be U.S. troops. No way Israel will dare. 3. same as 2.: Add 2.5 million Arabs to Israeli citizenship and finish off forever the idea of a Jewish State. 4. (from previous postings) "Israel is unbeatable with its atoms": As a professional in the field I think it's a hoax. I do not believe Israel has an atom bomb. In any case, Israel will not be the first to try this kind of a weapon, even to the end. 5. "I am a woman": possibly a virago, sort of in the middle, but very masculine, indeed, in the redneck sense. 6. "Think it won't happen? Think again." It will not happen, indeed, you think again. Better yet, give up, with your low ... (rhimes with "dew") OK, six bluffs should suffice. Easily, I could beat Johnny Carson and exceed the count of ten, possibly thirty, so consider me 20% finished. You keep writing funny things.
27. Nour, Lynx, Abdalla & your Ilk
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.20.11)
Palestine is a mirage,it never existed in all the annals of history, it's in the offing, always just over the Horizon John Bolton, Former U.S. Ambassador to the UN has very clearly explained why this is so, citing all the UN Resolutions and circumstances that are applicable You can declare a Palestine until you're blue in the fact, the fact is that it won't be realized, unless certain pre-condtions are met Learn from Ambassador John Bolton, he has far more experience than the whole lot of you http://www.aei.org/article/103717
28. #11 Ludwig
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.20.11)
Jordan is 75% of Jewish Palestine, which was stolen by the British and given to Emir Abdullah of Arabia, for services rendered during World War One When Arabs are repatriated to Jordan, t hey're back at home in the Palestine of their dreams
29. #18 Rafi - Netanyahu isn't old enough
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.20.11)
to have been there at the onset of the mess, he was born in 1949, AFTER the establishment of the State of Israel Every PM that has attempted to negotiate with Arabs, has wound up with same results, NADA Their sole desire is Juden Raus Read both the PLO/Fatah Charter & the Hamas Covenant, maybe you'll get the idea Netanyahu wasn't even a gleam in his grandfathers eye, when the Arabs attacked Tel Hai and perpetrated the riots of 1929 & 1936 He wasn't alive when the Arabs attacked the Ambulance convoy enroute to Hadassah Hospital on Mt. Scopus, killing all on board
