Obama, shame on you!
2. Mr. Pollard Committed Treason against USA
Moshe Mordechai ,   USA   (06.20.11)
...he deserves to spend his life in jail for betraying his country. Had he cared more about Israel, he should have renounced his U.S. citizenship and moved to Israel; instead of betraying the United States.
3. I hope our cabinet...
Adam ,   Golan Heights Israel   (06.20.11)
....members follow the example of Ronit Tirosh, and boycott the current US administration. By all means maintain and build stronger ties with Congress, but this creep in the WH and his evil cabal are clearly not inhuman, and should be treated as such.
4. What were you expecting? For the US to suddenly become just?
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (06.20.11)
5. Pollard the "American' traitor' will
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (06.20.11)
complete his sentence according to American federal government prison guidelines. No matter how much you protest we will not let this traitor bask in the glory of betraying his country, so protest all you want that is the way it is and that's the way it's going to be. On another note Pollard is an American not an Israeli and religion has no sway in American policies because every man is equal regardless of religion or race etc.
6. #2; He was not convicted of treason. Get facts right.
Truth ,   Space   (06.20.11)
7. Please G-d curse the USA

and Pharaoh Obama.
8. # 1 Obama is inhumane!
Safta ,   Israel   (06.20.11)
I hope American Jews remember this treatment in 2012!
9. pollard
jj ,   montreal canada   (06.20.11)
Others who commited worst treason by giving information to enemy states got 4 years, Pollard who gave information to a friendly state which was entilted to the information got life because of a self-hating jew, Wineberger. Shame on America.
10. The behaviour of the US administration ...
Carsten Schmidt ,   Old Europe   (06.20.11) this case is inhumane. CS, Old Europe
11. Thats the way it goes spy...
rob ,   orangevale USA   (06.20.11)
Your dad is lucky we didn't shoot your ass. Then HE would have had to visit his sons funeral. Pollard is not the poster child for Israel, unless you really want the US to hate you. Spying on benefactors is stupid, especially when we pour out our national treasure, weapons, and continuously provide shelter from the worlds anger when Israel goes too far. Pollard has no real govt. backing or we would have quietly tossed his ass back home. Rot spy. Israel wouldn't last too long without the USA. I know proud Israelis will howl at that statement, but its the way it is. Who cares about Obama, he will be gone soon enough. At most 5 or 6 years. America loves Israel. Don't f#$k that up. Shalom, Rob Rob
12. #2 Judge, Jury and executioner idiot savant
Jeremiah   (06.20.11)
Know the facts of the case bub. Jonathan informed Israel of her arab enemies' intentions... information that the US was purposely holding back from Israel in violation of a treaty with Israel. Their reason? the history of the case and you will find a trove of really nasty stuff about the US State Departments, embedded anti-Semitism. Yep anti-Semetism got that? In addition even the FBI concluded that he was not a mercenary, but was ideologically driven to save his people. Jonathan wasn't convicted of treason, he was convicted of whistle bowing and shaming the US and its official policy of machiavellian, double dealing... which is par for the course for the US. No Jury convicted him, only a judge that now recants his sentencing. Anyone still want a whiff of Obama's made in the USA Arab Spring cologne?
13. unforunatly Israeli-US politics is preventing...
Galut ,   Selah   (06.20.11)
any softing of the US position on Pollard. a sad thing that a simple request - such as a funeral is denighed....
14. How about a prisoner exchange?
Jewish Warrior   (06.20.11)
Yitzhak Rabin once noted that every few years, Israel catches an American spy, but rather than making the scandals public, covers them up and deports the agents. How about the next time a CIA spy is caught, exchange him for Pollard?
