the center of the country. How about hi tech factories here in the Galil region. We do not need people leaving here for the center. We need to attract more Jews to the north of Israel or we will become the minority here.
2. Pity they didn't open where people need jobs!

Why not follow the lead of Intel which builds its facilities in the job starved periphery? Some international companies are all take and no give!
3. #1, #2 - AMDOCS already owns a bldg in Raanana

Are you asking AT&T to ignore an existing multi-million dollar building, in a prime location - near a highway, airport, and existing fast IT infrastructure - to build a new building some 2 hours away?? While it might help the public, how exactly would it help a business to incur such a massive capital expenditure? The fact this company is in Israel is a testament to Israeli talent and a boost to the economy by providing jobs which might have left since AMDOCS had moved some positions overseas prior to this agreement. Intel is looking to open another factory in Israel in the South. This comes with govt money. I don't think the govt offered much to AT&T to make the move. While I agree with both of you, don't blame the company. Focus your ire on govt officials who are NOT working to bring business to the Galil and Negev properly. It would solve both the low Jewish populations in these regions and the moderate unemployment of Israeli Arabs there.