15. what do you expect?
tom ,   toronto, canada   (06.20.11)
sadly, jonathan pollard is a political "hot potato" for the israeli government. israel stands to gain nothing, but lose a lot, by acknowledging him as working for israel. he is, after all not israeli. by contrast, gilad shalit is undeniably israeli, and therefore the government is ready to "pay any price" (in this case, release a thousand arab terrorists) for his freedom. not to do so would send a very negative signal to those serving in the israeli army. or maybe the shalit family has been more successful in mobilizing political support in israel, by such tactics as protesting in front of the prime minister's residence. jonathan pollard's family do not have the leverage to pressure the israeli government, or the chutzpah to stage a sit-in in front of the white house, and so he remains in prison, longer than any american spy ever convicted of spying for a foreign country.
16. When it is b.o.'s turn to die, it will hopefully
jason white ,   afula, israel   (06.20.11)
be alone. This administration is evil as well as anti Semitic. Hopefully they will all suffer greater tragedies than this!
17. to #2 Moshe Mordecai
Arn ,   Yehud   (06.20.11)
Moshe Mordecai... shame on you. Can you point to any other man imprisoned for espionage (forget about Israel being a friend and ally of the US) that was incarcerated longer than Pollard? How long did it take for Russian spies and Saudi terrorists to be sent home? But I know where you come from. Any man with two first names really lives his life never knowing where or to whom he belongs.
18. May G-d curse the USA
T ,   NY   (06.20.11)
19. Pollard
Michael ,   Connecticut, USA   (06.20.11)
Disconnect here. Israel engages American citizen to commit espionage against his country. Israel trades information obtained to Soviet Union to detriment of America. American spy is sentenced to life for betraying his country. Israel is upset because US will not let him out? PLEASE!
Rod ,   Fargo N Dakota   (06.20.11)
Even Ames and Hanson weren't convicted of treason. The US Constitution, Article 3, Section 3 defines the crime of treason as follows: "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."
21. Let's start picking Beijing as our favourite vacation spot!

23. hussein obama
fad egypt   (06.20.11)
was planning to close the guantanamo detention camp and free all the terrorists there just to improve the us image in the eyes of the islamic world but he is refusing to free pollard as a good will gesture to the ally of the us israel he even refused to allow him to see his late father before his death and also to allow him to attend the funeral shame on obama the worst mistake in the history of the usa shalom
24. Because Pollard is a Jew US Leaders Give No Mercy or Justice
Linda Rivera ,   New York, USA   (06.20.11)
If Pollard had been U.S. leaders' top favorite - a Muslim; it is extremely doubtful that Pollard would have spent even one day in jail. Muslim Brotherhood operatives have been quietly appointed by Obama to key positions in the American government. The goal of the Muslim Brotherhood: Muslim conquest of America and the world and the destruction of civilization.
25. #2-He is not only one
Anshel ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.20.11)
Jonathan Pollard is not only one who spied for another country, yet he has been singled out by the various US administration, in any event, what was big "big" betryal of Unitted States secrets? Information about Israel's enemies, whis US witheld fromhis ally? Give me a break!
26. Parole
David ,   Jerusalem   (06.20.11)
Pollard was eligible to apply for parole after eight years and six months, though he has never done so. Does anyone know why? Ina anycase, at the time of Pollard's sentencing there was a rule that mandated parole at thirty years for prisoners like him if they had maintained a clean record in prison. That parole date would be November 21, 2015
27. That's how it should be...
Mark Wilson   (06.20.11)
I pray to God that he rots in jail for his crime. He is nothing but a greedy, money hungry p$g, who would sell his mother for the right price...
28. Liberal Jews funded the election of this cruel muslum obumma
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.20.11)
29. You don't give to the state to get back
Talula ,   Israel   (06.20.11)
Unconditional loyalty to our country has no price and should not be cashed in at a later date. It's sad his father died, but he was caught spying - he was paid for his servicesand wasn't forced to do it.
30. Seriously
Gaddafi ,   London   (06.20.11)
Is Pollard the only Jew in prison in the USA? Is he the only inmate to miss his father's funeral? No.
